Driving past, and it looked easy, so why not.Bonus. - it was easy. Thanks for the fun
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to TeamThommo for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

We’ve been itching to get out and tackle a series of caches after a prolonged break over Winter. We spent yesterday solving the Auslan
Puzzles, but didn’t quite get them finished in time, so The Slog series fit the bill perfectly. We didn’t quite get them all done (whingy kids!), but we made a good start with only a few DNF’s. Thanks Team Thommo for placing all of these

Nice one…. Hope I don’t get bogged on these roads in my lil car after lots of rain. TFTC
Time to head home from this road trip. Stopping along the way in Bunyip, Garfield and a few other spots as well as a late afternoon check in at Lysterfield.
Another quick find, a little larger than expected. Mary wasn’t home.
Thanks TeamThommo for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Had the chance to collect a few of these while staying in Melbourne house/dog sitting. Your reasoning puts a smile on my face.
Thanks for placing this one TeamThommo

Reading the name of the road we were surprised that Travelling Sister didn’t harness the location for one of her hides. Still, great to see you have placed one here
We have had a very interesting start to 2021, but unfortunately that didn’t include the opportunity to do much starting. On New Years Eve we started the celebrations early while we were staying with our son and his family in Tumut NSW. We had a lovely day with a picnic and lots of fun with our grandkids in a local river, but on the way back to our sons place we heard that Victoria was about to close the border to anyone returning from NSW, so if we didn’t want to spend 2 weeks in quarantine we need to reach the Albury/Wodonga border before midnight. A quick scramble with us, our daughter and her family of 4 plus our 2 grandsons who were spending a few weeks with us for the school holidays and we made it with plenty of time to spare. A bonus was that we beat the exodus from further north and had very little delay at Checkpoint Charlie. We got to ring in the new year somewhere between Yea and Healesville and finally made it home around 2:30am. The following three weeks we had grandkids staying with us, and the boys are too young to enjoy long days caching, so now we are finally able to get out and about.

Reading this cache description reminded me of a couple of caches centred around Mary MacKillop in Melbourne city which I had found sometime early last year. GC3N49P and GC3N49W if anyone is interested.
Easy find with sussvulture, thanks for the cache TeamThommo.

Once again, we parked near a laden plum tree, but it is too early in the season.
Love reading your ponderings!
Love reading your ponderings!
TeamThommo I loved reading of your experience that led to the creation of The Slog series .. hats off to you .. I could not have done it AT ALL .. in fact even though I haven’t completed the series.. I have completed all the required reading of your adventure .. this one was a nice quick pick up .. I thought now where would I hide it.... looked there and voila .. there it was .. thanks TeamThommo.. love your work
Today was my first time out and about caching in 3 months. Muzza and I teamed up and my main aim was to reinstate my pre-covid19 goal to reach 1000 by February 29. Better late than never.
It was a successful day with only 2 DNFs and a deliberate stop at 999 to save the inaugural 4-digit for a particularly favourable cache over yonder in Toorak.
Cheers to TeamThommo for this series!

After a couple of months off thanks to Covid-19, today was my first cache outing. I teamed up with Kristy from Squiiix to hit the Auslan series. With great weather and only 2 DNFs, it was a great day. Another one close to the end of the day.
Many thanks to TeamThommo for the cache.
Many thanks to TeamThommo for the cache.
Today we were for some exercise in a quiet area and The Slog series provided just the place to get out of the house and grab a few quick caches along the way (while maintaining social distancing and good hygiene at all times), resulting in a safe and enjoyable afternoon.
Nice and quick find, but the description may need updating to reflect the current hide.
Thanks for the hide TeamThommo!

Today's plan was to smash out a handful of caches on my way up to the event in noojie/ where I will be camping the night. So with the triple j hottest 100 on to be the soundtrack of today's outing I was off, either way thanks for putting the cache out and being a part of the adventure that was today.
The smell of blood and bone was overpowering but we persisted through the long grass and finally found it in an unexpected place. It was certainly not a nano!
Out with xambo4u, we were on a mission to complete the Pretzel Mystery series (which I didn’t solve all of) but was able to help find them. A great variation of puzzles to stretch the mind. We also did many of the Slog series.
A warm day with lots of grass seeds in the socks !!!
A quick find. I love the title of the cache Thanks TeamThommo

Out and about with echidna44 to complete our Pretzel journey - and pick up on this series. Grasses are long in the area and we are aware of snakes but its the grass seeds that are getting to us. Nice easy find. We got the theme here. Thanks for the caches TeamThommo
This sounded like an interesting series of caches, so we decided to do a part of it with ilook4geo. We found most of the ones we wanted and each log had two more lots of initials penned on it. Some caches were a bit more difficult to locate than others. Safe parking was not available at very many of these caches, which was rather disappointing.
This one was an easy find. Thanks go to TeamThommo for placing these caches with useful titles.

