A nice quick find. Got fuel and then cache... I really need to fix my priorities. TFTC Pacmania.
Quick find on way home from snow. Dropped on other side which added a slight challenge. Didnt have pen but took pic should CO require
With a free weekend and various geo-events on in Canberra, I decided to go for a trip over there. So today is day #1 of 3. I started with a late start leaving Temora at about 7:50am and arriving in Canberra for bfast at about 10:10am. Afterwards it was time to CITO which was my first cache of the day. Once the clean-up was over, I headed over to suburb of Taylor and found what I could of the caches around there. It ended up with major mixture of cache types, hides and D/T combos. Some of the caches were very quick to find while others took a little while. Once that was done I made my way over to the Majura Cycleway to finally finish the Power Trail. I only had nine (#1 to #9) more to find. I didnt have my bike with me so I did the just over an hour walk to find them. Two of them took a while to find but now has been found. Now its time to head over to the motel but not before finding one more cache and having dinner. All caches attempted were found and of course this one was one of them. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTCs!
Found while I was in the area. Thank was no you for the information and the cache.
Gotcha! Heading out to Bywong so thought Id stop in and grab ahold of this little fella. Great little hide! Thanks
After finishing all our tours, we had a lesson in charging an electric vehicle then it was truely after midnight so we headed off to NSW to get the first of our caches for 4 states in one day, lets hope we can pull it off!
Well it was our finally full day at Capital GeoBash & we had to learn how to charge our electric car. By the time we were done midnight had arrived and it was departure day. So our mission for departure day is to cache 4 states in 1 day. I suggested to Tweety2 that we get a head start on this and collect this cache tonight before we go to bed. Adding only an extra 5km to our journey we soon made the find and have our NSW cache for the day. Later we will need an ACT, VIC & SA cache to break my record of 3. Im not sure Ill be able to break this record again. TFTC!
We found this cache while visiting Canberra for the Geobash Mega. While visiting Canberra we had a wonderful time and saw many amazing sights. As we were only staying a stones throw away it would have been rude not to find this cache so close to 'home'.Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches for us all to find.
At the tail end of the Capital Geobash, V ventured out into Deep Space today while S wandered the streets near camp, to add a few happy faces to our map. This one took a moment - until the hint made sense. Neat hide. Thank you!
I dropped the cache on the wrong side of the fence. It took a while to retrieve. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. Found on our journey over the week here. This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Courtneyrose_ Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite as part of our team called: ABP (Alphabet People), the log books were either signed with the name, ABP or our individual caching names.A great weekend away in the capital and a very well organised mega, it was nice to be back in the ACT caching once again over easter with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Found by The Empire + H with another bunch of lovely geocachers we assembled at the Ainsley morning event.Today, on Easter Sunday, Canberra greeted us with a stark contrast from the misty atmosphere of yesterday. The sun blazed overhead, casting its golden rays upon the city, and the temperature rose steadily, promising a hot day ahead. Undeterred by the heat, our intrepid team of geocachers gathered once again, ready to embark on another thrilling adventure. Signed as VIC6, or The Empire throughout the day. Thanks for the cache Pacmania.-M
I found this cache on a visit from Adelaide to Canberra to attend the Capital GeoBash Mega event over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks Pacmania for the cache.
Found this during a fantastic weekend away at the Canberra Mega, with gridge98, Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite. The log books were either signed with the name ABP or our individual caching names. Was an excellent Mega, grateful to be part of it!
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time, and space in the logbooks, or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache Pacmania!
We made a last minute decision to head down to Canberra to join in all the fun at the Capital GeoBash MEGA Event. Only able to attend on the Saturday & Sunday, with an overnight stay at the border on Saturday night in a park cabin at the Eaglehawk Caravan Park, as it's back to work early Monday morning for geodad. Today (day 2) started with a couple of Traditional cache finds right out the front of our overnight accommodation (Eaglehawk Caravan Park), then drove back to the GeoBash MEGA site for some more Labs and Gadget caches, and then a few MultiCaches (plus a Traditional cache) located close to the GeoBash site. It was then time for us to hit the highway and head for home, with a stop-off at Goulburn's Big Merino for a Virtual cache, a Mystery/Puzzle cache, a Traditional cache, as well as petrol, pies & cakes from Trappers Bakery, and Maccas for ice cream. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 1st of 34 finds for the day (day 2), and 23rd of 56 finds for the MEGA weekend. Our first cache stop for the day, after checking out of our nearby overnight accommodation, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The old road still looks to be in reasonable condition at this spot. TFTC Pacmania.Find #6784
In Canberra for GeoBash 2024. Had an awesome time and joined up with Happy Feet 1 for some epic caching fun. We tackled tricky puzzles, found loads of caches, and had a great time meeting old and new caching buddies. This is one of the caches we found whilst in Canberra.Cheers for the cache.
Found while attending the Mega and out with HansandLinda, MeandDe. A great day out. Another great day for caching. TFTC Pacmania
TFTC Pacmania your cache OldFed 1 - Eaglehawk that we found today. We are in Canberra for the fun and games of the Mega. Another day in the National Capital. After a morning event we returned to camp for breakfast. We hatched a plan with Wollaston and MeAndDe to point the vehicle and see where we ended up. We had a few targets in mind before turning to Hall. A pleasant village with much history and numerous multis. We made a good haul and returned to camp tired and happy. Find Count: 19474

Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers Pacmania! The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 2 and we had an absolute blast. After being up late last night we backed it up again this morning with an early start to make the most of the cooler weather and lack of muggles in the morning cold. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed the large number of virtuals, and caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some of the oldest caches in Australia, some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WAC (WA Crew)
Signed as WAC with a crew from WA. We have flown over for the mega and are caching massive days. Thanks for the hide.

