Took a while looking around then we finally came across the cache Has no lid on it Thanks Team Tommo for this one
Easy find the tin needs replacing as the lid was missing and the log may get wet
Tricky tricky one, but with a little familiarity with the CO’s naming convention I was soon able to turn into a smiley. TFTC and great adventure.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to TeamThommo for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

I decided to go backroad after the trauma of the Cardinia road caches
Well this is a random one - after all the soggy logs I have found today I truly cannot believe this one is dry after all this horrible weather

We’ve been itching to get out and tackle a series of caches after a prolonged break over Winter. We spent yesterday solving the Auslan
Puzzles, but didn’t quite get them finished in time, so The Slog series fit the bill perfectly. We didn’t quite get them all done (whingy kids!), but we made a good start with only a few DNF’s. Thanks Team Thommo for placing all of these

This was next on today's sojourn around the area. It was a nice quick find right on noon thanks to pretty good coordinates. Unfortunately, the lid of the container is gone but the logsheet is still dry for now. Hopefully it stays that way.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks TeamThommo.

Found 8:10 am
A quick find here with an unexpected container but log signed and onto the next one of the series. The road this one is on is nice, how it should be.

Tis the season to be jolly. (Well today was exactly 2 months past the jolliest of days anyway) TFTC
Still catching up on logs from my recent caching day endeavouring to find the remaining caches in The Slog series. I have really enjoyed reading of TeamThommo’s long bike ride .. and the different themes of the caches .. this one was on a little quiet road and the cache was quickly found .. thanks TeamThommo
CCChristmas might be coming, but as it’s just been we will have to wait for 11 months before Santa comes calling again! A nice quick find
We have had a very interesting start to 2021, but unfortunately that didn’t include the opportunity to do much starting. On New Years Eve we started the celebrations early while we were staying with our son and his family in Tumut NSW. We had a lovely day with a picnic and lots of fun with our grandkids in a local river, but on the way back to our sons place we heard that Victoria was about to close the border to anyone returning from NSW, so if we didn’t want to spend 2 weeks in quarantine we need to reach the Albury/Wodonga border before midnight. A quick scramble with us, our daughter and her family of 4 plus our 2 grandsons who were spending a few weeks with us for the school holidays and we made it with plenty of time to spare. A bonus was that we beat the exodus from further north and had very little delay at Checkpoint Charlie. We got to ring in the new year somewhere between Yea and Healesville and finally made it home around 2:30am. The following three weeks we had grandkids staying with us, and the boys are too young to enjoy long days caching, so now we are finally able to get out and about.
Straightforward find in a logical spot

Now this one was almost exactly what I expected out of this cache’s title! Thanks for the mint, TeamThommo! Lol.
Having spent the night with the grandchildren, we were quite tuned into this theme. Quickly spotted, but it needs some TLC. The lid is missing and the log needs replacing. We had one of those containers with us but not the tools to do it up the way it is meant to be.
Hunting a few of the The Slog series today and another diversion onto a side road. Parked opposite GZ and started hunting. The equine residents of the paddock nearby were certainly interested in what I was doing - and one of them even had a good sniff of my jacket, disconcerting when you are not expecting a horses nose to be snuffling you when you aren't looking! Had the cache in hand after a small amount of time (kept looking the wrong side!) and once looking in the right direction there it was. The container has seen better days and really needs replacing - no lid and the log is damp. Other wise great idea for a cache and very festive! Thanks to TeamThommo for this one
Today we were looking for some exercise in a quiet area and The Slog series provided just the place to get out of the house and grab a few quick caches along the way (while maintaining social distancing and good hygiene at all times), resulting in a safe and enjoyable afternoon.
Somehow this one took a rather long time to locate, despite it being right in front of me the whole time!
The theming is looking a little worse for wear, with part of it acting as a lid - nothing is compromised as of now, but a bit of TLC would serve it well.
Thanks to TeamThommo for the hide!

Out and about with echidna44 to complete our Pretzel journey - and pick up on this series. Grasses are long in the area and we are aware of snakes but this is our last for the day and not a snake in sight except for the ones we were meant to find. We wonder what Christmas this one was off. Container has lost lid.
Thanks for the caches TeamThommo

Out with xambo4u, we were on a mission to complete the Pretzel Mystery series (which I didn’t solve all of) but was able to help find them. A great variation of puzzles to stretch the mind. We also did many of the Slog series.
A warm day with lots of grass seeds in the socks !!!
We wandered all around here until we spotted the old dusty cache. Thanks TeamThommo

This sounded like an interesting series of caches, so we decided to do a part of it with ilook4geo. We found most of the ones we wanted and each log had two more lots of initials penned on it. Some caches were a bit more difficult to locate than others. Safe parking was not available at very many of these caches, which was rather disappointing.
This one was an easy find. Thanks go to TeamThommo for placing these caches with useful titles.

We were on the hunt today with goingplaces2 and came along to do some of this series. We enjoyed finding the caches although a couple had problems. Logs were signed and we moved on to the next. TFTC.
TFTC! Fun find on a night out with mrx2 and diablo1234. Really enjoyable series to get our mystery caches!
Out on a night Caching with monica_is_evil and mrx2 Great Hides. Great Cache.

Out gem hunting with the family
We all got out of the car for this one....
Master2 will be an awesome cacher when he's older but for now quiet country roads are ideal.
Merry Christmas and thanx for the hide

Found on the ground and water logged. Replaced as best I could. Luckily the log paper is water proof.
Out performing a maintenance run for TeamThommo. The cache container has seen better days bit is still functional everything is all good and in order. Off to the next one!
Continuing with the 'slog' this one was really easy to find, all was in order signed the log and returned it where found.
Thanks TeamThommo was a great day out.

