I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.

I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.

Best wishes, Lærry

First cache of 2018! Watched the fireworks nearby and waited fit everyone to clear. A quick easy find. Thanks for placing this one here. Happy New Year!

01-Jan-18
First cache of 2018 to start off the new year with a bang! Scouted out the area quickly on the way here and made an easy find on the way back from watching the fireworks, great spot to see it! Happy New Year!!! Tftc Smile (... Now off we go home for a sleep in, and then we're out to get more caches haha!)

Parked at Sulphur Beach Reserve and walked along the edge of the motorway to GZ. This route which then continues through the tunnel, is being looked at as an option for SeaPath. Found the cache, after spending too long looking at the larger goalposts... Good condition; log damp but still writable. Great views of the city from here. TFTC Smile

22-Sep-17
Awesome evening for a stroll after work. Great hide TFTC!

15-Sep-17
Quick find on an after-work run around Northcote Point. Looked for this a couple of times with my family, without luck. Now that I've found it, I'm not sure what our problem was. Thanks!

13-Aug-17
It was a nice day to head out caching, so I teamed up with Kirstim, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vamber to do some caching around the Devonport area. After that, YK83 and I did a few more caches on our way home. Walked through the tunnel and made a quick find of the cache while GZ was clear of muggles, and police. TFTC!

13-Aug-17
Vistra and I just had a couple more to grab on our way home after the day in Devonport. Worked out where to park and made our way safely to GZ, quite a few people seemed to be doing circular loop walks, which had it not been for the motorway and about to rain i would have said was lovely. TFTC

26-Apr-17
Having achieved Tunnel Vision I walked along a bit further to see if I could also strike it lucky and made a nice quick find.

18-Mar-17
Walked around from under the bridge to get this one as well as tunnel vision slightly further along. Quickly logged before back tracking the way I came, cheers

25-Feb-17
Luke found it!
All ok

23-Feb-17
After collecting the van from in Henderson I took the long way home via the Harbour Bridge and this cache. Parked at the suggested co-ords and walked under the motorway. Walking towards GZ it would be hard to miss the giant version of the hint item. Once actually at GZ the real one became apparent. Then it was a Lucky Strike and a quick score. Thanks for another reason to walk over here.

12-Feb-17
Finally found this one. Down in auckland for the therefore time for some caching before di ner

05-Feb-17
Caching with rustynz, thanks for the cache Big Grin

05-Feb-17
Out with rebel98 and dandy mandy for a little caching after dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant Big Grin The harbour is looking stunning, a couple of Oyster catchers, and a sign at the beginning of the walkway reminding us of Dotterel's nesting nearby.

No visits from the local po-po Smile nothing to see here, as I reached down to find the cache! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

Hope the CO is resting up, we need you Razz

04-Feb-17

14-Jan-17
Out walking and getting a close look at a gigantic cruise liner moored in the harbour and came upon this cache which we had missed on a previous visit. quick find. TFTC

The crowd was building up to near capacity in what was billed as the match of the season. The manager was thinking about a substitute for the team United as one was injured before kick-off. Under Fifa geocaching guidelines no substitutes are allowed so the team had to carry the player through the game. A few minutes into the game out went the shout Goal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXnHDsXrPvM
Now that’s one hell of a strike we’ve achieved almost all our 2017 geocaching aims for the year 7-10. For the record that’s G2 (Watford?) 0 Handyandyman (united) 6
Cheers Glyn for the goal and the win held at the impressive Auckland waterfront stadium.

Found it quite quickly just before a big man with a big big big dog came by. The rottweiler was rather too friendly but they soon left us alone to complete the log and scarper.

25-Apr-16
Lovely walk that we would never come to normally. Log wet.

20-Apr-16
I was running along then stopped and saw the cache, great hide

17-Apr-16
Easy find.... even in the wet weather. TFTC

07-Apr-16
Thanks G-2 for showing me this cool tunnel - fun walk through and along the highway.
Nice easy cache find. SL

11-Mar-16
By comparison to Gorby's adventure, I found the cache in a rather boring set of circumstances. I guess staying on the correct side of the fence keeps the police away.
Traffic was at a standstill, so I was able to walk to GZ faster than most cars, so that's something. Or, maybe not. TFTC.

11-Mar-16
A very pleasant nighttime stroll here from the earlier cache on this side of the motorway. Quick find and it matches the hint, but not sure if it's supposed to be attached somehow? It's not any more (if it was previously) but it's in a secure position. Great spot, thanks for showing it to me!

06-Mar-16
Out for a bit of fresh air on a sunny Sunday afternoon getting a few caches in the local area. Great view from here and interesting to be on this side of the motorway. Easy find.

31-Jan-16
Passed under the tunnel once again, fortunately my Gps regains satellite capability quickly after losing it!
Soon found, wasn’t concerned about the passing high-speed muggles
Thx for once again bringing me here

28-Dec-15

Nice and fast find well in the area. Nice views here across Auckland. TFTC

09-Dec-15
After suffering from a bout of tunnel vision, I had to see my way to the lucky piggy, as I was already on this side of the world. TFTC

02-Dec-15
Had spent the day at the nearby sugar plant for work today so, instead of battling the traffic over the bridge back home, I decided to do some caching in the local area.

