Parked at the start of the track and walked the Camels Hump to the top. Interesting memorial about half away up. Took a seat to catch my breath and then headed on up to find the cache. Cache was literally lying in open. Container is now rusting. Signed log. Replaced in packet (could do with a replacement as well) as hid where I believe it was meant to do. One spot was very slippery on way back down but managed to keep on both legs using a third leg. Great views from up here too. Thanks for the cache.
Love a high point. Never been on this track before and very surprised by the view from the top.Lovely little cache before dinner.Getting close to the Goal of 300TFTC
Windy enough to actually blow us off the rocks today! Nice spot with an unfamiliar aspect of Belmont Hill for us. Minicacher #2 added to his proud collection of un-aided finds. Container starting to look a little worse for wear but log safe inside.
This was a great find this morning in a lovely spot.
The cache was in full view at GZ so it was also a quick find. After signing the log I concealed it better with the hint object.
Thanks very much for the cache.

Found myself out and about this evening, and ended up visiting this part of Lower Hutt. Decided to check out the view even though it was very blustery, and of course there was always the attraction of a cache to be found
No problems locating this one. Quickly signed the log and grabbed the TB I found, before replacing exactly as found and taking a few photos of the view even though the weather meant the pics won't do justice to the location.
Thanks for bringing me here.

What a great spot for a geocache, awesome views from the camel's hump, found on a beautiful sunny day. TFTC
Wow! Sure was a strong wind here today! Nearly blew this lil’bod right off the top. Found a skink sheltering with cache but took off straight away- not a very good guard. Thanks for bringing me up here
What a glorious view while signing the log. The camel was on steroids or I am very unfit! Glad I found it as a rewards for hauling my old bones up the hill.

Another short but enjoyable walk to this cache, love the cache container, the view isn't half bad either
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Cache has been restored. Will keep an eye on it and if it gets muggled again we may need to think of a new hide
Came past today and found the cache exposed. The bag and container were full of water. I emptied it out but the log was soaked so I suspect it won't open again. A waterproof container or waterproof paper is needed rather than an outer bag.
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Another quick find on what is turning into a wet and wild night. Log book is quite damp. TFTC
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie.

I drove up here this evening to do maintenance on a nearby cache that I recently adopted. While I was in the area I thought a quick detour to this spot would be good. I was right!
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

This was a nice little climb up to a local high point. Not the greatest day for a view. It looked like there might have been lots of potential hiding spots but I spotted the cache while still contemplating where to start. Thanks for bringing me here.
A quick walk up on a blustery day to find this one. Good views from GZ and on the way up.

This is the second time we have attempted this one, the first time was last year and we only got half way up due to the huge number of cicadas. This time, fortunately, there are hardly any. A nice walk on a nice summer's day, with a great view from the top. Cache was spotted from afar, so no problems finding. I loved the Duracell on the logbook TNLNSL. TFTC!!!

This is a great spot. TFTC. The cache was a little exposed when I got there, so I re-hid carefully.
What a great spot. 360 degree views on a warm sunny day. Definitely worth the short walk up the easy path. Well worth a fave point for the great location.

A nice walk up to the top of the Camel Hump and a quick find at the summit. Fantastic views and a cool place to visit, TFTC
A quick easy find during a break in the working day. It's interesting to see that Donald Trump has signed the logbook. I didn't know he had been in the country!

Went to replace the cache and found the old one had been returned (although not hidden)! Perhaps it was the work of aliens? Cache has now been restored, and trackable added.
Back up to this picturesque spot with cameras this time. Suspect that we will come up many times yet! TFTC
Pretty sure we found the hiding spot but nothing inside it...may want to check to see if it is still where left or if it has been muggled. Great views and walk to the top, will definitely be back again TFTC
Sorry folks, it looks like it's been muggled. Will get it up and running soon.
Great spot for a cache. A tucked away track with the reward of a fantastic view and tailor made hiding spot. Very enjoyable. TFTC
Cool little walk with nice views! Found the cache quickly but it was covered in web and protected by a gigantic spider! Luckily LCBuilder was there to get the log book out for me TFTC
#1387. Out in the western Hutt hills tonight doing some night caching. This looked like it should be possible to find in the dark. Located the entrance easily enough and walked up the well formed path. Once at the top I realised I should have done it by day as I expect the views will be pretty good from up here. Started searching for the cache and checked a lot of tricky places first before seeing it a bit exposed in a more obvious spot. Signed the logbook which was dry and put the cache back with a bit more secure cover on top. First visit to the Camels' Hump. Thanks for placing the cache up here.
No trouble with this one. Cold on top - no way to get out of the southerly when signing, so made it a quick visit. TFTC.
This is a cool little spot with a great view, but with the track a little slippery in places requiring care. I was in the area for a little bit of cache maintenance and being such a lovely day, as it was, I decided to grab a few finds as well.