So every night,
I watch out for Santa,
Waiting for a huge guy
with huge belly to show up.
Then one night, my wish came true.
I saw someone huge near on my socks,
Putting something there,
I was shocked it was my DAD!
Thanx for the Adventure Stay Dirty ️

Being in the area today we decided to undertake this series, having previously only ever found Earthcaches by the CO, which we have always very much enjoyed doing because the CO always gives so much great information even if we don't fully understand it all - consequently we think they ALL warrant higher D ratings! That aside we are so glad we did this trail today, and as to be expected there was lots of information on each page that this time we could understand and relate to! The story greatly enhanced the trail and we were willing the CO on all the way around the circuit. Congratulations to the CO for a sterling effort and for having persevered and completed the course - you have our full admiration! We soon spotted this nicely themed cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Heading down to Nyora for the CITO and as I had a bit of time I decided to do a few of The Slog caches before moving on.
It was a little bit after Christmas but I was soon finding my present and unwrapping it to add my name to the log.
Thanks TeamThommo TFTC.

Late night run to grab my second for the day. Was a little concerned heading out here with the fires but was all good and could not smell smoke but the roads are definitely busy. Normally out here is quiet. Cache was a fairly quick find but was looking in the wrong spot at the beginning
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache.

What a mess around the trees. The satellites couldn't agree on the first place on where to send me (no, I'm not climbing over the fence...), but after some time I felt a bit Christmassy and found it.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
The gum trees are beautiful but make such a mess! After a bit of walking around I found the right tree. #foundit 407
Found with CGBH today. The cache was found lying on the ground with the shredded remains of what it was attached to lying in pieces around it. Container and log still ok but not sure where it is supposed to be so tucked it out of sight behind a tree. Might be worth a check up by the CO. Thank you
Found it! Always there’s a car coming! Always!! Anyway waited for them to drive on. Replaced it where I thought it should b! TFTC SL
Sweet find.
The Geomutts took advantage of this rather remote location and jumped out to relieve themselves.
I didn't let them mark the **Christmas** tree!

Even after five years, every time we find a geocache it's just like opening a Christmas present.
Our Geomutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie enjoyed a leg stretch here.
Thank you TeamThommo

Apologies for the late log. I had some rare time off on a weekday afternoon so headed out this way to tackle The Slog series and a few others nearby. A diversion off the main trail (which I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted on your bike ride) but once I got near the spot parking was conveniently close. After a quick search I had this cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and a great series TeamThommo. My nineteenth of 24 finds on a productive afternoon.

Found by Mary & David at 1715. And a FP, as this one made us laugh. Hope you are all well and the children soon settle back to school after your huge trip. Was wonderful to follow your photos and to see you in Ceduna. Our thanks to TeamThommo.
While visiting a friend in the area popped by this one on the way home. Certain an interesting area with a goat strolling down the road and some horse running around their paddock. Guessed the correct hide and the horses bolted over to check me out.
Thanks for the cache Team Thommo

Today we tackled this series which provided some challenges with a great variety of hides. Mrs "T" found all the hides while Mr "T" did the navigating. We enjoyed the day out and will complete the series tomorrow. An easy find
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Christmas comes every year. Just learn to ignore it! After my pretty dubious start to this series it was nice to come back and well, almost complete it! I loved reading about your bike riding adventure. I will admit I'm glad it wasn't me on the bike! However, I must ask, did you place the caches by car, or go back for a second ride? TFTC TeamThommo
Lots of horses watching us today whilr we found signed and replaced this cache tftc was nice to be off the busy road even if it was for 5 minutes tftc
3 beautiful horses came to say hi. It is Christmas in July after all, the more the merrier. TFTC
Found with KrysLazz. A lovely little detour off the main slog and the local horses came to say hello! Thanks.

Was great to be back smashing this series, that we started a few months back.
Perfect time to find this cache, xmas in July and all.

Now this section of the day was just for the numbers, with limited amount of daylight I knew i had to get as close as I could to 1000 for tomorrow, either way each of these caches were done fairly quickly with no difficulty in the hides themselves, parking for this section of the day was in some cases very questionable but hey that is the life of a cacher. Sorry for the generic log but I am very tired and wish to sleep haha.

A nice quiet road to stop on and look for the cache. What a great idea for a Christmas cache.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache and the series.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache and the series.
There was a nice big rut for us to pull over into for this one. Left no doubt by the swarms of previsous cachers. We're beginning to understand the mind(s) of our CO(s). Very funny people obviously. Very fresh. TFTC
This hide led to a 'Xmas dinner in March' conversation with Mrs Monch Thanks for the hide.
Well with Fleabag- finally coming back to Victoria from all his holidays everywhere we decided to head out this way to try and complete the slog series and also to gather a couple of WhereIGo caches as well as anything else that was nearby that looked doable. It was pretty warm and sunny today but not overly hot plus a fair bit of driving so we could cool down every few minutes.
Sorry for the generic log but I had already found 2 of the slogs but no clue as yet. We never did find clues A & B but with our incredible deductive powers we still managed with the last 3 clues to calculate GZ of the final. Some really cool camos I had never seen before as well.
We had a pretty good run and managed to find them all today with no DNF's. Had to abort # 10 while a muggle was mowing metres from GZ but returned later for the find.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

A nice day with no plans so I met up with Spiffy- for some random caching and to collect a few that had been on our list for a while. I loved the cammos in this series. Funny and clever. Quick find. We did see a cpuple ridinh this circuit. Hot work today.
