Day forty one of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Traveling between Rotorua and the lodge in the middle of the Timber Trail. We start our ride tomorrow. We did a few caches on the way here.It was very quiet here today, but it made for a quick find. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 41 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we leave Rotarua and head North. We had enough time to enjoy a few caches as we travelled, including this special spot. Cache is really wet though. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday.
On a day trip with ABCDF4 and eyespyben with intention to see how much of a herd of bison we could gather. In the end we spent about 6hrs and had ticked off over 70. All logs were signed KEA (Kaygeedee Eyespyben Abcdf4)We were in the area and as the others had already signed this one it was onlt on this log.Thank you for the placement
Good to see such an old cache still in action. Log was a bit wet so dropped in a replacement. TFTC.
Heading south from Rotorua to Taupo with rattll. I needed a trad today for a dot-day challenge, so, having got a puzzle just up the road, we pulled in to get this one. Nobody using the facility, and all quiet at GZ. No problems finding, but log wet. Managed to sign, though (sort of), and returned as found. Tftc!
In the area with Reschedule so decided to stop and grab this. Cache was soaked. Definitely could do with some TLC
Found with Kiwi Does Stuff while in the area, cache container was soaked! Have dried out as best I could. TFTC!
On our way through to Rotorua. Stopped to pick up this cache. A bit wet and only just signable. TFTC.
After spending a couple of days in Rotorua we headed to Eltham and picked up a few drive bys. No problems here. TFTC
1st find of the day. Couldn't hear any motorcross bikes.A nice quick, easy find, grab, sign and flee. TFTC
Took longer than it should have and could hear the bikes over the hill. Thanks for the cache
Probably our only one today, an easy find. The earth was shaking when the heavy log trucks passend by...
Oops! I was culling caches in my pocket computer and found a bunch of caches marked as found but with no found logs. So now, 2/3 through January, I am doing a catchup.
I took the long way home to Rotorua, via Mangakino, to pick of one of just six caches in the country needed for a challenge. Took two days to get here from Lower Hutt. Not far to go now!
Merry Christmas!

Found this one a little while back on the way back south from Rotorua, via Atiamuri for cheap fuel. I remember it being too wet to sign, but scratched my name in at the time. TFTC!
A moto cross trip across the north island by car on a quest to visit the mega first cache of the day TFTC
First cache of the day from New Plymouth enroute to AKL MEGA via GC45 Tribute plaque.
Only stopped as we’d been driving for a couple of hours and this was near the road we turned down.TFTC

Managed to find the right pull over thanks to having Mum in the car who could guide me exactly. Got out found and signed log and was getting back into the car when a vehicle came down the track. You did say it gets used on a Sunday!. Luckily it was but a minute and a friendly hand wave before I was out of their way. TFTC - I have travelled this road many times so had this on the list for today as I travelled over to GC45. Prior log is wet and worse for wear - new paper recently added is fine.
Kia ora
The munchkins and I found this one today out on adventures. The logbook was too wet to open.

The last cache for today - found in the dark.
Our trip starts again after being curtailed on day 2 when we went into lockdown (that was an 800+ km day to get back to our respective homes). The trip with LNM1961 (logs signed either with our own names or ‘LE’) continues. We are travelling around the Rua area of the PWGT to collect all of these caches, plus some in the Tahi area. However, we aren’t just focussing on them. We are targeting others - oldies, ones that help us qualify for challenges, ones out of the way (especially on the Desert Road), as well as having fun, exploring NZ and seeing the countryside. TFTC

Wet damp and smelly, hard to sign on damp paper but managed to scrawl our names. Caching with Ethness. Now really dark and Rotorua is calling us for dinner.
We’re on a roll! This is our second one ever and found within 15 minutes of the first one. Thanks for the geocache!
Great park and grab. Log rather wet and needs replacing. Enjoyed the country roads drive while keeping out of the 5 pm traffic in town.
A new road for me I think, so might as well get the cache. It could do with a bit of a bit of TLC. TFTC.
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #894.
We had a very nice holiday in New Zealand. Almost every day beautiful weather. We traveled with the camper home from the north to the south island. we have found a lot of very nice caches. Thanks for showing the nice places where we found the caches.

A nice quick drive by on my way home the back road ways from a FTF in Kinloch, took the back roads as a big event was finishing up in Taupo so was hoping to avoid the traffic, it worked, no one on these roads.

