First of all, I just want to apologise in the massive delay in logging.

So, I found myself in the area today and was deciding on whether to go to the markets in the city with a friend or go caching. My friend ended up being too slow in deciding their movements so I ventured in this direction and by the time they told me they wanted to go to the markets I was close to these caches and I decided that this little collection of caches looked like they would be fun to do. So I ditched the markets and spent the afternoon following the 'short stroll'. Well, I'm not too sure on the short part of this. From the start, I thought it would be a little fun to follow the stroll according to the numerical order of the caches, the titles made it sound like a little bit of an adventure.
Number 1: found nice and quickly, signed and replaced before darting off towards number 2.

Did you know this?:
"If you think sitting indoors all day is bit hard, then perhaps its time for you to leave the building.
New research shows that just half an hour's walk three times a week makes you more enthusiastic, improves your ability to relax and considerably reduces stress."

So today I was enthusiastic about finding a geocache, and I also wanted to be relaxed and probably less stressed. Well you know what I did, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.

So I planned on doing this series of caches this afternoon by myself, but as it happened Mrs RoddyC was able to join me anyhow. And this cache was a great start to the series. I wonder if we are going to like this section of Minnippi Parklands. Well there certainly are NO mosquitoes around today - too freakin' cold for them!

Found at 1.35pm on 16th July 2015. TFTC.

I went out for a 23km walk today. There were eight caches at my halfway point. Woo hoo.
I love these containers. I had a look, missed it. Wandered about. Came back and it was right there. Tftc

Was not really sure what was on the books for today, and then found an event on Facebook I decided to attend, with a little time to fill in I decided to take a Short Stroll.

This was the first stop and I had been thinking about passing this one and getting it on the way out, as there was people a couple of houses down the street. Turns out this was well out of sight and grabbed it for the first find today.

Out visiting friends, on the south side of Brisbane, so picked up a few caches in the area.

A great little series, and an enjoyable walk for this time in the morning.
Signed some of the logs as TD where ever possible, as the logs were difficult to write on.
Many thanks for placing this cache, dawesy321, for us and others to find.

18-May-15
Found with mnance, remsjw, misssusan and jemillalucy today. After checking the more obvious spots, bein mugged by a staffy who came to say hello and wandering the bushes for a while, we rechecked the logs and a clue helped lead us to the cache. Tftc

Tough mother Monday. Out fot a wet stroll. Almost muggled by a dog. Coords set us off track but after reading logs recheck a few spots and result Wink tftc.

This was not a good start to the day. Look around for ages, skimmed old logs. Left without the find and went onto number 2.

Came back after finding all the others and had a better read of some recent logs.

Grrrrrr! I was right here!

Hang on !!
The Stroll Ended here [:o)]
As is the norm with me, I seem to find all cache series in the wrong order Smile
It usually makes no difference Big Grin

So here at the end of my stroll, where the stroll begins, I soon found this little shiny bauble Big Grin

TFTC .... Thanks for the stroll ... it is a delightful area to wander around Smile

Rick and I thought it would be a nice little walk through a suburban park. I read the description and was pre-slathered in aereoguard. So skip to being in the middle of the trees looking for the cache when the mozzies are eating my butt through my pants!!!! And they were big... huge.... Like "Land of the Lost" huge.
The cache was found, the log was signed and I was outa there!
Sorry all other caches that were not found today Sad

28-Mar-15
Cute!

26-Mar-15
Middle of the day so area quiet for a Stroll to 1,2,3,4,6,5 to locate the caches. Recent rain has the grassy tracks at the bottom wet but no mozzies.
The first caches lulled Geowife and self into overconfidence. Last 2 were a reality check. The GPS co-ords are very good!
Quickly found this one, completed formalities and replaced... all good so far...TFTC

24-Mar-15
A 10 pm hunt to score a tick in my caching calendar. This collection of caches over here seems to have few easier ones that are good for night-time hunts so I'll be picking them up one at a time. The harder ones will need to be saved for daytime, otherwise I'd spend all night at the GZ. Razz

The smartiephone pointed to a scrub and thiking positive, I dove in to see what can be found there. It was above T1.5 but the beauty may be in the eye of the beholder so in we go.
Nothing there, nothing much nearby, nothing much even in the surroundings. Twisted I was confident the coords ought to be right as the CO sure has been helped by couple of local cachers in the art of hiding.

The mozzies were becoming feral. I can deal with a few of them but now they were at the GZ in hundreds and thousands. Had to retreat back to the car to read older logs and put on some repellant.
The logs didn't tell much but a photo gave a clue of what to look for. Though, no hint on where... Red Face

Another round, confirming the coords with a proper GPSr, started in the same scrub again, went through the surroundings, but nothing yet. I was ready to give up, decided to have the final check of coords from another angle and while doung that, noticed something that might well cover a container... Big Grin
If you want to tinker, a couple of nudges in the digits might bring the coords even closer to the hide.

Logplastic signed and rolled neatly back in, and time to go and catch some sleep before another morning at work.
All good here! TFTC, dawesy321.

Park in nearby street - where the heck do I get through those bushes ... nevermind. Short stroll later and hit GZ. Hmmm, which one ... GPS says in the middle of the scrub .... think I'll take the easy approach and "Bark, Bark" - found it. Love these containers. Signed log and returned cache. TFTC - on to number 2 - hope I have time .... Cool

So I then went to find this one, having walked straight past it earlier on.
The hint was handy, as my head was still in the clouds with thoughts of other caches. TFTC once again. I'll be back for more in due course.

I parked at the designated spot. It was about 6am on a Sunday morning so I had the place to myself.

I like it when a caching walk starts off with a cache in the obvious spot and GPSr agrees.

05-Feb-15
Tftc. Chose this because my partner and I felt like a short stroll. Narrowed down the location of the first cache. Surprised to not find it tethered but recovered and returned. A good start to what would be a most enjoyable stroll. Thanks for bringing us here Smile

16-Jan-15
A hot slog up a steep hill this morning to log some puzzles and a short stroll was just the ticket with the promise of a shady walk.

This was the first on the circuit and an easy find, as it was on the coords and in the obvious spot. Good start to my stroll.

My first ever geocache find is in these wetlands! They are a glider habitat and you may also stumble across the occasional diamond Python as you wander through here. A beautiful remnant of nature nestled amongst the urban chaos.

TFTC Dawesy321!

After finding the other 3 caches in the series Dennis from Linden/6 and I headed back towards the cars and stopped off for a quick find at this one on the way. I hadn't looked at the hint and was looking for a similar hide as the others until Dennis set me right on the elevation and then I soon had the cache located.

TFTC.

I had to attend a function at Colmslie at lunch time. I did a bit of shopping after that, but still had some time on my hands before I had to go to work.

I did not think I had any caches left around here, so I was happy to see these two new ones.

I have been in this little bit of parkland a few times hunting for caches. Wink

This one was a nice quick find thanks. Smile

08-Jan-15
A quick find in between showers. Thanks for the cache Smile

08-Jan-15
We needed a couple of finds today to keep our streak going & to make 1234 finds in total! Decided, as we needed 2 & this one & it's mate were close by, that this would be the first of the needed two.

Jumped into the Geo-beast & a couple of minutes later we were on foot & approaching GZ.
A nice quick find & the weather was holding so the tally climbed to 1233. Woohoo, One more to go!
Signed log & replaced as found.
