We are from Switzerland...and we travel all states and Terrotories of Australia .We do housesitting all over the world and travel afterwards. Its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching Nggi2 and I decided today and to make out of green ones Smilies . Here we had the right thing in mind and I even tried to open it but it needed a strong man for that ! Good job the owner came home ..so it was clear it was the right spot.I`m afraid we were not so lucky and gave up after many miles and a few caches ....We carried our journey on to Clairview...Thank you for this Dsli ( which means is Swiss cache )oinkoinkText@campsite

Finally, after couple of years have passed since I logged a DNF, we stopped here for another try. Bingo! After QOGM 2023 in Longreach, TBU went on a round trip via Mount Isa, Burketown, Karumba, Ravenshoe, Atherton Tablelands down to Innisfail to Townsville. Now we are heading towards South back home, still refreshing our memories and collecting smileys. It was a nice variety of hides and we bumped into couple of cachers on the way. Thanks for this cache, NedandmrsKelly

Didn't spend a whole lot of time looking for this one. We had some curious eyes watching from nearby so we legged it. Will be back next opportunity.

Very sneaky hide. Would never have found if we didn't have the help of previous posters. Thx great find

I’m on a road trip from Brisbane to Cape York with Swellerfungus and Jezndez ……. Stopping along the way to stretch our legs and find some caches.

A tricky and fun find here. Thanks for the hide.

This hide head us fooled for a short time.. Gotcha in the end. Signed

05-Jun-23
We are newbies to geocaching and we’re not sure if we found it or not! We did find a damp piece of paper with sole numbers on it but nothing like the first one we found earlier today.

24-Apr-23
Found it! Tight squeeze and you should bring a wrench Wink

13-Apr-23
No luck here

25-Feb-23
Bryce Amy Tyler Momo!!! You had us for a little bit… successful in the end!!! #bunningssponsored

02-Feb-23
Aaaargh!

This is a cool hide but previous logs suggest it hasn’t been maintained well

The nature of this hide means the log will need to be replaced regularly. I replaced it today It is a tight squeeze.

Dropping off a FAVE for something a bit different

A planned trip north with a mate and his family, sees us checking out some of our great countryside. We got in some camping and in some not so usual spots. It has been fun and the best part is I get to cache in places I do not usually get to visit.

Today we are on the move again and heading towards Mackay. I wanted to be in MacKay for the morning event on the 8th. Ok this is for a challenge and it is the last date I need for this one so the nerd in me says it is important, lol.
On the way up there are just a few I wanted to stop at and a couple are ones I have passed before and said I will get it next time. Today was the next time and Clairview is on the list. Lol.

This one was a nice find thanks.

Thanks for the cache and the hide, I signed the log and returned the cache as found.

15-Aug-22
Passing through on our trek somewhere picking off a few caches on a break from towing.

Decided to walk the 300m to the cache as we are towing, got to the cache and found the logsheet wet and in need of replacement, guess what we forgot to bring, hopefully the next finder can help with maintenance.

Clever hide FP ️

Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 114. Marlborough to Rockhampton. Not only was today a short drive, but I had no huge caching goal. I still did the three caches around town before heading south along the highway. In order to not get to my next park too early I did stop at a few along the way, and also for a late breakfast at Yaamba. I like short days like this.

It felt a bit odd poking around the front gate of this property, but no one came out to see what was going on. After giving various things a once over, I noticed the important item and extracted the damp cache.

Thanks for the cache Nedandmrskelly

Looked for about 20min but no luck. Maybe next time...

Given the number of DNFs on this cache and the lack of hint. The CO should probably revisit the D rating on this cache.

The D rating is an indication of how difficult the cache is to find. When I am with my muggle wife I choose easy D rating caches so I’m not spending too long finding the cache. A low D rating is also a good indication that the hide would be good for newbies.

That is not the case for this geocache. It is almost certainly still there, but the D rating on the cache page definitely needs attention.