After abandoning the chase to catch up to the rest of the Vic1 crew, who were on a very steep incline to the north. I decided then to head a different direction instead to some more easily accessible caches, then on the way back to the cabin, stopped for this one too as well as getting some supplies and fuel from nearby. Thanks from D B-A
Stopped by near here to get some petrol so parked the car and walked down the find this cache. Read the hint, which helped, and soon spotted a likely hide. Walked up, poked, and had the cache in hand. Signed the log and replaced it all as found. Then it was back to the car. while dodging the rain. Tftc
I thought I was probably done caching today when I left Jindabyne and Berridale. Possibly a cache when I stopped into Goulburn for fuel and food.
I'd been keeping an eye on the car's fuel range and comparing it to the distance on Google Maps on my phone as I drove, and it looked like I'd get to Gouldurn with a decent margin. Unfortunately, it appears that the car's USB power output is roughly equal to the drain from Google Maps, and this seems to have led to the phone overheating. So, better safe than sorry, and this was the next place to get off the highway. I pointed some air-conditioning vents at the phone and pulled into a town so small it probably doesn't even have one horse.
I filled up the fuel tank, discovered that the fuel station café was closed and so was the nearby pub, and that the town has no other source of food. Therefore I decided that food is overrated anyway (especially if it comes from a servo pie warmer). By the time I returned to the car I was able to restart the phone, and decided to make the best of the stop by seeing if there was a cache nearby.
Surprisingly there is. Two in fact. So I took a very short drive down to this cache. It took me a minute to cotton on to a familiar hide, maybe I'm overheating too. But it was soon found and I took a trip to the end of the old highway before crossing the new for the second cache.

Great geocach for us first timers! It was a little tricky, but we got some hints from the other finders.
#1510 After finishing up work for the afternoon and year this arvo it was good to stop in a have a drink before heading home. After my company finished up having a chat I wandered down this way to make a find for the day. The cache was quickly find after reaching GZ. Added my name to the log and made the trek back to the vehicle to head home. Thanks Pacmania for the hide
Looks like a battery! Really cool geocache. Be careful with the barbed wire. TFTC!
So it’s kinda a long story how we got to sign the cache. We’ve been staying at the nearby Ibis hotel. The first night we went for a walk around the place to stretch our legs after a long drive from Melbourne when I checked caches around the area, and I poked at it as per hint. But a cache didn’t come out, a Huntsman spider did. Scared the bejeezus out of my geokid who was accompanying me and she wouldn’t let me scare it off or else she’d scream louder. Figured I’d come back the next night after spending the day exploring around Canberra. So night 2 I came to conquer this cache only to realise my pen wasn’t working. It was getting dark so again, I’d come back in the morning. But ran out of time as I had to be somewhere on time. Later that night (night 3) it was pouring rain when I returned to the hotel after another day in Canberra. Finally today I got to sign the log book!!
Found It!
After staying in the hotel across the road for the night, this just had to be the first cache of the day!

We have finally booked in and been able to sit without moving!! We headed out to watch the sunset and, of course, find this cache. tftc
Staying here directly out the front we couldn’t let this one go. So we settled in then went for a stroll…. Hello cache…. Another smile on our weekend getaway tftc
We booked our accomodation for the weekend then started at looking at what caches we’d like to find whilst up this way. Turns out this one was pretty much at our doorstep. After traveling a million miles in the last 24 hours it was nice to sit and have a coffee. But the coffee was too hot so we took it for a walk to cool it down. I love the fact that that gz came with its own cup holder! Tftc
On a quiet caching drive today with Aquilus1, picking up a few oldies, a few virtuals, wherigo's and others. Thanks for placing

Out with GreyHams on a lovely sunny day for an enjoyable afternoon of caching. A loop starting with a few northside caches and out towards Sutton. A good variety of locations and types, ending the day with a couple of nice virtuals and the most spectacular sunset on the drive home. Many thanks for your cache Pacmania.
I found the location, but the hint helped to narrow down the possibilities.
Thanks Pacmania.

Easter 2022. dalerious and I set off from home at 1600hrs Thursday to start our 5 days of adventure caching our way to Canberra. We were planning to sleep in the car, as we did not know how far we would get leaving Tatura so late in the day. Well, we made it all the way to our first destination on our caching list, Yass, and mind you, we cached on the way up as well . We were even lucky enough to get a motel room for the night without even booking; what luck .
We had a strategic list mainly made up of challenge caches which we were to target around Yass and Canberra. Our minds boggled as we realised how many caches ended up on that list, and we were certain that we were being extremely ambitious with just the list of challenge caches, let alone the few other caches we threw in the mix on the proviso that the challenges were top priority, and the others would only be undertaken if we had time.
Not only did we complete all the challenges, but we also signed the logs on a mix of trad's, wherigo's, virtual's, letterboxe's, mysterie's and earthcaches. Most we added on the run, as each day panned out so perfectly.
What an awesome time away. We could not have wished for a better time caching and the weather was as perfect as you could ask for .
We hopped back into NSW from the ACT do grab this little trad as it crossed off another county we needed to qualify for a challenge we are working on .
Thank you Pacmania for providing this cache.
