Logs
Solved the puzzle years ago, found myself near GZ and decided to come and search for the final.Happy I did, although a few prickly ones checked, but there could only be oneThanks for the puzzle and hideSadly the log was mush, so left a small replacement
I needed to find a mystery cache to fill a dot day on my grid, and as matagouri had already found this one, we figured it would be a quick grab before heading back to Hamilton. It was nice and quiet at GZ when we visited. Thanks for putting this here
In the area for work, took the opportunity to grab a solved puzzle on a mystery dot day. A bit of a hunt through the vegetation, but found quickly once in the right place. All good, signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
**21,075**Glad to finally be in the area to collect this long solved puzzle. A nice quick find here and then on to the next one before we must start to head for home. TFTC
After a big day in the city we stopped nearby for dinner before we head back to our accommodation for the night. Mr Muggle got eaten alive by mozzies at GZ and had huge swollen bites on him before we even left the carpark. Poor fulla. Luckily I saw the cache not far away from where I went in and got out before they attacked me..they never seem to though. This was a fun puzzle, I enjoyed working it out and got the green tick first go which was good! TFTP
Had a ton of fun solving this with trayc.g..in fact I had just that week done some similar examples in class so I knew what I was doing! TFTC
I am reliably informed that I did indeed find this cache with Gorby - sorry for the late log. I can't really remember much as those few months are a bit of a blur, but the puzzle is certainly a fun one! TFTC!!!
¯_( ͠• ͜ʖ ͡•)_/¯ I ended up coming out this way quite by accident this morning. I was asked by FMZ to drop the moving truck back to Onehunga at 8am and then pick him up. The traffic was madness, so instead of heading home, Chris and I decided to come here in my van to kill some time and hopefully the traffic might improve a little as the day goes on. I discussed the puzzle with him along the way to get him up to speed.
¯_( ͠• ͜ʖ ͡•)_/¯ Got to our carpark and wandered to GZ, Initially got the wrong type of tree, then the correct type but the wrong one, moved across and FMZ spotted the hide, we signed in and off across the wettish grass back the vehicle.
¯_( ͠• ͜ʖ ͡•)_/¯ Thanks stik-a-crane for the very cool puzzle, a FP from me for the fun. That's my cache for the day as part of my streak and also my mystery cache for my dot day on a challenge I'm working on. Now we're off to try and get an ftf not too far away! (we did get it btw).

It's well after midnight and I'm stoked to have solved this! A couple of the clues I couldn't get but logic in the adding and the subtraction got me there too, I only had one red cross and that was because I put one of the numbers in wrong. Will claim this on one of my mystery cache dot days!
Solved this a while back so nice to get this ticked off today. Found the hint item and then the cache quickly after that. Log was soggy which was a theme of the day, but then it is winter.
Our group read & wrote lines for this Found after some elimination in the bush, thanks Stik-a-crane!
Wow this puzzle has been out for a while!
Not often down this way but was caching at Karaka....so not too far to come to this solved cache.
Very quick find thanks to your good hint and co ords!

FINALLY we get to attend the MEGA. Attending as part of Team BoP. We have a load of solved puzzles and whilst we are concentrating on those, won’t pass up on trads either.
All good a lil damp.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Auckland with our sights set on some Labs, puzzle solves and the NZ Mega 2020… I mean 2022
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

Up in Auckland for the mega with Philip.Perry and McJandals. Left home at 0300 over the hill to Tauranga to pick up the others in Auckland by 6am. Only plans today are to attend Mega sign log there then follow the map to get as many caches as possible. Signed logs TeamBOP.
Some more post-MEGA caching with @McArgister, who had solved this one a while back. We spent a while searching at calculated GZ before McA realised the coords had changed since he solved it, so a quick call to the CO later and we were at actual GZ. With a point in the right direction from the CO we spotted the cache - a little damp but all good. TFTP and TFTC Stik-a-crane!
I solved this so long ago that I don’t know what I did, but I remember enjoying it because I used to love playing the Dingbats board game! However leaving it so long meant that when Lumin298 and I were looking for the final, finally after all these years, we couldn’t find it. Thankfully Mr & Mrs Stik-a-crane came to our rescue and guided us to the new GZ where Lumin298 made the find. Much appreciated!!! Certainly worth a fav point! Thanks for the dingbatty cache!

