Took a hint from our caching companions to get us started on this puzzle.
Found the cute host after a bit of a search.
Out and about with the LAXA family chasing down a few solved puzzles in the Dawesville area.

Teamed up with Team fratra for today to find some long solved and specifically selected caches today.
we had some trouble deciphering the massage but got enough of the interesting part to find the cache.
After a bit of searching the cache was found.
Thanks for the cache Tango and Mistraluna for maintaining it.

Out and about finding Caches with Barnzy12 TFTH

Headed out for a days caching with Cravo10 between Cockburn and Mandurah, the majority of the finds being in Mandurah.

A great day out with perfect caching weather - slightly overcast meaning minimal muggle interaction. We were dampened a bit when we had a solid patch of rain.

Thanks to the local COs for a fun day out.

This puzzle was a long running work in progress - quite frustrating most of the time, and I admit I was thrown off by the 'bones' thrown in for good measure. I was tempted to give up on it several times but I knew Ralph, and that was just not his way. So I persevered down a path probably similar to other solvers before me until I finally had a very Ralph like scrawl before me. Arrived at gz and fortunately it was not raining as geo-hubby and I were there for much longer than we thought we'd be. Couldn't find the container and after fifteen minutes we were about to walk away when geo-hubby spotted a slightly different colour in the leaf litter. Don't know why he looked that way because I was focused on another area several meters away where the gps led me. On hands and knees he crawled into the scrub to investigate and yes indeed, a very apt camo revealed itself - apparently fallen from its intended higher location. Replaced the container at about calf height, so should be more visible than when we found it. Yep, we earned our Smackos! Thanks for the memories Ralph and for all your other very fine puzzles.

After months of trying, enlarging, printing, scribbling (even got new specs!) I FINALLY solved this one so wanted to go & find it at the earliest opportunity. As it had not been found for a long time we approached with some trepidation fearing it might have gone walkabout. However it was not only in exactly the right spot but its in very good condition too considering how long it has been since its last visitor. TFTC

Now that one took a while. It is quite remarkable how the brain works when you are dealing with a puzzle like this one. Well thanks brain for that. We got there.

Took a while to find the cache as it had fallen off its perch and wasn't quite near where it should have been. A bit of perseverance and it was found.

Quite a few hours of numerous printouts and scratch outs later, at long last I was able to track down the route of Ralphs tracks.
So today I had to seek out the memento he had left just to confirm I was correct ... and yes, there it was!
And even though I might deserve some of your treats, I am rewarding myself with a lovely chilled glass of NZ sav blanc instead. Thanks anyway, Ralph.
Many thanks for the enjoyable puzzle and the cute cache, Tango.

*FTF* Saw this puzzle come up in the usual weekly notification and thought the puzzle looked very interesting. Ralph does some very fine puzzles! I spent quite a few hours solving it and then realised we could be FTF. Mrs FWD was tied up with a golf meeting, so Mr FWD grabbed a friend and headed off to Mandurah to find the cache and do some male bonding.TFTC. Loved it and it gets a favourite from us.