19-Apr-22
If this is a D1 I’m a monkeys uncle.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

Jodsta83, Stephyy and I are on the way to Townsville so we stopped here to help jodsta83 avenge a dnf. She didn’t need us as it turns out.
After both Stephyy and I had tried this spot then moved on, jodsta83 walked over and found it. Boom!

Thanks for the great cache, Nedandmrskelly

12-Apr-22
Here to avenge a DNF for jodsta83. Well it turns out she didn’t mine and Swearahs help now we both touched it but then jodsta83 came over and made the find. Love it thanks for the cache

18-Aug-20
Spent the night camped a few hundred metres south at the gravel pit.
I noticed last night it was not recommended at night, so rolled up first thing to have a squiz this morning.
Second guessed the hide at first, read some logs and with more confidence in my first guess, went back and almost immediately had my fingers on the log.
Found around seven am..
Now to go make a coffee at the rest area up the road.
Thanks ned and mrs kelly for the clever hide in an almost awkward location. Glad to find this one without 'local' help.

13-Aug-20
No luck for us today. It seems that when you read some of the logs, there is some help.

Rockhampton our final day.
Today we had nothing to look for in the town region so we took a drive up north.
Lots of roadworks on the way out of town, eventually made our way to our destination.
The caches were all found on qyiet lonely roads.
Thanks for placing this cache Nedandmrskelly

31-Jul-19
Caching in and around the area, we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.

This took some time to find as we had no luck until the owner arrived and gave us a hint, wow what a great hide, a well manufactured cache container. Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

This being one of the closest caches to the area where I first lived, this had to be a must. Thanks to YOF for the find. TFTC and bringing me here once again.

02-Oct-18
Well, YOF wasn't going to let this one beat us. Had a hint given at QOGM, but that did not make the cache much easier to find. Well hidden - it was in plain sight all the time! YOF performed some maintenance for you.

02-Oct-18
Drove out from Rockhampton and had a very good look and could not find it. Started my trip North. I thought this can not be that hard. Round Two. Arrived back at a spot and I thought if it is not there and there it could only be there. Would not reveal itself. Eventually I had the very mushed up nano/tiny micro log in my hand. Very difficult to remove from its hide has been affected by the weather. nearly had to resort to brute force but was not necessary. very clever and tricky hide. Favourite point from me. TFTC Nedandmrskelly

We came to find your cache, Nedandmrskelly, on our way caching towards this year's QOGM in Barcaldine.

Shame I was not able to find this one. My Mother who we said good by to a week ago, was brought up in this area and some of the family are still living in Milman.

02-Aug-16
Quick find but great camo for a cache found log and is all good thanks for the cache

02-Aug-16
Aha! Finally, I have my name signed in this dinky little log. Tho I must confess it may not have happened without a wale of a hint from termingi. I've never seen one if these in the wild before, I have seen a commercial version for sale since we were here last. The camo on this is top of the line. Love your work Nedandmrskelly. Fave from me.

20-Jul-16
The drama started here as we pulled off the highway to head to this one. Think the car behind us thought we were indicating for him to go past and he pulled out to overtake!!! We came so close to crashing it wasn't funny. Guess the driver wouldn't have been expecting a campervan to be turning off on to this country road.
Arrived at GZ a little shaken but accurate coordinates led to a quick find and our near miss was quickly forgotten.. Mind you I had dismissed this, even touching it at one point, but Mr Beetle had a closer look and soon accessed it. Thought there was no log sheet in the little bit of plastic but it was there, just well camouflaged.
Thanks, a favourite point from us. Did wonder if the elaborate set up here means it is the CO owners home?

18-Jun-16
No luck for us again today. Think I'll just watch this space till someone smarter comes along and proves it's still here Wink

Quickly find. Very nice!

25-Apr-16
Very good Smile We have seen a couple like this before but it didn't make finding this any quicker. We weren't expecting one like this out here. We should just trust the GPS - coords were spot on.
Thanks for the fun we had with this one Nedandmrskelly.
