After trying twice in the same day, looking for 90 minutes the first time round, I was unable to find. Clearly I need to tune into my earwiggy senses. Always next time...
The First of July 2020 was the first time I tried to find this cache. I did not log my DNF, out of pride, "I'll get this next time, I'm here twice a week! ".
Not once, or twice, or thrice but many many more times, I have now searched! The earwigs in my own veggie patch provide no assistance.
Once a week, since July, I sit here at GZ, some weeks I search, others I contemplate, but I'm here too often to leave this log out now.
Swallowing my pride.
I'll get you one day, earwigs.

Found after an extensive search and some help from a previous post. Tftc. Cant find the Alligator one though.
I had been here before and didn't find it. Today I was passing by so walked across to GZ and thought like an earwig. That was the answer because it only took a few seconds to find the cache watched only by a purple swamphen. TFTC.
Found! Nice hide! Looked on the wrong side of GZ for a while but got there in the end!
Found after looking in the wrong area for a good 10 min. Lots of muggles on a nice day
Another Wednesday Wander for the Puzzled Puzzlers group. Today's plan was to go and try and rectify a few DNF's that we had been collecting lately, plus any others that we may be passing. Today's crew was myself, Doctor Owl, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats zooming around in the Owl-mobile. Although I got two off the DNF list and had a further DNF at another I also added another two. Good grief. [B)]
After searching the wrong side of GZ for a good five minutes we moved to the other side and found it quickly. Helps if you look in the right spot. No earwigs sighted in the obtaining of this cache. [:o)]
**Thanks LíB for this cache. **

Lovely park area - accompany with crorose for the day... signed the log and thanks 3LG for hide the cache and hunt.
Night run with Pony1966. After a lovely meal nearby, first grab in the dark. TFTC
I guess now I'm a little bit less grossed out by earwigs.
...but only a little.

Out for dinner nearby with the kids, thought we would look for a couple afterwards, this was the closest so we made our way over and thanks to reading the logs we made the find in the last place we looked! YAY, another smiley for us! TFTC 3LG!
Thanks 3LG for the hide. Thanks Michelle for the vital info. Nice here at sunrise on a Sunday
One of my factory staff lives in St Clair passed his car whilst walking to this one hope he didn’t see me!! Once I checked the other side of the structure to where the phone wanted me I soon had the CIH TFTC
We typed all the cords for this area into the old etrex for last night but didn't get them all, so not wanting to waste our time typing them again we decided on a day caching the area. TFTC
So this is a DNF log, sorry but I am so out of practice for tricky finds that the obvious just not stand out to me any more.
I know in the past that I can usually trust 3LG coordinates so I know i was in the right spot, just couldnt find it - cache blindness.
What made it worse is that my geo kid decided that he would 'accidently' kick his soccer ball into the nearby lake and we then spent the next hour trying to retrieve it. You would think that someone would have trained those ducks to retrieve a ball.
Anyway I will come past another day and give this another go.

I have been on a mission today to get that big milestone many cachers aim towards. I returned to an area i knew well as a child and was able to make a fairly quick find. Thanks for helping me reach my goal.
It was an interesting read about earwigs. I would say any knowledge is better with a cache. Anominous Sign spotted the cache straight away when we got there this morning. TFTC.
I always liked earwigs. Like mini scorpions, I found them very interesting as a child. I didn't see any at the cache today, but I did enjoy the find. Thanks!
Came back for a second look, and found quickly.
I've never liked earwigs much, good info.

Having noticed that we've found very few caches on the 2nd of the month we decided to try to even up our stats this year. This was the third of 5 finds this afternoon. We didn't see any earwigs but we did see lots of water birds including ducks, moorhens, a heron and a cormorant. It was also interesting to look around the St Clair development. TCTF
Couldn't fine this cache. Its been a while since it was last found. There will be a next time
I've never worried about earwigs !!
They look like something that you would put in somebody's ear,
which would then burrow into their brain,
wrap themselves around the cerebral cortex,
and force you to tell the truth to your alien interrogators !! [:o]
But they are not
Cache found right where I expected to find an earwig [^]
And under the gaze of a very old looking corella,
sitting on the railing enjoying the sunshine
Nice bit of camo [^]

Cache # 1480. Number 6 of 6 founds today. Last one before went home.
This afternoon I went to Woodville West for business, and found some caches in that area. Tried six caches, and found all. What a pleasure! Five of them belong to the same series cache by the same cache owner: 3LG.
Parked near the GZ, walked there. Found the cache in the first I checked. Nice camo. If I haven't seen this type before, I might miss it.
Signed the log, and hid it back.
Thanks for the "Animal Facts" series cache, 3LG.

Day Thirty Two of our holiday - the first day of April, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide.(But not for much longer!)
Today we just bummed around the Port collecting a few puzzles and some trads.
The morning was spent in the car, and the afternoon on the deadly treadlies.
We have a good idea where Earwigs hide, I think we have found them in most caches over here!
Not sure if that is a good clue though
Thanks, Robmc.

