Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a very long and somewhat arduous day, starting with an early morning walk around Glenelg before heading out towards the hills, Hahndorf, and Mount Barker. We then finished it off by targeting as many caches on our to-do list as we could before making it back to Glenelg just on dark for some gelati. Overall, it was a mostly successful caching day and are thoroughly enjoying our visit to Adelaide thus far.Nice quick stop on our way to Mt Barker, two eagles or hawks were circling in the sky above. Thanks for the cache
Would definitely recommend bringing a torch and watch where you put your hands
This was in the open. When I checked the obvious spot, even with a rock as cover there was nothing under the rock. When I looked up I saw it on the ground. Back in it's hidy hole now. TFTC
My wife and I are staying in Hahndorf for the week and today was one of those miserable rainy days when it isnt worth planning anything. All we planned was a sleep in, a brewery visit and a wine cellar door visit.Seeing that sh@tpiles is not the word to use to describe how busy we were, we took everything slowly. I have been enjoying the German brews in Hahndorf but sometimes you just need a pale ale to get your pencil hard.On the way into the brewery to grab some beers we ran up to the road to make the find. Like others have said the cache is not in the expected spot. tftc
Found although not where it should have been .It was laying on the ground in the open. Tftc
was super easy - almost plain sight, wasnt sure if thats where it was originally. TFTC!!

I was out for the day with Peas&CarrotsForever and AussieGal88 to attend the Mount Barker Summit CITO.
We then grabbed caches on the mountain top. Followed by some in Nairne, Totness, Hay Valley and Inverbrackie afterwards as well.
We had lunch at the Prancing Pony Brewery and found a total of 16 caches for the day and completed one adventure lab.
After lunch I walked the very short distance to pick up this cache. I made a quick find in the obvious spot.
Cache and contents are all good.
Thanks TravlngSistersNephew for this cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3329 on the 30th of July 2023.
CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!
**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**

Southern Autumn adventure Day 50. Mid North section of SA trip Day 21. Mount Barker 1. Today and the next two days are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. In the meantime I had a day around Mount Barker area today. There was light rain on and off, but it was not much of a problem. I tried to find the multi's I worked out the numbers for yesterday and had a load more caches on the list that went from smoothly to very problematic. I had to skip a whole section as the only access road we being re-surfaced. It was a long and quite difficult day at times, but with that comes a sense of achievement with what was found. I finished the day with dinner in the pub in town and had a great night !
With people coming and going from the nearby shops, I had to wait my turn to get and sign this log.
Thanks for the cache TravlngSistersNephew

Last one for the morning.. grabbed a good 12 whilst with a meetup walking group around nearby Totness Park... tftc
Very quick find here as I spotted something out of place as I drove past. After signing, I repositioned the "something out of place" so it wasn't quite so glaringly obvious!
Cache is in excellent condition, and a very cool hide.
