Another after work adventure up here on Shepherds hillThanks for bringing me here, awesome view so a FP4UTFTC
Caches on hills like this remind me that I need to be doing more caching to keep fit. It is such a beautiful view from this area, though, be mindful of critters in the long spring grass.TFTC.
I had been eyeing off this cache for such a long time, as I was intrigued by the D4 rating.Today, I brought along a semi muggle friend to try our luck at finding the cache. It took a few minutes. Eventually, I ignored the given coordinates and went with my gut, which is where I found the cache. The container loses to paper and the paper log book loses to water it seems. As the log book was soaked, I managed to just sign it but it isn't looking too good. The cache could do with some TLC.Nice views here though, cool spot.A freight train went by when searching and the brakes were applied, the squealing noise filled the entire valley where we were standing. It hurt to hear, it was so loud. Thanks lama-jeb for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3832 on the 17th of November 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
Im sure it was here but everything is over grown with bees everywhere so I had to give up
Great hide! Wasn’t expecting to find such a small container in a location like this, but no matter! TFTC! I’m puffed! Found with my geodog.
I was out wandering around the hills today and looking for a few caches along the way. I ended up slipping a sliding a bit more than anticipated on my way up this hill - wow it was muddy. When I got to GZ there had clearly been a fire (planned burn) and some earth works also done. I had a quick look and didn't see anything that said cache. As I turned to leave I saw something very close to the earth works - looks like the cache has been displaced. I put it back near where my GPS was pointing under some natural camo. TFTC
looked around within 10m of gps no luck, looks like recent fires have been here
La Nina is in full force today, barely 20deg and raining quite effectively for mid January. So with raincoat, dog and GPS in hand I set off. Most taking the long way there and the even longer way home.
This cache was pretty much as it said on the tin. Mint tin under a rock. New log book though, always fun being first signing one of those.

Headed south again today with the main aim being some walking in the 80 Acres Park just a bit south east of Happy Valley for ten traditionals. Managed to find eleven other traditionals on the way there and scored a bonus of a puzzle in the park that I had on the To Find list.
Had read some logs and realized that there probably wasn't an actual cache to be found so came in with a replacement. Once at my GZ found something to indicate that a cache had been here sometime but there was no sign of the container or log, or the swag mentioned in previous logs. Extended the search area and found the swag mentioned but again no container or log, and well over the 4 metres mentioned in the hint. Took the swag to leave in a cache large enough for it and left the replacement where I'm sure GZ was originally.
Thanks to lama-jeb for putting out this cache for me to replace (fingers crossed for the upgrade).

Walking with the geo-pup, busy park today. Read the previous note and was ready to replace the log and container...but tuns out Cows wth Guns not only found the log and didn't know it, but included a photo ))) . TFTC
An easy find after the long hill climb but there was no cache container at GZ. All the caches contents were under the rocks minus the container.
Thanks lama-jeb for the cache!
Thanks lama-jeb for the cache!
With an afternoon free on a public holiday, and some cooler weather, it was the perfect time to go for a walk. We decided to head down to Shepherds Hill, as there were plenty of solved caches there that were waiting to be found.
Like others, we found the contents of the cache and an empty container which should have contained the log. The little of the log that remains was unsignablem but sadly, we weren't carrying any paper to leave in there. TFTC

Nice view from Gz. No container as such but cache was well protected. Added to the menagerie. TFTC
Out this morning with FeatherWaite to find a few caches in the Shepherds Hill Recreation Park and Watiparinga Reserve areas.
The cache is a bit more than the stated distance from the track, but not too difficult to find once you see the obvious sign of something out of place amongst the long grass.
The container was missing its lid and the log sheet wasn’t in the best of condition, although it was still signable. It would really benefit from some maintenance from the CO.
Thanks lama-jeb for the cache.

Found during an early morning walk in Shepherds Hill Recreation Park with e.gregory1. Davidwazza's tracks were still fresh in the grass as we followed them round and round the bushes and off at various trajectories until one of them led us to the cache. Thanks for the cache lama-jeb!
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed out to Shepherds Hill Recreation Park for a mountain biking session prior to the scheduled *SPLAT #10 YEARS* geocaching event. We arrived a little later than anticipated, and only had a few short loops, before the event, but then rode the Grey Box Loop trail to finish off our riding. After a late lunch at Pasadena, I decided to head out to grab a couple of EarthCaches and a few other target geocaches, given the glorious day of weather and sunshine that we had.
We weren't sure what to make of this one, and this sneaky / high difficulty cache could have been quick, or quite lengthy. We started looking around when I spotted something a little suspicious, and we then found the various toys and swapables. Was this supposed to be the cache? Not exactly sneaky.
We looked a little further, and then [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) saw something that I had missed. Wow, this container would have been quite difficult back in the day. However, there is barely a usable logbook in this container, the logbook is quite damaged, and there is no lid to keep everything secure. I'm also not sure if this cache is the best one to have nearby swaps, as it sort of gives the location away. Conseuqently, there are a few issues to this cache that probably warrants a CO visit soon. Thanks lama-jeb for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/@jesswrigley stamp.