I started with a G-2 cache and now my evening caching has ended with a G-2 cache! Took a wander down the path to GZ, have never been here before and wouldn't have even known the road under the bridge existed, but for the wonderful hobby of geocaching!! Found the cache soon enough and stopped to take a few more snaps before finally deciding the traffic was good enough to head home via some food! TFTC!

29-Nov-15
Nice n quick; which is a rarity with Glyn. Enjoying the exploration

14-Nov-15
Been many years since I have been here for a cache, nice to return again.

14-Nov-15
We had 14 caches unfound between our home in Wgp and the Harbour Bridge so today was the day to find them all. 100% find rate and the shore nice and clean again. Didn't have the parking co-ords loaded but remembered how to get here. Lovely walk along to GZ and see that our good friend Sp8sm8 was here earlier. TFTC

14-Nov-15
First cache of the day. Great little cache. Thank you!

08-Nov-15
Out finding caches for the day with lamalama and squeezy92 - had just dropped off squeezy and finding just a few more with lama, this was the last one. Great spot and an easy find. Awesome view of the city lights across the water. TFTC!!!

08-Nov-15
After a nice day with funkymunkyzone and squeezy_92 we went to this place to watch the skyline of Auckland by night.

Really cool!!

After a few looks we had the cache!

TFTC!

Greetings from Germany,

Great to find a new cache in our neighbourhood. Thanks.

01-Nov-15
Out and about for a spot of caching on the shore on this fine afternoon. This was my first stop. Went to park at the given coordinates but there was a sign saying that the tunnel was closed today. I suspect that that was for the marathon and it would be fine at this time. But to be on the safe side I came in via Sulphur Beach and made the walk up the path. Nice quick find at GZ. Cheers for the cache placement!

31-Oct-15
Quick stop on slieschke's and my way back to the city. TFTC

26-Oct-15
Really appreciate the parking coords - Mr P and I parked the car and wandered under the motorway. Arrived out in the sunshine and soon found the right place, Mr P did the find, we signed the log, admired the view and tested the acoustics on the way back. t4tc

25-Oct-15
Scotty & Kiwi out enjoying a sunny afternoon walk around the foreshore. Never knew there was a pedestrian tunnel here. We struck it lucky fairly quickly today. No visit from the police. Interesting spot we have never really visited before........ well in truth we drive past most days. Smile

21-Oct-15
Ha ha ....just noticed your log Gorby....hilarious story !!!

21-Oct-15
It was a hilarious night Helen! I don't mind the run-ins with the Police. It's a good opportunity to show them what Geocaching is all about. Cool

19-Oct-15
I had one of my caches come live before midnight which I was quite excited about, and I see also one of G-2"s too. So rather than sit at home and watch what happens and see who gets my cache, I'm back out in the car and off up the NW motorway, boy what a drama that was, closures everywhere, but eventually parked up at the suggested co-ordinates. I have never been here before and never knew this walkway under the motorway even existed!! Awesome. I see the 'goal posts' concerned as I approach the original co-ords given.

Looked at the hint and not being sure entirely of which post I might be looking for, I jumped the fence and started looking along the barrier!! Wasn't having any joy there, and whaddaya know G! I get a visit from the local constabulary. Apparently I was on one of the cameras somewhere and the officers wanted to know who it was that was doing unscheduled maintenance on the barriers and why he wasn't wearing a Hi Viz vest!! Hah hah hah! I see that I had some explaining to do that's for sure! So off course I had my GPS with me and I still had the C:Geo app open on my mobile, so the officers stood by the barrier on that side and me on this side while I showed them the co-ordinates, the name of the cache, the hint etc. I think the woman officer was quite impressed, she started to relax after that but they were quite firm in telling me to jump back over the fence! So I obliged them off course and they stayed there in their car for a minute while I searched for the cache this side of the fence! Not more than 10 secs after they drove off I found it!! Piggy (I mean Gorby) struck it lucky! Damn, if I had found it while they were still parked up, I would have shown them!! never mind, I quickly opened the cache and saw the log was blank and I happily signed away.

Your updated co-ords are spot on I'd say G, looking on Google Earth, in all the excitement with the police, I forgot to take a reading on my faithful GPS. Thanks very much for the fun, this is the second time for me to have a late night discussion with the constabulary, on both occasions, it has been very late, on both occasions it has been on your caches!! I directly hold you responsible for all that, hah hah hah!

Cool FTF #152 Cool

Nice quick second to find with Ric on our way to an oldies concert at Bruce Mason Centre.
Thanks Glyn .....no need to climb any fences here !

19-Oct-15
Have been here a few times, and it has always been busy, funny that. !!!!!!
No problem locating, which was just as well as we were running out of time on our way to a
Rave Event on the North Shore. Tftc.

19-Oct-15
Thought about attempting a park and grab until I read Gorby's log. I haven't ran into cops yet while caching only the odd security guard and I want to keep it that way... Good you Gorby, and nice hide G2, always exciting to walk under the motorway, TFTC Smile