#12283. Day 32 of our SA holiday. March is over and here we are with April Fool's Day already and that means we are due to leave for home on Monday. Sad at the thought of it but looking forward to getting home.
With some rain this morning and grey skies we hopped in the geo-chariot and headed to the areas around Port Adelaide and Garden Island. This afternoon we got the bicycles out and headed out to gather up some more puzzles and traditionals. I seem to have finished the day with 25 smilies and 4 DNF's.
I thought we had already done an Earwig cache during our holidays but Rob assures me that we have not. A pleasant placed to search for an earwig cache amongst newly landscaped waterways and gardens. Always feel rather exposed though searching in new housing estates.
Thanks 3LG

Last time I was here I was laying the nearby footpaths and had to drive the truck through the water way since they hadn't flooded it yet. quick find and completes the caches in this area they aren't surrounded by muggles currently.
While waiting for my car to be fixed and friends to arrive for coffee, I thought geocaching was in order. I luckily had no muggles at this one, but I'm sure a person was watching from their lounge room. I went to one side - that was the wrong side. I sought out the other side and there it was! Later that night, I showed a friend this cache - her first one to find, ever! TFTC

Needed cache for the day and was in the area looking at another cache so decided to try this one again. Last time I was here, there were muggle builders swarming all over the place so I did not even try to hop out of the car. This morning however was a totally different story. Initially not an earwig nor muggle in sight. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ and just as I had spotted where the hide was a muggle with bread feeding the ducks wandered up so I had to go looking for other earwigs while I out-waited her. As I was wandering along the phone rang so while answering it I wandered back and used this as an excuse to plonk myself at GZ. Unfortunately I dropped my pen while making notes and on retrieving it I also found a cache. Extracted log, signed and went to replace it. Just as this happened a council truck pulled up within about 5M of where I was. Grrrrrrr. So dropped the pen again and used this excuse to replace the cache. Finished the phone call and wandered back to the car and then headed into the office to start the day. and surpirsingly not a single earwig sighted.

Had a couple of hours to kill so what better way than to find a few caches.
Found the cache and when I opened it there were 2 earwigs at home, how appropriate.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

Having just 'aggravated an American Alligator, [:o] I hurried onto the next 3LG hide... much more 'placid' creatures known as Earwigs This cool creature was located quickly where an Earwig would hide SL at 11:20. Plenty of sitting spots here near GZ. Sunday, 7 Aug 2016. TFTC 3LG
Made that harder than I needed. Had hubby on his hands and knees but I just walked up, and grabbed the cache. TFTC
Stopped by this one on the way to Port Adelaide to clean up a previous DNF. TFTC. 3/07/2016, 9:48 AM Find #2347
After some searching, we found it! Three earwigs greeted us.. thank you for the cache! - webbers
Out grabbing a cache and enjoying the lovely winters day.. almost got muggled out by a family feeding the ducks, but used the time to chill out and read some logs.. cache found easily as I found one like this that was my very first one in New Zealand! Left a twinkle. Signed the log. TFTC!!!
A few spots it could be its ok no one is around as its 3:50am took my time and then saw it as I have one just like it. Tftc
Nice hide, thank you! Pudgy found it quickly while fungus, giggles and I were with her.
My wife tells the story that her brothers used to tell her that earwigs enter through your ears and eat you brains. One of them is now a doctor and the other one is a priest. This is a lovely spot and good placement for this type of container. Thanks 3LG for another one.
New garden mulch made it impossible without digging everything up. Got to GZ plant the gardeners were everywhere and watching my activities. Can it be undug from the mulch as I do not want to destroy the area.
Perfect day to be out finding caches with CPWanderer & Clare007.
CP was looking for something different. Then I held up the cache and said is this what you are looking for?? Lovely parkland area. There was some birdlife in & around the water...swans, ducks & seagulls. TFTC 3LG

A lovely spot to stop & watch the swans, so we did.
And found a cache, eventually.
Thanks for the cache 3LG

Found this one at the start of my extended bike ride and cache hunt - 25.68 Km.
Nice park in the newly formed St Clare housing development.
Thanks for the cache 3LG and another in the animal series of caches.

With the police chopper hovering nearby this spot made me slightly nervous at night, but all was good. Interesting earwig facts - will have to tell my students these next week as we are studying insects at the moment. Thanks for the hunt this evening
I found this cache, caching solo after work.
It was good to get out and get some finds during a week of long hours and lots of overtime.
Thanks for your cache. I needed the break that it helped to provide.

Found on the way home in the fading light as my work related travels had me nearby this afternoon, well away from my usual working location. I spent far too much time looking on the wrong side, but after expanding my search a little the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC 3LG!
Like Dr Owl I spent a wee bit of time on the wrong side, then remembered Owl's comment and of course there it was. TFTC

Snap Happy and I went shopping, then caching.
Had a great Indian tea in Woodville, too, and all up I found 6 caches
We didn't see 1 earwig only a cache and a pretty view at night

Finally came past here (this is one of my closest to home caches, but is annoying to get into) a few days ago but a muggle couple were cannoodling nearby GZ and it would've looked quite odd for me to be near them, with the rest of the park vacant
Having been to the Port for a blood donation I was heading past and called past again to find the area vacant.
With great coordinates it was thankfully a quick find by feel, as it could easily be missed and lead to a longer search, which I didn't need on the way to work
Anyway, my earwig story is about attending a pre Grand-Prix party of a colleague back in 89. His mates had come over from Sydney and after much drinking, one decided that earwigs were a delicacy - he missed the race as he was laid up for a few days sick[B)]

Cheers
