EXCELent Spot I Often Reccomend. Specially for a cache. Sadly the cache was broken and only the lid was found.
I'll have to get up and check this some time. Bit on the nose people logging it having only found the lid though.
On holidays from Tasmania and camped in nearby camping ground.
Luckily it was low tide when we got here.
A nice easy find. Thanks Josh and Bex.

Found this cache in a trip to Northland with family during the school holidays. Was a great 2 weeks enjoying the locations & the geocaches of Northland. Greetings from Nelson. stayed in the doc campsite on the nice bit of beach. the gps may be out but there was only one lace it could be. I'm not sure whether it is meant to but the tin does not have a lid although the rest of the cache is perfect. find #86
Found it during our road trip to New Zealand. Thank you for showing us this great place.
Didn't really need to wait for the tide to go out. Good place for an easy hide.

TFTC last day here! Was a bit of a search but had lots of fun! Still no lid unfortunately! But re hid hopefully so no water will get in! found with Jazsa and Anz!
An der traumschönen Matai Bay erlebten wir 2 herrliche Tage mit viel Schwimmen und Wellenreiten. Natürlich fanden wir auch die Büx in der Bucht.
Camping at this amazing campsite.
Wow
Decided to look for some caches while we were there. Found this one in about 5min. Really cool place, though the mint container is rusted and the lids falling off. There were no objects inside the cache other than log. So we put a skull and bones silly band to start of another exchange.

Visiting from Tauranga and loving the caching here. Luckily we turned up at low tide, so no one had to get their feet wet. Great beach. Lots of families around. Cache good. TFTC
Managed to have the right timing here today but we were going swimming anyway. The stench nearby from the seagulls made the search done quickly, log signed and returned, Tftc
#10924. Tide was a bit higher than we would have liked, but with good timing and a spring in your step you could keep your shoes dry. Didn't take too long to track this one down. Great place for a cache. TFTC.
After a wild night, the rain finally stopped this morning and the sky was looking brighter, so we headed out to the Karikari Peninsula, hoping to do some exploring before the rain started in earnest again. We were lucky that the rain held off until mid afternoon and we were able to do most of what we had planned.
It was busy in the bay, despite the threatened rain. We parked a bit further away than we needed to and walked to the rocks. The tide was coming in, but you could keep your feet dry if you jumped at the right moment. There were seagulls on the rock who seemed a bit put out that their place was being invaded. Took a few minutes to find the cache, then another timed jump to get back to dry land. TFTC.

Beautiful day at the bay, even swam with a dolphin who visited for a little while cache was surprisingly dry but the lid has come off the tin, found it nearby and put it back on but don't know how long it will last. Thanks for the cache!

Returning from Fig tree bay, low tide helped getting this cache without getting wet feet.

Walked past here at three quarter tide. A beautiful sunny morning so even a few brave muggles were swimming. Brrr! Came back at low tide in afternoon. Cache in surprisingly good condition. Must have to endure some wicked storms! TFTC
Beautiful camping spot.
Walked past this at three quarter tide. The sun was shining and some muggles were even swimming! Brrrr! Came back at low tide in afternoon. Cache surprisingly safe and dry. Must certainly have to endure some stormy weather. Tftc

It was mid tide so we had to send the youngest family member out to search. Thanks.
On a 5-day tiki tour of Northland with sveppi. Matai Bay is beautiful. Easy find but wondering how long the tin will last in the salt air!
Up in Northland for a little winter break with fanfan-77. Exploring the bay we found this one easy at I guess lowish tide (feet dry). TFTC
Enjoying a wonderful sunday drive with Hokiangler. had stopped at Coopers beach for an ice cream earlier, so headed these ways as a few caches to be found. Tide was out so not even wet feet. lovely place to visit thx.
2.15pm. Mid winter. Virtually not another person on the beach. So quiet and peaceful compared with mid summer. Found easily. Had worked out what we think was intended by the hint. Cache in good shape. Sat in warm "winter less north" sun to write up log. Left signature path tag.

Out for a walk and just our luck it happened to be low-tide... knew there were a few caches around so fired up the app when lo & behold this one was only 15 meters away. Awesome spot. Love all the tidepools. Thanks for the cache!
We started our kayaking journey for a couple of weeks from here. Straight across Doubtless Bay in squally seas to Cape Berghan. T4TC - M@
Staying at the DOC camp nearby enjoying the lovely walks and beaches. A wonderful spot. checked the location out when hiking up to another cache but had to come back at the right tide. soon in hand and log signed. Great little GZ...TFTC
Shame we missed out 1st to find log. But 2nd isn't to bad. Found quickly even with muggles as many people are looking for stuff in the rocks. We walked out even at mid tide, water only up to knees. TFTC
