I was out this way to find some caches, so here was I. This took some time to locate. I missed it when feeling around, but I did end up spying it with a little climb. Then came the hard part - extracting it from its hidey hole. I ended up employing a tool from the car and even then, it didn't give up without a fight. Glad to have got this one sorted. Many thanks to TeamThommo for the cache.

13-Mar-23
We searched high and low for a while, put our fingers in what we thought were all the places but unfortunately no luck. We will be back

05-Feb-23
Found by Omegaman1971

Out and about with Rebel Acts in the area for our weekly caching expedition.

This place has certainly changed over the years, so many new neighbourhoods.

Needed a TOTT to retrieve the sneaky little sucker.

Cheers for the cache

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".

So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

**Thanks to TeamThommo for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

13-Apr-22
Cache is still there, but have replaced with new one due to damage plus fullish log

13-Apr-22
I knew it would be there! Logging NM just because a cache hasn’t been found in awhile is annoying.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for helping us out yet again.

07-Apr-22
No luck today.
Given it was last found in Dec 2020, not surprising. Previous logs also had no luck.
CO may need to do a maintenance check on it.

07-Apr-22
This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

29-Dec-21

Trick (verb) - to cunningly deceive or outwit.
Trick (noun) - a cunning act intended to deceive or outwit someone.
We felt tricked by this cache, and could not work out the trick. Thanks anyway, TeamThommo for providing us with such a conundrum.
Chiefton.

29-Aug-19
Waaaa We’ll be back.

03-Aug-19
This being my second visit, I was determined to have success and after another search I came up empty. Time to read the logs and suddenly a lightbulb went off in my head. With a second pass for the day I suddenly felt something I hadn't before and after some fiddling I had the cache. Deceptive little sucker. I quickly signed the log and replaced it as found. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams

27-Jul-19
No tools didn’t spend too long looking

06-Jun-19
Many thanks to 999Hunter & 999HunterKid for replacing this log for us Smile

14-Apr-19
Found it while on a bike ride with family.
There was only 1 place left on the log so i signed it.

May need more papper

14-Apr-19
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

24-Mar-19
Took some searching but we came across this tricky hide. A very nice caching effort. Log sheet is almost entirely full (1 spot left) so may need replacing soon. TFTC. Great fun!!

17-Feb-19
A relatively quick find. Found with my hands rather than my eyes. Didn't require any tools. A bit confused about a photo posted by a previous finder showing 2 nano containers. The cache I found was neither of these.

Find 1973
Finally a little success with Team Thommo caches today. It took a while at this lovely spot.
Log signed on a very full log sheet and all back safe again.
Thanks

20-Jan-19
Well I really wanted to make this DNF a find and found I did! Good hide. TFTC TeamThommo!

12-Jan-19
Found it with SciFiRulz as team nicnax TFTC Smile this one has been a real pain, I've been back a number of times looking for it over several years. Having found it I could just kick myself.

12-Jan-19
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Finally got this one after trying numerous times. PapaGrouch discovered it then we had to try and extract it, not easy as it was replaced backwards. Glad we have it ticked off at last. TFTC

Today we found A Hide in a Hide on our travels. Oh my goodness this has been a nemesis! I have been here with the middle child was on his learners after dropping the Chief off at the nearby Maccas for a meeting (never cache in a dress! I grazed a certain portion of my leg clambering over the rock wall! Ouch. Oh and ps, the middle child is now on his green P’s!) and the Chief and I have been here twice before and looked at every square inch of this bird hide and every time we’ve either been muggled out or run out of time & patience. Today was no different after searching the same places, then we PAFed and messaged the CO in despair. The PAF tried very hard to help us poor fools and we searched the same places again. Long story short I finally did something someone my age is reluctant to do....no spoilers...& I saw the elusive little bugger. Very bossily told the Chief to hand me his retrieval tool and the cache was soon in his hand. He signed the log and was confident he could return it now he knew what was going on! It feels so very good to get this one off the books. On our return to the car the Chief noticed he had a message from the CO. Yep, we can report the cache is definitely still there and there is definitely only one in situ. Favorite, if only for its ability to drive you nuts!

Thanks TeamThommo for being part of our geocaching fun.

02-Jan-19
Why did I go for this after “cheers big ears”? Definitely going to have to come back. I’ve seen enough comments for both of these caches to be convinced they’re there. Thanks for the challenges yet to be overcome.

14-Oct-18
We had lunch here before we tackled this hide. Glad we did because after nearly an hour and both of us checking and rechecking ever inch of this place, we were nearly ready to give up. We were given it another 5 minutes when the geo husband found your sneaky and clever cache.

Cheers TeamTommo.