After solving this the night before, I wondered over to the cache location after school pickup.
Had some difficulty looking for this one and yes, a lot of trash and beer bottles. At the end I called the CO for help.
She said Mr. CO hid the cache so couldn't really help but talking to me and poking around further, I soon found the cache.
Signed it, had a few mozzy bites and bought groceries for the week. TFTC!

Took geo dog for a walk past here tonight...the cache had moved to a different location from the hint, but is now in place.
Happy caching....

Solved this afternoon and went to collect but unfortunately did not come up with the good. Will contact the CO for a nudge

Did the puzzle sometime ago So it was nice to pick up the final today on our way home
Checked this final out today, and replaced the cache with the very original cache, so there will be a few names missing from the log.
All good to go.....

Solved this last night after seeing if there were any puzzle caches in the vague area we were going to be in today. Came across this one and saw that it was potentially solvable in not too long a time frame! Solved 80% of the puzzles straight off and it didn't take too much longer to sort the remainder. Then it turns out I am not at savvy at maths as I thought as a few coordinates were pretty much impossible. Took a while but realised I made an initial mistake in writing down the answers to the puzzles. After fixing that it turns out I made 2 more - finally a set of coordinates that looked right and gave me a green tick - phew, and here I thought the hard part would be decoding the puzzles! Dropped by today to make the find which we did in a much faster time than the solve!!! Thanks a lot for a puzzle that I did manage to solve and a nice hide. I used to live near here when I was little but when we drove by where I thought that was I didn't recognise anything - either I remember incorrectly or the flats are no longer there - there's definitely been enough time since then that a lot has changed. So also a trip down memory lane... for a first puzzle this was a good one Stik-a-crane. FP.
Turns out this puzzle was so much easier than the find. Last weekend the cache eluded jard1037 and myself, we were a bit embarassed to see it was found by the girl guides shortly after we left empty handed. Not to be out done and a nudge from a previous finder I set out with reinforcements, grandson and daughter. Well guess what? there it was just where we had spent a lot of time looking. Nice puzzle, FP from me.
This find proved too much for urbangypsynz and myself last weekend and as she said, it was embarrassing to read that it had been found by some Girl Guides soon after us leaving so it was heartening that the find was made pretty quickly today. Enjoyed the puzzle so an FP from me also.
We are out and about this afternoon learning about Geocaching for our badge . . . . . . the girls had worked hard had to solve this puzzle at their Guide meeting on Wednesday night . . . . . and then left the leaders to complete all the maths bits . . . . . . SethRaven had been working with our Guide unit and so she took the girls in her car to make the find . . . . . we parked up and when one side . . . . we saw a road sign in the bushes and a rugby ball in the water . . . . . . Eloise just wanted to play in the water . . . . . . and then the other . . . . . and then went back to the first place we had been . . . . . . SethRaven was looking and Ivy was looking at one other clump of the pricklies . . . . . and it was getting closer and closer to the time we needed to be back at the hall . . . . so SethRaven put in a call to the StikaCranes . . . . . we reassessed where we were parked . . . . . and off she went . . . . .still on the phone to the cache owner and we all piled out of the car behind her and down the small hill . . . back into the bushes and then started fossicking around in the pricklies (groan again) . . . . . . Miss Ruby then yelled the magic words FOUND IT . . . . . .then we discovered we had to go back to the car for a writing implement (groan) . . . . . log signed and returned . . . . . . 3 satisfied young ladies back in the car and off back to the Guide hall for dinner . . . . . PIZZA . . . . . thanks for the puzzle and the hide
I've had this puzzle solved for awhile so as we were in the area today we stopped by to pick the cache up. Prickly tree is an understatement, there were several and once we located the correct one it was a matter of getting in to sign the cache without getting too scratched.
Came here today with Merlot58 and as we got to GZ found a number of spots which matched the description. On about the 4th location we finally spotted the cache.
I love these word puzzles. I solved it ages ago and have been watching it ever since. I was pleased to see it had recently been reactivated. I re-worked the maths making several silly mistakes in my rush. I don't get to Auckland very often. This trip I wanted to focus on collecting solved puzzles. I took the hard way in so bush bashed my way to gz but then quickly found it. Thanks for a fun cache that provided a fun activity with my kids
Cache number 3547 and day 122 of my current streak. I had come to Auckland to get a couple of specific caches and was in the area so decided to grab it. I enjoyed the solve on this. It was interesting and not too complicated. The find itself was also nice and quick. On leaving I did some CITO which included some first aid items including 2 pill containers which I will use on a hide. Thank you for the placement
Looked at this one a long time ago but didn't get a chance to solve as it was disabled about the same time. Noticed that it had been reactivated a week or 2 ago and quickly set about working out the coordinates; Mrs B really enjoyed solving this one. Glad to get the find on this one after a couple of challenges along the way; FP added. TFTC.
Finally good to go....
Have found a new home for the final and changed the maths for this puzzle, plus Geo-checker has been updated.
Sorry this had to be done as the original final is out of action for another 2-3 years.