Found a whole bunch of swapables under a rock and not in a container?
Viewing previous photos I think someone has taken the clever cache and left everything behind?
Have taken a photo if required by the cache owner.

Went past earlier in the year, but couldn't fins. Successful on the second attempt. Don't think container is intact , log is wet and difficult to remove. Thanks!
Lucky guess while out on a torchlight jog. Not sure that the cache is quite intact any more though?
We went for a very long walk with the dogs and ticked off all the caches in the park. This was my favourite. Not easy to find but worth the effort. I couldn't sign the log as it was stuck inside. It's quite vulnerable to moisture. TFTC lama-jeb.
Log book is in bad shape and can't be signed, needs replacing and better waterproofing.
Now that was an impressive cache! A bit further off the path from the coordinates but in the same direction perpendicular. Revealed it by accident, gets a favourite from me. TFTC!
Thanks Lama-Jeb for hiding this cache. Great work on the container. The log sheet is a little worse for wear, but managed to get my name clearly on there. I agree with previous comments, it is around 16m from the path.
This took a long time, so many rocks were turned and finally one just seems to reveal itself and show the log book, woohoo! log book is soaked and stuck in the cache.
Today I set out to clean up around brown hill creek and find all the caches within close range, I soon realised I had a lot of the day left so continued on with Hawthorndene and then around Watiparinga Reserve. All in all 13km walked and 31 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

I had a golf game nearby planned today, so took the opportunity to see what nearby caches I might be able to stop for that would fill gaps on my Fizzy grid. This was one of them.
I parked at a train station nearby. The path I took led me alongside the train tracks. I’m not sure that I was supposed to be there, but there was no gate and there was a path that led me to the cache, so I guess it was okay. Unfortunately I didn’t find the cache at GZ. I had a reasonable search and while I don’t like to give up easily I didn’t have time to keep looking. The difficulty rating was definitely there for me today. I will have to return another time.

Now that is clever! Lucky find really when there are many possibilities to choose from. This was more like 12 metres from the path, so perhaps it has moved from it's original site.
What can I say... Wow! What a pearler of a hide!!
Favourite Point straight off the bat
I was smiling the whole time whilst SL
Re-hid in the exact spot it was found (LOVE this cache and it's construction, it Rules!!)
SL at 09:35 on the 1st day of Summer 2018
The cache and log within are in good and dry [^]

That is an absolute cracker. Love it. Added some more paper for log book whilst here. TFTC.
Looked and looked and looked , then looked further afield than my GPS indicated (it was an overcast morning) [B)].
A sneeky little hide that I suspect has rolled a bit further from the track than indicated .
TNLNSL. Replaced where found.
Thanks Lama-jeb.

I had enjoyed a good stroll up the hill to reach GZ.
Here I enjoyed a good poke around looking for the cache
Several minutes passed before I looked in the correct place

Found at 2:35 with Olga. Coordinates were spot on, but more than 4m from the path. We looked, we widened our search, we narrowed it again. Lovely hide
Clever hide. Love the cache. Log book has been wet and prob needs replacing. Signed it with ALC1982. Tftc
We were a bit fearful that we'd have to log a DNF on this one as we are usually quite hopeless with difficult to find caches. However, after a short amount of looking we found something out of the ordinary, although with container in sight. Then, not long after but some distance away we found something else that seemed to match our first find, and sure enough, a logbook was there Signed and replaced both in the second location. TNLNSL TFTC
dnf for me today. I dont doubt its there but only spent 10 mins looking. I'll be back when the grass isn't so long. nice views.
This was my third visit and today it was an easy find.
Not sure why but cache has been left upside down and the log is soaked and quite mushy.
Will need a check.

Alex-thesquirrel and Bek-theraccoon are merging accounts to become "Team Critter" so we're bringing our find lists together. Thanks for the cache
A quick stop off on our way back to the car after finding a couple of other caches in the park. This one was a sneaky little hide (especially in the dark) but the hint certainly helped. TFTC
Alex-thesquirrel needed a cache find for the day, and I had time up my sleeve, so we made our way down to Eden Hills. Under cover of darkness we made for the Bat Cache, which Alex had the key for so he could collect the find before moving the TB on. It's suffered a bit of creep since I found it a few years ago.
Since we still had a bit of time, we opted to continue on the main track as it doubles back on itself, and along the way I picked up this cache. Very sneaky, and it's in very good condition. Does need a new log, and unfortunately I didn't have one on me.
This was find number 1 of 1 for the night for me. TFTC lama-jeb!

