Three months without an update is not the news I wanted.

Was in the area and wondered if there was any news?

Laying out in the open. Gave it a bit of camo but the CO may want to check it. Found by our newest team member Jet TFTC

Thanks for the heads up! Indeed, the cache was a bit smashed up and the actual container was missing.
As this cache has already gone once before, I will re-consider the idea of this cache. Hopefully it will be back up soon!

An ingenious little hide, nice one! TFTC Wink

Thanks for the confirmation I wasn't inept first time round. Hidden well on plain sight

Indeed, the cache has gone missing but hopefully it will soon be replaced.

16-Jun-15
Lots of dog walkers but didn't stick out like the proverbial so will have to come back after a positive log.

07-Jun-15
Spent 1/2 hour with the kids but no luck, would love to know if it's still there

23-May-15
Tried for 20 minutes, read all the logs, tried to clear out mind... But no luck. We will be back!

After all the recent rain I decided a couple of local caches were in order rather than anything involving a bush bash, so headed up to Asquith to grab this one. The phone didn't really want to settle that well, and reading some past logs wasn't helping me too much either. In reality this took a lot longer than it should have before it was spotted, plain to see. Interesting camo, thanks geojo32.

Short detour on the way to Crosslands Reserve and this cache was easily found using asbestiforms co-ords. Much more difficult removing the lid to get at the log.

After parking we walked up the fence towards GZ, waiting for the GPS to warm up. On our way, I spotted what had to be the cache and soon had it logged. This is a really neat idea, but the colour does give it away a bit in such a barren area. Thanks for a great hide, we liked it.

Found on a clear day over a wet Easter. Pretty sneaky. Seen one similar on the northern beaches. Coods out by about 16m as pointed out by previous finders but eventually found. Good one!

Out with another muggle friend of mine to show him what geocaching is all about. I had no luck but he found it quickly! TFTC

20-Mar-15
First of two caches found mid-morning after working around the corner. No muggles on the sports field so I had time to wander around and nearly gave up before I spotted something that looked just a little out of place. Many thanks geojo32

Went with the other coords in a previous log. Found it lying in the open, so I signed & replaced it back where it had obviously come from. TFTC.

Find #: 1,076
Companions: None
Muggles: Walkers
Weather: Warm autumn morning
Cache condition: Good

I first tried to find this cache soon after it was hidden (oops, forgot to log the DNF), but only had limited time and was put off by the large number of evening walkers. Today I was working from home, and decided to start the day off on the right note. After dropping the kids off at school I drove the 3km north and parked nearby. There was a groundsman watering the middle of the field, and a lady walking around the field. I focused on a certain area as it seemed to match previous finders' experiences, but without any joy. After the walker's 3rd lap (she either didn't notice me or was too polite to ask) I called time, and then noticed something Interesting a little way from where I had been searching. I retrieved the container from its camo, signed the log, replaced everything then headed back home. TFTC

Great hide! Took a little while and a small wander but with some help from geokids and geodog treasure found!

08-Mar-15
We didn’t find this anywhere near where the GPSr originally took us but a set of coordinates posted by a previous finder helped put us in a better place and YGAT’s much younger eyes soon spotted something worthy of investigation.

Apart from the wayward coords this is a very nice hide. Thanks for the cache geojo32.

We had other ideas of what this might be but were proved quite wrong when I eventually found it. Nice camo, thanks geojo32.

Found with Mumma-Kel while being de-muggled. Catching up on logs now I'm a proper member. TFTC!