Sorry for the delay with this one... we have just found another GZ for this cache so hopefully we'll alter the maths, run this past the reviewer to get the all clear on a new placment space to get this one up and running again.
Thanks for watching this space....

Hello all... Just checked in on this cache, and construction is still in full swing...
This is a long build by the council who are upgrading storm water systems...
I have been unable to get a completion date as yet.
Than you for being patient.
Happy caching.

Construction fencing still up around this cache when I drove past this morning. Unable to access the cache until construction is completed. I will endeavor to find out when construction is due to finish.
Sorry folks... I had noticed a few days ago that the area around GZ had some activity of the building kind around it... Last night a drove past and noticed a fence had been erected now making the trail to GZ impassable.
We will keep you posted as to when it will be accessible.
Sorry to any cachers whom have this sitting on their solved puzzle list but yet to find....

Well, first of all let me say how much I enjoyed the puzzle.
Two of the clues took a bit longer than the others and there was a bit of cosmetic surgery on another couple.
At the beginning when I checked my calcs, I was mostly in the blue stuff on the map, so I knew i wasn't going to need the geochecker.
Then I applied a bit more brainpower, and with the help of Mr Excel I had a feasible set of numbers.
Geochecker agreed, so off I jolly went.
... oh no... only to find the GZ fenced off!!!!!!
All that effort..... but wait... maybe if I could just sneak behind the fence...... but how?
I was casing the joint, and thought I may have to send photos to the CO and abandon the search... but as fellow geocachers know, we dont give up too easily, especially when effort has gone in!
So I 'persuaded' a friendly workman to allow me access.... and he moved some fencing, and I found it!!!
Yeay

12.50pm - Had solved most of this before leaving home, then while driving the Squirrel finished the rest off. Slight detour in travels and soon had this one. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We are targeting caches with high difficulty ratings for our current license challenge... But any cache will do, it seems. We are looking to empty out some of our lists of solved puzzles today. This might be interesting.
We admit to having a couple of early scans of this puzzle. Although most of the clues were recognisable, there were one or two that needed more thought. As we visit Auckland and the general area frequently, we are under no time constraints to have this one solved. However, the brain fog must have lifted recently, because a solution came after taking another quick look... We had to survey ground zone carefully on arrival, as the cache looked like being on private property on the geomap. It turned out to be a straight forward search, and the cache was quickly spotted and signed off. TFTP and TFTC.

Solved this one a little while back and had sat on it to wait for no muggles around . . . . . . I LOVE THESE PUZZLES and have the game from years ago. Raining today and the final co-ord's are just round the corner from home . . . . took Master Seth's sister out to show her about caching. Quick easy find for us today. Thanks for the puzzle.
Loved this puzzle. Took a while to solve V but I was delighted when I did. This is what I love about geocaching- a very clever puzze and it got the whole crew involved. I won't be down to collect the actual cache for a while. Thanks for the fun
Love any type of puzzles but this type of one is great. Solved on publication but first time in the area today. TFTC
Got through this puzzle but kept getting a red cross. Not knowing which answers I had were right or wrong, checked with TW & PNZ today as we were out caching. Finally read between the right lines before making a quick find at GZ. TFTPC
Was in the area for some specific caches and still needed a ? for the road trip so having solved this a while ago this cache fit the bill nicely. I remember the day this puzzle was hatched at a puzzle solving event and solved it not too long afterwards.
Made the short walk from where we parked up for a quick find. Had a bit of trouble getting the cache out but its all good now.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Out with a group of cachers today completing the nearby Orona Island cache. Once we had got back to the cars , hosed off, and changed out of our muddy clothes, we decided to go on to do a few more caches.
I had solved this one a while ago, after an event, during which I talked to the CO, and she gave me a nudge about doing this puzzle!
Once I saw it, I was super keen, as I used to do these kinds of puzzles with my students when I was classroom teaching. I got on to solving it very quickly after that, and had great fun doing so! Had a bit of trouble with the final maths (a bit embarrassed at this- note profession!), but it wasn't too long before I got the green tick. Told the CO that I would pick this up next time I was in the area.
Well, that happened to be today, and as a couple of us had solved this, we decided to pick it up. Pulled up near GZ and followed the phone coords to the cache. It was a little stuck, but finally was coaxed out of its hiding spot.
Log was signed, and cache replaced- slightly repositioned (only a few cm to the left) so that it is easier for the next finder to get it out, without risking breaking the cache or lid.
TFTC to the COs for this cache! Giving it a fave, as I love word puzzles.
Well done on your first puzzle!!!