After a caching visit to Belmont Trig earlier in the day this viewpoint provided another perspective on our modest accomplishment!
Pays to read the description! I tried to make a start from the Belmont Park car park further up the road then figured that traversing from there to the obvious hump landmark would prove something of a challenge. Then made our way around the corner - thanks to the helpful cache description, and made an easy start from the right start point! Ha!
A quick and easy find once at GZ. Cache in order, signed the log then safely re-hidden, just as found.
Took some time to enjoy the views then hurried back to the cachemobile as the rain showers closed in.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Staying in Wellington with our cousins and took them to find their first geocache. Great fun climbing the camels hump on a very windy day. Stunning views. TFTC
Thanks for the feedback, container and logbook replaced, and log is now in a plastic bag. Enjoy the view!
A quick find with TregearP on a winter Saturday.
Cache was wet inside and water based paint is coming away - sorry, tried to dry the water but paint peeled off. Also a plastic bag for the log book would be useful. TNLNSL.

Add me to the list of cachers who are surprised there has never been a cache to find here previously. With a not at all difficult hike and fantastic views , this location seems tailor made. TFTC, ChurchEadeFamily.
Mrs SoBad was staying 600m away with her sister - who has lived in the area for 25 years. However, this spot was new to them both as her sister had assumed the entrance area was all private. So it was a short after breakfast walk to see the way in and admire the views. Lovely in the sun. A favourite for showing my sister a new viewpoint when she thought she had visited them all.
I had been waiting for an opportunity to do this one with time available and good weather and things finally came together today.
I had eyed the hump from below while doing other caches in the area before this one came out, I thought surely there must be a puzzle final up or something up here seeing there were no obvious ones and it looked so inviting for a cache. But until this cache was published I was not aware of the access route.
Very little wind today at GZ though one page of the log still tried to escape. It would be a good idea if one of the next finders or the CO came up with a mini stapler to fasten things together, everything all good otherwise. Lovely view up here, would loved to linger but I had another commitment I needed to proceed onto.
Someone commented in an earlier log about the risk of muggles finding the cache but as long as the cache is hidden in the correct way I don't think anyone will spot it as it takes a bit of a "cacher's eye" though easily found if you know what to look for!
Great first cache and gets a favorite point.

Cache # 2,504 - A lovely sunrise this morning after a short but brisk walk up the hill. Cache an instant find, and all is well with it. Thanks for bringing me to this nice place. TNLNSL.
Good place for a walk after lunch. I was surprised how large this cache is since everyone walking up the track must walk to this rock. Cache is in good condition although the log is going to be individual pages soon. TFTC.
Another part of the Hutt we didn't know was here! Great views of the harbour and the boats out today. Tftc
A quick walk up the hump and the cache was soon in hand. Great views from the GZ. TFTC
Whilst in the area (well sort of) I decided I needed to pick up this one as well. It was certainly breezy up here today - a page of the log book blew away before I could replace it (Fortunately not the one with everyone's logs on it)! A neat little area, with great views over the Hutt one way, and towards Belmont Regional park the other. Have a FP, as I had considered placing a cache here a few months back, but never got around to it! TFTC.
Chose this for today's day-filler, and made sure I left early enough to miss the worst of SH2 traffic. Interesting geographical feature I hadn't noticed previously when wandering around up here. Nice brisk wander after parking car at the bottom - cache quickly found. Thanks fro bringing me up this way again.

Diverted to here this afternoon on the way back to Wellington from Upper Hutt. A very enjoyable cache, beautiful fine weather with only a light breeze at GZ and a quick find. As promised, fantastic views! It's such a good site for a cache that I can't understand why someone didn't put one here long ago. Signed log, thanks for the cache and for bringing me here.
#6187. A little drive after dinner and stopped on Otamarau Grove for a stroll up Camel’s Hump. Excellent views, although Belmont Trig was shrouded in cloud this evening. And, yes, it was so windy that we nearly got blown away from a certain spot as we rounded the corner. GZ was all quiet, and it was a quick find. Nice hide. The cache was in good condition.
- $1.00 Car Wash Special!
Left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.

We were about to set off on an evening run with the spouses when the notification came through. We jumped into a vehicle instead and hightailed it up to the parking spot. A rush up the trail challenged the lungs but we rewarded with the find. We signed the log and hadn't even replaced it when DrBogan appeared around the corner. A good thing we rushed.
Nice to beat CaligulaNZ for a change.

Second to find at 6:45 pm! just beaten by metal-art and Jax479 by all of five minutes! great chase and thanks for the cache
Third to find at 8.35. As my wife had the car when the notification came through I knew I didn't have a chance to be the first, so I'll settle for making this down as another FDF. A nice short bushy trail up to the top, but I wouldn't call it gentle. I loved the way vista exposed itself as I walked around the knob and a fantastic 360° view at the top.
