Logs
TFTC Sorry to say this cache was in disrepair. Photo taken and I believe info sent to CO by caching buddy Bobbiesgirl.Logged as BG & SDW. A couple of cachers come to Murwillumbah for 3 days together trying to get as many smiley faces as possible in that time. Thankfully it is a very rich area of caches to pick from well done to the locals for placing and maintaining. The hiring of E-bikes start of trail was a great idea but even then we only got half way. Just means we have to come back again to finish it.Apologies for the generic postings all logs signed and replaced as found.
Heading home after doing most of the rail trail and decided to grab a few more caches while we could. Nice quick find, TFTC
Family Connection - WoodlandsVisiting the Tweed LGA with chamad and geopup today to collect caches for a challenge. A quick find here, log signed, all replaced as found. TFTC Richmond Lad# 10136CheersWillis007
A lovely day in the area finding caches and this is one we found. All good here, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Richmond Lad.
When I first started geocaching it was with my daughter who was a young teenager at the time. Back then we thought it wasn’t a big deal to park on the side of a highway and run across the road for a cache.
Now that I’m older and arguably smarter or dumber, I take things a little bit more seriously. I also can’t run as fast. tftc

Such a pretty area, thanks for sharing your family memories / history Richmond Lad, my client and I loved that aspect. I am so lucky I get to geocache at work.
Heading back home from having a lovely lunch in Tyalgum and grabbed these caches while they were conveniently on the same side.. and having good pull over spots due to the high traffic on this lovely Sunday. TFTC.

It was our last full day in the region, so we decided to further explore the Murwillumbah area after our brief trip yesterday. 25 finds and just the 1 DNF for a great day in good weather, with just a few light showers.
We missed this on the way up - GPSr issues.... lucky my wife remembered we had, so we stopped for it on the way back.... TFTC!

I have decided to disable this cache as where placed it is now unable to retrieve from. Will visit the cache in near future and arrange placement of cache very close by.

Was given an afternoon to find a few more caches so had a plan to get some clues and then hopefully pick up some jewels in the current challenge (suspect I may need to finish off when I get home). Original plan was to drive via Chillingham and Tyalgum but a kid drop at the pool in Murwillumbah changed my final route. In the end got the clues required and seven jewels. Found 23 caches and the CO for the one I missed twice now has given me a hint so I might have most of the Tweed Valley done (until next visit) - a nice mix of caches found.
Last one for the day and this was a park and grab more typical of some of the others in the series. Though reading the logs had wondered why was not hidden more discretely (apparently was in there but someone attempted to test the strength of the barrier). All good here and on my way - diamonds finished with this cache.

After visiting family close to Stokers Siding I came home this way to visit these caches. I was pleased to be able to earn a smiley as I stopped and admired the creek here and took note of the family connection. Thanks for placing these caches Richmond Lad. I enjoyed finding them today.
Quick park and grab, it’s surprising how busy this road is in the middle of a weekday! TFTC
Out on a weekend caching run in the area with RoddyC, Hatzofff & Snickersallan.
Stopped here to find this cache. A quick find. SL then returned as found.

Day Two of our caching from our base at the Murwillumbah showgrounds. Today we were impressed with the coastal scenery as well as the hinterland scenery which presented itself at every turn. We enjoyed finding this cache. After being introduced to the chocolate coated frozen banana yesterday we were on the lookout today and managed to get one at the place just up from the Fruit Platter cache. Nice. Thankyou Richmond Lad for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Back in Down Under for the next edition of SuCos Great Australian Roadtrip!
Heading from Sydney to Brisbane in a HippieCamper, what a great fun...
Driving north towards Gold Coast, we took a nice detour along this tourist drive to enjoy the scenery and stop for some caches. Nice drive!
Another nice short stop with a find. TFTC

Caching drive the long way to Casuarina. Had a chat with a cow that wandered up the road to watch us looking for the cache. Didn't give us any help so lucky we found it on our own. TFTC Richmond Lad
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
I have always wanted to see how many caches I could find in a day. Today I see off on a caching run through Northern Rivers. This was find #25 for the day. My final tally for the day was 31. TFTC

Heading out for a grand tour of the Tweed Valley with joojoo57 as my chauffeur and guide. We set out from Tweed Heads, headed south to Murwillumbah, south again through Fernvale and Stokers Siding to Uki, north to Byangum and west to Tyalgum, collecting about 30 caches for me, and just 2 for joojoo
This series of caches were our main reason for the adventure today, as joojoo was keen to show me the places connected to her family. A quick find here, and we admired the name of the creek! TFTC, Richmond Lad.

Another quick find on my way north. Love hearing of your family history Richmond Lad! Found the alternate cache, since the original is stuck in its spot, due to the metal being crumpled. I don't think there's any way to recover it without a shifter or a hammer. Loved the mailbox at GZ! I reckon I might even build one similar. Took a few photos of it. Thanks Richmond Lad!
Quick find here today. There is a cycling event and the bikes conveniently held up the traffic so there were no cars passing by for a little while. Thanks for cache
Out for a milestone day of caching with stortigirls. I still needed to find a few caches to make the milestone, so we stopped by this cache. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Another quick find for Selva Girls and I here. We noticed the name of the creek before we even read the description. What a lovely area this would have been to live in. Tftc Richmond Lad
Mullumbimby Day 2
Today we went for a Sunday drive on a Thursday. Headed north & then circled back, travelling through scenic country side & quaint villages. Caches were well maintained & in some good locations.
As previous cachers had commented this guard rail has been squashed & unable to get the container. We have placed an eclipse tin with log for cachers to sign at GZ

Find No: 6584. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Chindera, as previous logs, a crowbar would help, photo of inaccessible cache herewith, thanks for the cache Richmond Lad!!
Found but impossible to sign without the 'jaws of life' to prise open the damaged guard rail.

Its interetsing having a creek named after an ancestor!
I encountered the same problem as the last cacher - the cache was visible but due to the damaged guard rail it is now inaccessible. Hope its OK to log it anyway.

2/7/17 Nanna Ruby & I headed south in convoy along Tweed Valley Way pleased to see a series of caches we could hopefully add to our weekend total. Although the GPS on our phones saw us overshoot GZ we parked & treked back to a successful find TFTC
Travelling south with toriakyogle in tandem. We overshot this one by about 100 metres but fortunately the road wasn't too busy. A reasonably quick find and then onto the fiveways. Thanks for sharing your family stories Richmond Lad.
Another great little hide. Thanks for the great series Quick park and grab here