Had a mini holiday in Rotovegas this weekend. Such fun. Quick find on our way home. TFTC
Of course we had to do this on a Sunday. A few people going into track. Log damp. Tftc.
Cache was posted as indicated. Be careful if you have to cross the road like I did. Tftc
Locatd while on a weekend caching mission with a bunch of intrepid winter Kayakers heading for the “The squeeze” (GC7GCKD) along the waikato river.
Participents in this daft idea included HKCB, Kiwis69, 11hpg11, iammrwalker, Alpenmilch80, Evilno9, and Greenblat. While Yes we knew the cache had been damaged by careful use of all physical and online resources we were able to come up wit a set of workable coordinates that satisfied us to lead us all on afrosty morning to the cache.
As we continued on south the weather was lookig good for the main attraction of the day
Trips like this just take a little organisation and I was greatful that everyone had a fantastic day out.
Two carloads, two trailers and 7 kayaks made the journey around the countryside
thanks to the CO for maintaing this cache

Great hide. Trekking through the wop wops today. Verry foggy but quick find with no muggles. Log dry
There was a logging truck right behind us when we arrived so had to stop down the road, u turn and come back. Nicely hidden here. Thanks for the placement.
Never travelled this road before...saw there were a few caches along the way ....found this one all good thanks spiritxy for the placement
On way home from work stuck behind logging truck decided to pick this one up to let him get ahead. Nice little hiding place.
Doing a bit of a loop trip today and this one was first on our list. Great hint helped make this a quick and easy find.
Quick find this afternoon while heading home. While sitting there filling in the log another vehicle turned in and drove up the access road. Friendly waves all round. TFTC
31/05/17 19:00 Quick Stop by the open gate. Thanks for this, Cheers, GC.
NB: Log has 01/06/17 on it - I was confused, apparently.

On a trip from Opotiki to New Plymouth and getting a few park & grabs on the way. Thanks for putting one here.
Day #15 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Today’s pleasant trip with mixed weather-conditions took me further up north from Tongariro National Park [:X] to Rotorua .
Had to say goodbye to ‘HIM’: Mount Ruapehu [8)]. Today he showed up again - with grey skies, but visible!
But I was also looking forward to visit the thermal highlight city [^] .
Of course there were some cool treasures hidden along the route, that I loved to pick up .
Ended up with 18 finds , including two great earth-caches [^], a cool, challenging virtual and several handsome traditional caches at the side of the road . Cool!
A nice little box at the side of the road! [^]
Couldn't see any motorcycles - but heard the noise - wow! [:o)]
Hey - owners on the way up north and in Rotorua - you have cool caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Cheers from Germany

#8785. Parked off State Highway 30 in Horohoro to have a look at Rotorua Motorcycle Club’s Horohoro Moto-Cross Park. As today was Thursday, GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside.

This one was pretty easy. When I was looking for it the schoolbus stopped. They boy who got of the bus looked as if he thought I was crazy just standing there :p. It was my first cache on my own! Tftc
Quick grab here before heading back to taranaki. Oh look the suns coming out as I leave rotorua and it rained the whole time I was here. Tftc
Had some business in Rotorua this afternoon and once that was finished decided I'd grab a few caches in and around town, with a bit of a focus on a few particular caches a bit further out from central, before heading back to Hamilton via Tokoroa. Managed to find all bar one that I attempted, getting home about 10pm and finding about a dozen caches.
Nearly drove right past this but the GPS alerted it was 100m away so tested the brakes on the car, which worked well so I didn't have to U-Turn. Quick find here tonight, thanks for the hide.
Find #11 for the evening.

On a school trip with our local daycare to a farm. Could not help myself to do a quick park and find. This cache had a couple resident snails trialling. Tftf
#2474. We have been staying with family in Rotorua for the past few days. Now its time to head back home and taking a few byways around the back of Lake Taupo to pick up a few of the caches that are widely spread out in this area. The family have allowed me just ten cache finds today. So with tight rations I have had to target caches that assist with some challenges I am working on. This one was a nice quick find as headed off from Rotorua after lunch. The cache was dry. Signed log and returned the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
Last time we were in New Zealand and spend our holiday on the Northern Island – that was fantastic!
We landed in Wellington and from this great town we went through the island – we were near Mt. Taranaki, in the Tongariro Nationalpark, on Lake Taupo, in two Thermal Areas, in Rotorua, on Coromandel Peninsula, on the Bay of Islands, on the Ninety Mile Beach, in the Sand Dunes, on Cape Reinga and in Auckland.
All the time we visited there the main attractions – but we wanted to do our hobby (geocaching), too.
So we looked for the boxes next to the highways and on all the wonderful places of this very nice Island.
Here we could found the box very well, we say thanks to the owner and thanks for the cache.

Quick park and grab while passing through, no doubt there will soon be a few more on this road soon TFTC.
Very straightforward find, with lovely helpful clue. If you're crossing the road, take care! TFTC