Find #9597

After completing the P.I.G. Series, I decided to grab a couple of trads "On the way home"

This one took some finding and I also had to wait out the nearby neighbours who were talking in the street.

Many thanks to TeamThommo for the cache. TNLN.

Met up with Teammoss5 and grannygeo64 at this pretty location. They laughed as I nearly found the cache immediately, but then somehow kept missing it for the next 10 minutes!!
I never claimed to be any good at this game, lol!
Thanks for the fun, TeamThommo.
Smile

09-Nov-17
TeamMoss were kind enough to alert me that this one was inaccessible a month ago, apologies that I’m only posting a note now. It’s been a busy year!

I checked it out three weeks ago when I was in town and there was some tape across the front of the hide. Possible put there by the council.

Yes, technically you shouldn’t go in there but from what I could see, you could and the structure was still sound.

Having forgotten to post the note I checked on it again yesterday and although the hide is a bit banged up the cache is still entact and able to be found.

The tape was down but I’m not sure if that was vandals or the council.

I’ll wait to hear the next report from Cachers and if need be I’ll check on it again in a week or so.

Hint - Cache is inside.

23-Oct-17
Bit of work going on to the hide, it was taped off. Couldn't find the cache maybe it is still there, maybe not. watching.

02-Sep-17
This certainty would have been a nice area before riff raff had got to it and broken things within the hide.
Between sporting event first thing this morning, I had a spare 15 minutes and with this being the closest cache rushed here. Was able to find the hide within the hide just in time.
Thanks for the cache Team Thommo

26-Aug-17
We found this cache today at 4:15pm as 6 of 13 on our Dandy to Packy Caching Afternoon. Located after a systematic search. Thanks from D & HA B-A.

19-Aug-17
No luck. Duck stays stuck.
Just ended up getting confused with this one. Spent a good 20 minutes before deciding to move on.
Thanks for taking me here anyway!

16-Aug-17
Well I thought that just maybe we could be friends after your nice Slog hides. Not too hard, but not boringly simple either. After I got dirty (geocaching in Victoria is a much dirtier past time than WA, the WA sand just brushes off), I read your replacement comment and made a quick find after that. It wasn't a quick find before that! No, seriously this is the type of caching I like, an interesting spot with some birds to watch and a good, yet simple hide. TFTC TeamThommo

13-Aug-17
Found it with help of my new tool with flying solo1

13-Aug-17
Spotted with use of a tool. Thankfully I was with Hellboy11 who did the retrieval. Wouldn't have been able to get it myself. Sneaky cache. SL. TFTC

17-Jul-17
Second attempt at this one. I brought along my special tool (or at least the tool I THINK I need) and proceeded to stick it in various holes (giggidy). Wasn't able ot entertain a find so employed the withdrawal method and pulled out (giggidy giggidy). Maybe next time.

29-May-17
Found with carkisser on a beautiful day out caching.
TFTC ..

28-May-17
Oh my stars. Who knew I'd need unfrozen fingers to do this cache. After much dancing around and cursing to warm up we made the tricky find. TFTC

22-Apr-17
I think that this may be a case of not equipped correctly

07-Apr-17
Well we were up and down and up and down pickles and ants ahhhhhh but while picking the thorns out I hear geokid8 say "got it" signed log and replaced. TFTC

25-Jan-17
Sad

19-Jan-17
They took a little finding. I'm guessing the 2nd one is for when the first log fills up. Careful where you feel here. I found a huntsman long before I found the caches. Lovely quiet spot for some morning tea and to enjoy the peep show. Tftc TeamTommo

15-Jan-17
I sense a theme developing for TeamThommo hides in the area. The spirit of Philipp would be pleased. I on the other hand was just pleased to make the find of a difficult to find cache albeit with a bit of prodding from SteMicMitSar who was a previous finder.

26-Dec-16
first premium cache ever! thanks teamthommo you made another great cache!

09-Dec-16
Had another look for this one but even with advise from a former finder we could not find it.

04-Dec-16
Had a bit of a look for this one but no luck, we will return.

22-Nov-16
In the dark last night we went to look for this cache. Although we worked out the construction of the hide and explored many parts, we didn't find the cache. This morning we returned and continued the hunt. After a few minutes the cache was located in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team Thommo for another good hide.

20-Nov-16
Out and about on a Sunday caching session and we visited this cache among what we did in a very hot Pakenham. A quick easy find by papillon4506 here - amazing.

Thanks TeamThommo for this cache placement.

20-Nov-16
A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today with mcsee&petal. I didn't hold much hope for this one given all the DNFs, but I got lucky and had the little blighter in hand in no time at all. It's such a shame to see the vandalism at this site. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

05-Nov-16
An interesting little bird hide, but no luck today.
Thanks to TeamThommo.

15-Oct-16
no luck so we moved on

15-Oct-16