Passing by here en route home today, a friend who I was in the process of de-muggling in tow... We had a successful morning, and were freeway bound, when I realised there was a little green dot sitting here that I had missed on my last passing through this area. We pulled up and headed into the zone, and like others initially commenced our search up on the embankment where my device wanted me, but quickly realised we needed to be elsewhere according to the logs... Using Coords left by a previous Cacher we narrowed in on a spot on the fence, where funnily enough, there was a cut in the steel....convinced this was the cutting I was looking for, my friend continued to wander about looking for something that stood out in the area... And then I heard a slightly high pitched "oh" and I turned, knowing she had spotted the 'something out of place' - I know that slightly high pitched 'oh'

After taking the MTB out for a bash on the Quarry Track between Hornsby and Dural stopped in here on the way home for a break and to try again. Still having problems with GPS taking me up the slope so ended up moving to the south a bit as indicated in previous logs and then found the motivation to find this sneaky one. Signed the log and replaced. Thanks for placing!

PS...My coords over the cache averaged for 5 mins: 33 40.911, 151 06.516

06-Feb-15
Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 40.905 E 151° 06.514

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 40.905 E 151° 06.517

Distance from original: 15.6 feet or 4.8 meters.
After many people saying that the coordinates are off, I've verified them.

GPS had me on the slope and lacking mowtivation I left for another time

This one's close to home but I just hadn't got a round tuit yet. Found one today so headed down to the zone, only to find it wasn't in the GPS. No problem, spotted the odd one immediately for a quick sign and run. Thanks geojo32

2/2/14. 1:07 PM. Cache #2224. Streak day #225. The spoiler photo from cinerj certainly helped, and even narrowed down the likely altitude, but for the life of me I still couldn't spot it. Phoned a friend who confirmed the description and altitude that I had expected. After a bit more looking about, the colour stood out. I put it at about 7m south (decimal .909). TFTC }:)

On my way back from a visit to a fellow cacher who is laid up at present I thought I'd drop by for this one. I think I recall a cache on the other side of this park but not sure. I wandered GZ which moved according to my phone's whims at the time and soon I was looking at the hint hoping for enlightenment. Well I certainly misinterpreted that as I searched plenty of spots I didn't need to. Was at the point of moving on when I stumbled over/under/by it. Aha! Cache was all good considering the rain so I signed and replaced. Good one.

Thanks!

#1434 (4 of 6 today)

Decided to head up north for a few caches this afternoon.
Managed to find all of them, including avenging a previous DNF.
* * * END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION * * *
Arrived at GZ and given the area, started wondering where the hide could be. Then before really starting the search spotted something familiar - CIH.

Nice and sneaky - it all makes sense now. Have found a few of these in the past, and I remember I ignored the first one for a while even though I'd spotted it.

Completed signing duties and replaced. Camo seems nice and secure.

I spotted this one in about five seconds, as my reluctant geoson walked straight past it! It just didn't quite fit in...

My 20 minute search today just didn't cut it. I MOW-ped around afterwards too. Had some ideas but none that paid off. It was hot and there were muggled playing cricket on the nearby oval so l decided enough was enough. You have got me intrigued now though!

So I decided to work from home today and had just got off a video call when I hear an email come in. Check and it's a cache only 5kms from home.

I check the exact location and race out the door with my thongs on and phone at 7% charge.

I know the area a bit but not the exact location. As I get somewhere near I pull over to check directions. I'm literally 2 streets away - nice.

I get there at about 11:45, 17 mins after I got the email. Try to lock on to the location and see a general area.
Phone down to 5% already. Read the description and have a quick look at the hint. Go back to the compass and I'm at 4% - geez this app uses a lot of battery.

The hint doesn't really give me anything as I'm thinking about it the wrong way.

Keep on looking waiting for someone else to show up. A few cars drive past but luckily no one stops.

I look for about 10-15 mins and can't find it. Surely it can't be this hard. I stop and recompose.
I'm still here by myself.

Then all of sudden I notice something and realise I'm standing right near the cache.
Love the camo. I've never seen one like this before - so a fave point for that.

Take the log out and BINGO

FTF

Log signed at 12.03pm - exactly 35 mins after I got the email.

Found by Nanny and Bow on a hot friday early after noon.
A rather innovative cache.
We were just the second to find. Half an hour too late.
We signed the log.
we took nothing and left nothing.
Thanks very much for this excellent cache.