We were on the hunt today with goingplaces2 and came along to do some of this series. We enjoyed finding the caches although a couple had problems. Logs were signed and we moved on to the next. TFTC.

Out on the hunt for clues.
The real mystery is why we r not home in the warm with a hot cup of anything really!
Had fun jumping a few puddles but a nice hide for our first clue.
Thanx

Out on a maintenance run for TeamThommo and checked over this cache to be all in good order. Off to the next one!
Continuing with the 'slog' Nanos are not a favourite to find, did Mary live here? Possibly? Found the cache all was in order signed the log and returned it where found.
Thanks TeamThommo was a great day out.
Thanks TeamThommo was a great day out.
It started all so sweetly, Mary and the mouse
It took a while to realize she had company in the house
And Tess, she didn't worry
She didn't even care
When Mickey shared her dinner
She never turned a hair
But then he got quite cheeky
And some would say too brave
The noise that mouse was making
Was like a rodent rave
He left no signs of presence
Not even one small crap
But Mary knew the time was nigh
She'd have to get a trap
She got ones that would snap shut
She got some that were sticky
But which of these would do the trick
And put an end to Mickey?
She laced the traps with biscuits
And then she tried some cheese
That mouse was having none of it
He was a little tease
One day she thought she'd got him
Those traps they never fail
But Mary soon found out that Mickey
Only lost his tail
He's moved into the bathroom
That mouse sure is no dope
He knows if he gets peckish
He can nibble on the soap
The story's far from over
The war has just begun
'cos Mary just will not give up
Until this battle's won
She's calling in the experts
To come and do their best
As nothing else has helped her
To get rid of this pest
And if when she returns from Oz
Mickeys eyes they do not bat
There's only one more thing to do
She'll have to get a cat!

Being in the area today we decided to undertake this series, having previously only ever found Earthcaches by the CO, which we have always very much enjoyed doing because the CO always gives so much great information even if we don't fully understand it all - consequently we think they ALL warrant higher D ratings! That aside we are so glad we did this trail today, and as to be expected there was lots of information on each page that this time we could understand and relate to! The story greatly enhanced the trail and we were willing the CO on all the way around the circuit. Congratulations to the CO for a sterling effort and for having persevered and completed the course - you have our full admiration! This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Caching day in Pakenham/Nar Nar Goon area for the day. Found it. Thanks TeamThommo for placing the cache

Read the description and the hint and thought "oh no, this may take a while". But things must have changed from the original hide. Thank goodness. TFTC TeamThommo.

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

**Find #2870**
**Traditional Cache Find #1993**
I headed out early today to target this cache and try to finish The Slog series. It is three years ago this month since The Swaggies and I headed out in search of FTF's in this series. We were successful in finding five because there were a number of cachers in the hunt. I can't believe it has taken me three years to make a concerted effort to finish it. I don't know the answer to the question, but there's a cache living here now.

He headed out to get as many as we could in the two hours that we had.

Apologies for the late log. I had some rare time off on a weekday afternoon so headed out this way to tackle The Slog series and a few others nearby. Got on a bit of a run along this section and having parked on the main road I made the short walk over the bridge and quickly made the find here. I didn't get the cache name until I saw the street sign. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and a great series TeamThommo. My tenth of 24 finds on a productive afternoon.

Made the find in super quick time. I don't think it is the original cache any more, or maybe the cache description is misleading? Or maybe Mary McKillop had another miracle under her belt. TFTC
That was much easier to find than last time I tried in its old spot. We thought a Muggle farmer on a quad bike might come up to us to investigate, but he turned into his driveway. Alarm averted, I made the find and signed the log. TFTC
Today we tackled this series which provided some challenges with a great variety of hides. Mrs "T" found all the hides while Mr "T" did the navigating. We enjoyed the day out and will complete the series tomorrow. An easy find
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

No, Mary didn't live here. After my pretty dubious start to this series it was nice to come back and well, almost complete it! I loved reading about your bike riding adventure. I will admit I'm glad it wasn't me on the bike! However, I must ask, did you place the caches by car, or go back for a second ride? TFTC TeamThommo
Lots of little muggles watching us today i nearly wanted to put one in the car then remembered im actually scared of these type of muggles lol so we kept moving tftc
Found with KrysLazz. Not a micro, nor in a bush but an easy find nonetheless. Thanks!

Although the neighbours were originally informed about the hide and at one stage even quite interested I can see from reading recent logs that it maybe there is either a new tenant or they have forgotten so I have moved the hide to a slightly more obvious location and a little further away from their front yard I would hate anyone to be annoyed.