With so many dnf's i hummed and harred about looking for this one but the search payed off with a smiley.
Log is a little dry and brittle but managed to leave our mark.

Sadly a DNF today Sat 28 Jan 2017 about Midday. This sounds like a cracking evil and tricky hide. Heat, snakes and prickles in dry grass turned me off, even though I persevered for about 5 mins. Really I just wanted to catch up with possibly the "Hottest Girl out walking.... EVER!!" lol TFT Challenge lama-jeb. I'm definitely having another go at this one on one cool day in the future.
One of a few DNF's on a loop around the park.
Gave it a good look for 15 minutes before giving up.
Gave it a good look for 15 minutes before giving up.
Geodad and I set out caching after tea and by the end of the night I'd managed 8 finds although there were 2 DNFs.
We had a great walk up and down some southern hills by torchlight as the stars and crescent moon shone above us
A later night than usual as our last cache find was about 11.15pm [)]
Considering today was the 5th anniversary of my first cache find, a late night could be justified as a celebration [^]
DNF! Second of our DNFs despite a serious search. Maybe some things just are better in daylight....but I'll never admit it!

We were doing a loop of the park as we needed a multi to get a souvenir this weekend. After completing that task we kept going on to this cache knowing that it was a tricky hide.
We had a bit of an idea what we were looking for so took our time and concentrated on looking for something that didn't quite belong. Ah, there it is! As the last finder said, the log is wet, so had difficulty signing. An extraction tool is needed for the log however it is likely that the log will tear and fall to pieces. Think it needs some attention. Worth doing for such a good hide. Definitely not your mint tin under a bush!
Thanks lama-Jeb

After posting a DNF last summer I was keen to get this one, and this time finally found it. The GPS coords were pretty well spot on and the hide was excellent - very tricky and well hidden - definitely worth a fav point. (This time I looked very carefully, as opposed to last time where not enough care was taken). Signed log
Out for a afternoons caching with Mattycat and Sebastbat, with half the park left to collect caches we planned a loop walk to collect, spent quite a bit of time here, read the hint a few logs then started a more intensive search which we were rewarded when the cat found the clever hide TFTC lama-jeb

Geo-daughter had a few hours of lectures at Flinders Uni. I had a few hours to stroll around the Shepherds Hill Recreation Park grabbing some smilies.
Happy to report that this cache is still undercover and in good condition. Took about 10 minutes to reveal the clever hide. Gets a fav point from me too. Thanks lama-jeb. Very well constructed.

Had 2 of us searching for 10 mins but couldn't find. Felt very snakey around GZ on a sunny day, and after getting scratched & bleeding from scrabbling in & around the prickly olive trees we got sick of it & moved on.
This was to be our last day in Adelaide, so Mr Parko had a look at the map and picked out some caches for us to find.
This certainly took some time to find and Mr Parko was ready to concede defeat on several occasions.
After about 40 mins of searching just about everywhere, we widened our search and Mrs Parko found the sneaky hide
Thanks for bringing us here lama-jeb

Wow what a cool cache.
Need to slow down, smell the roses and take in the view !

This was my second attempt so was glad to grab this cache. I wonder if it moves around the area a bit, I feel I should have found it last time! Another impressive lama-jeb cache worth a favourite point.
A nudge of the right thing with my geo-boot and the cache revealed itself. That's a good hide. And a nice view from GZ. TFTC.
TFTC found with Anymules and KiwiOzzie

AnyMules, Efo2000 and I put on our disguises and headed out to find this cache. AnyMules kicked the suspect who soon gave up the treasure
Found It!
This one took me a while. I knew what the hint was referring to but not how I was imagining it...
After unknowingly looking at the cache several times I happened to be at just the right angle to see something slightly out of place! A very neat hide!

Very tricky hide found only when we sat down to rest and something looked a little off found with mummy muggle and zoe the dog... We finally 'cracked' it
Amazingly I found this rather quickly, which surprised me! I knew what I was looking for from the clue. Spotted something that I probably wouldn't take any notice of if I wasn't caching. Loved it!! A favourite point from me. TFTC lama-jeb
This one took a while. The clue only made sense when I found it. Just how many people had to use there phone to figure a hint [?] Once you find the prize, just check the view. Even if you don't find it, you need to relax and suck in the view and oxygen.
Our thanks to lama-jeb and clear skies from TeamAstro..
Wow! I would never have found it without help. . I was walking around in circles for ages before I asked for help. Lots of effort went it to this one. Fav from me. Thanks for the walk.
