I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.
I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.
Best wishes, Lærry

This set of stairs has been damaged really badly by a recent storm. I am unsure where the cache was hidden but it's possible it has been washed away. We had a look. But lots of damage.
I found this cache together with my partner, Pityulino, during our holiday in New Zealand. Today we visited Stony Batter and on our way back to Rocky Bay we also found caches in the Onetangi beach area. We searched a bit for this one, bit had it in our hands soon. Greetings from Hungary!
No sign of mint tin.
Lots of sand could be covering it...Visited twice....even missed the bus as was so keen for a find. Big search area.

Caching with Loon Lady when we visiting the area via Celebrity Cruise ship Solstice.
Took the ferry to the island then Hop-on/off bus to tour some of the island. Walked the lovely beach, found the cache and had lunch (Charlie Farley's) in the area. What else could one ask for? SLTFC. (Sorry for entering so late- we checking our records and found that this one had not been entered.)

Had to go a second time to find this cache but found it straight away the second time
Cache container too small to place "Hermie" in (trackable we're helping get to Queenstown) but boys enjoyed searching to find small tin tucked in its dry den. Onetangi on stunning sunny day.
What a beautiful beach and a lovely dry cache. Enjoyed a after with the awesome view of the beach. Tftc
A quiet time of day to visit, first fleet across for the day, A pretty beach, not too hard to find. TFTC.
Searched area described for new cache on 12 March and around GZ but nothing found.
Out for a day trip around Waiheke with KrystalKath's rellies showing them 'the game'. Easy find while KK went for a swim. Lots of muggles about today, but we managed to surrepticiously retrieve the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC
Thanks for the replacement cache. It's still alive and waiting to welcome cachers to Spectacular Onetangi Beach.
My saddest DNF to date, as it will be ages before I can get back to Waiheke, and this was the very first time any passing stranger has recognised what I was doing! We didn't find a cache in the end but we did find a lovely local who had stumbled upon it a year ago and had a nice chat with her and her puppies. Not sure how well we convinced her to give real geocaching a go, but fingers crossed!
Temporary new cache placed on behalf of the cache owner. Cache is eclipse tin under the boardwalk. 5 m from GZ due to storm washout.
As usual, there were some people having lunch nearby, but that's just an excuse. I looked for a long while and couldn't find anything.
Went there twice to check in detail, but nothing there. I am courious what was found by the last one.
Looked everywhere this cache could be but alas, no luck. Convinced this is now no longer there.
In Auckland for a couple of nights to see our daughter-in-law off on the Spirit of New Zealand tall ship. Came over to the island to spend the day on a recce as it's possible some of the family may want to come here for a week later this year or next year. Got the Island Hopper to this great beach, walked along after lunch and was horrified to see the placement of a picnic table right next to GZ with it occupied as well!
Managed to have a good look round as mostly hidden from view but found nothing, not even some remains. Will leave instructions with the family for their return, if they come.

I will be unable to visit this geocache for a while. If anyone visiting this cache could bring a replacement container that would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Wandering around Waiheke grabbing caches as we go. Great cords took us right to the spot where after a little looking around the cache was found - between muggles walking the beach. SL and left as found. Thanks for the placement helicopter1919.
Was really busy further along tbe beach but luckily quite quiet at GZ. Checked a few spots before spotting the right spot. Bit exposed so covered it up. TFTC
First Waiheke island cache, found slightly exposed. Re sealed and tucked away. 27 August 2016 12:11 GH6710 T F T C helicopter1919

We really liked this beach. Glad we came out here. Made the find between muggles. From Pennsylvania USA.TFTC =)
Went to Waiheke Island with KirsTim to tackle some of the caches there. A little bit of rummaging here was required before we spotted the little hide. Thanks for the cache.
Over on Waiheke for the day with Vamber, and finally a relatively simple park and grab, well maybe. Parked the car and by the time we arrived the other two had found the cache, signed log as KKKT
Nice easy find on almost dark, but we did cheat and use the hint to make it quicker.
My first cache on Waiheke (after an aborted attempt at another cache yesterday.... once I decided death looked a little too imminent during the climb).
Got it! First cache in a while got to roll the arm over no pen but pic attached
This was my first geocache, thanks for the easy find. I'm now off to find my second one!
First geocache found ... Success on girls weekend to Waiheke!! Committed in the rain
With mandylee - her first geocache. After a great girls weekend and lunch at casita miro

Found whilst exploring the beautiful island. Easy find and it wasn't very busy. Actually found this the other day but only logged now. Tftc
First cache on our adventure to NZ! Found during the day with ciadirector and cheenie. Quick and easy find on a beautiful beach with a great view! TFTC!
First cache find in NZ!!! Went on the hunt with Lakeside and the bro. We scouted the location during the daylight hours, but we waited until evening to officially make the find since there were many civilians around the cache location during the daytime. A nice quick find on a beautiful beach with lovely vistas. TFTC
From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Rienga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro –Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
Onetangi beach, what a wonderful place.
Greetings form Germany.

We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 2 - we took the ferry to Waiheke Island and filled the day with hiking, beach activities and a wine tasting.
A beautiful island - worth a visit!
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

Out at Onetangi to see the horses, tractors, Segways and waiters racing on the beach. Got this before the crowds set in.TFTC
Muggles abound but Miss almost-2 found it easily. Have added a bit more camo to keep it from muggle eyes. Log book running low on space. Thanks!