Out with a group doing this area was told about this one so stored it as I needed it for my roadtrip.
Found the cache easily enough for everyone to sign.
Screen shotted the coords we were at then solved the puzzle while at work sat night double checked my results bonus it was right. for working it out had some fun with my workmates doing this one. Tftc

We have enjoyed solving many of these little word teasers over the years, but still took a little while to get a couple of the exact answers needed for this puzzle. Probably seems a bit more than 1.5 difficulty.
Out and about picking up some solved puzzles today so called in here to sign the paperwork. Thanks.

Out in South Auckland today to gather some puzzle finds and requirements for our GIO licence challenge.
We recently met the CO at a puzzle event, and are well aware of the puzzle she was researching which struck the inspiration for this puzzle. We solved the puzzle on the day of publication, but were only the area today, so we decided to make the find. Had lots of fun figuring out what each little brain teaser meant, and everything soon fell into place, despite a few hurdles with the maths and calculations.
The coordinates had us jumping all over the show at first, but our GPS soon settled, and the cache was quickly in hand. +1 favourite point, because I had a lot of fun solving this puzzle, and any word related puzzle automatically has me intrigued. Thanks for the hide!

I think this puzzle is harder then it looks, or maybe I have the wrong way of saying things. I had to adjust three numbers to get them to come out to something reasonable. Who ever hear of coordinates with over 80 degrees? Once I crunched the numbers, I got agreement from Geochecker on the first try and off I went to GZ. It was only a few seconds before I had the myh$ands. (Yes, you have to say cache so that it rhymes with dash).
The container was quite full, so I took the path tag to make more room. TFTC.

Had a lot of fun with this puzzle & happened to be heading south so managed to coerce the detour. Needed a break from the sweltering geo-mobile so enjoyed a late lunch & the breeze in a lovely shaded spot, then went & made a quick grab of the cache. Had to employ ultra stealth!! Was tempted to grab Dora but left her + a couple other goodies. TFTPC! . PS wanted to text but have lost your # ...
This puzzle was a huge battle for this old fella who has found 970 caches and only 28 of those were puzzles. I am hopeless at puzzles. Managed to solve this one last Sunday and today on the way back from Middlemore we swung in to find the cache. Parked in the wrong spot and walked. Managed to get the cache out of its hidey place and signed the log. TFTC and the puzzle. TNLN.
Had not long got out of bed on a lazy Sunday morning when my phone starts buzzing and all these new notifications came rolling in. This new listing took my fancy as it was close to home so me and miss got to work solving it. Quickly figured out what needed to be done and a few minutes later we had the first part sorted. A few minor hiccups with the calculations as we were rushing to get the final coordinates so the first 5 red crosses were ours . Got the first green tick after realising our mistake and shot out the door to GZ. It seemed like i hit all the red lights on my way there and wasn't even sure we'd be first.
Arrived at GZ and quickly found the cache and a blank log revealed we were first . Signed log and headed back home for some breakfast and a well earned coffee, TFTPC!

Thank you so much for this Cache. I went with Maria Cruse. This was our first puzzle cache we've found, and our first night time expedition. Great fun [^]
Great puzzle, easy find. Found with crusing5. First puzzle find, first night find, first time to be in the top 3. Thank you!
