Missing again. 3rd strike, time to go

07-Jan-19
[I have been very slack at logging lately. It is now 21-April-2019 as I write this, please forgive brevity and lack of detail....]

Spent a while failing to locate this one in the dark before calling for help.

Cache owner confirmed I was searching the right general area, but Yasmin did not reveal herself tonight in the dark.

Cache has since been archived, but I am only now catching up on logs.....

As a previous finder logged, had I gone down the obvious path, the path to gz would have appeared quicker than my clumsy bush bash. Found the cache easily enough and carefully extracted it. All is good with this cache. TFTC Orange Crew

Great camo Smile and a quiet and quick find

25-Feb-18
Well didn’t I take an unnecessary bush bash way in. Ducking and weaving and then I see a clearing ahead and all the way back to just down from where I parked my car! Oh well I finish the trudge and sign the log and take the nice easy back.

24-Feb-18
Lovely cache, left some swag in this one TFTC

Out with Muggle Jane who is working close by. No Yasmin today and no muggles so a nice walk to the cache. Grabbed the TB to set it on its way again. Thanks for the fun.

Wandered down the track too far, then remembered what the hint was and spotted a likely place to look and I had the cache in hand quite quickly. TFTC Orange Crew Smile

Nice and wreck rusty found it

11-Oct-17
I was on my way home and I decided to drop in on this beast.

Parking was a bit interesting - but I found a safe area. What an interesting bit of land in here. I was happy to see a nice muggle free path to travel on.

I soon arrived at GZ and after a bit of an examination of what was going on, I soon had the beast in hand. It was in good condition.

A nice peaceful find for the afternoon. No rock wallabies found today - yellow footed or otherwise Razz

25-Jun-17
Out with Mr & Mrs RoddyC and EchoCage1 for an afternoon of caching. I parked the car near the entrance and we strolled along the tracks. Lots of "interesting" things to see along the way. GZ was no different. A look here and a look there and Mrs RoddyC spotted the cache. Logbook signed, cache returned to its hiding spot and we were on our way again. TFTC

A rather rare visit to the lesser side of town with Echocage1 and Selva Girls.

Hmm Which one? That one. Nice stencil work Mr Orange. Visited a TB.

Log signed and replaced. Found at 1.40pm on 25th June 2017. TFTC, Orange Crew.

11/2/17, 8:14 pm Find #578
Our second for the night, second from this CO for the night, and second for my Feb caches. Gotta admit it feels kinda strange night caching when it's not an FTF, but with the weather the way it is at the moment it's much cooler now than during the day!

We parked the car over the road, grabbed our lights and headed in down, passing a toad once more. Then the compass suggested we had to go 30+ metres in there and I will admit both 1GiantPanda and I did hesitate, wondering if that really was advisable at night. But we donned our Brave Pants and looked for the best entrance and headed on in, without any troubles at all. And soon enough we made our find in the most likely of spots. We didn't spot Yasmin tonight, only a lowly toad, but we did get a nice yellow smilie, so the colour matched at least.
Thanks for the cache Orange Crew.

First find in a few years!

14-Jan-17
On a visit home to Brisbane went caching with Entrepenerds - he's been caching longer but I have a lot more finds. Lovely little trip around the local area and managed to double his caching total and show him some great examples of caches. Entrepenerds found this one and we headed on to the next GZ. Many thanks.

I had been out for a cruise around the Shiny series not too far away. This popped up on the radar as I drove home.

A short stroll along one of the wallaby trails. Wink GPSr suffered some nasty bounce, so I bounced along after it trying to narrow down GZ.

Did not take long to eliminate some prospects and find the real one. Wink

A nice short walk in a damp forest. Mozzies of course but we enjoyed the walk and went further in to explore.

I am attempting to compete a challenge to find a cache hidden on every day of the year. When I knew I was coming to Narangba to visit friends today I looked up the last few dates I needed and this was one. So we made a small detour and quick little walk in. TFTC

12-Jun-16
Found it quickly , while on the way to the movies at Northlakes

06-Jun-16
Mr Just a Trifle was out and about doing a few errands but he made a quick detour to pick up a cache for the day. While walking down the fenceline he noticed a tick, tick, tick, sound and on looking around, noticed the electric fence and managed to see a dead snake nearby which appeared to have been electrocuted in the nearby sub-station.

Ground zero was easily located and with our name added to the log book, he continued on his way to complete his errands.

Thank you Orange Crew for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

What a great lil cache this one is. Gps was spot on and led me straight to it. I followed a track for the first part then diverted off when told too. Didnt see any wallabies, and this helps me out with a few challenges. Inside was a little damp and log a lil bit damp too, but still able to write on. I dropped off tb. TFTC Orange Crew

Easy one here - no wallabies though Sad

Found it 10th cache today woohoo

20-Feb-16
Last one I needed for the February challenge. After parking nearby I found an easy path I could most of the way. Closer to GZ I found a trail I could follow. After a bit of bounce I manage to locate an obvious hiding spot. All found in good order!

Thanks for the cache!

15-Feb-16
Tftc! Quick fun find.

13-Feb-16
We were out and about finding some caches for the monthly challenge and found this one in the drizzling rain! Not enough to put us off caching though!
A quick easy find after we avoided some spiderwebs.

13-Feb-16

# 1282 - Wombles and co and I thought it was time to do something different today, so we made a plan to attempt the "spelling February" challenge since it's the right month for it. Big Grin I hardly had any caches for it yet, so the list was long and varied. Of course you don't leave caches unfound if they happen to be near and thus we went home with a few more smileys than necessary. Smile

Strange how you sometimes can't picture a cache when you log it a day later... I've been there, logged it on my GPS, took a photo and... the rest is blank! Sorry Orange Crew. Next time I will have a better story for you. Wink

Oh, one positive note: I've got the Y for my challenge cache!

Must say, thoroughly enjoyed this one. GZ was a pleasant walk and was far enough away that it can't draw muggle attention. Unfortunately didn't see any wallabies.

Y in januarY

Thanks of bringing us here.

12-Jan-16
Quick easy find . Using this cache for the january challenge.

08-Jan-16
On a day trip north of the big smoke we saw this was a 'Y' needed for the January Challenge and also was close to the highway. So it was a quick exit, drive to parking near GZ and then a not so quick find. There seems to be quite a few of what are hinted at and I think we tried them all in the vicinity of GZ until we finally hit the jackpot. Thanks Orange Crew for this cache and others you have placed that add to the enjoyment of our hobby for us and others. Glad we got this one as we had no time for others today. Cheers and happy caching! [^][^]

Had dropped the kids off with the in laws but had some time before work so decided to grab a few caches. This was number 6.
Wasn't really dressed for bush bashing but I'm here so away I go stomping all the way.
Great co-ords lead to an easy find.
Grabbed geo coin.
Didn't see any wallabies just their poo.

Due to family commitments, we had one week without geocaching. So today we went out to get some more smilies, accompanied by my Lone Reindeer, Colorado and Harry Hamster with Ellie Elefant.

Yasmin was driving us a little bit mad .... we looked for quite a while, but yeah: finally found it!

A quick find to us light footed folk! Big Grin

Joined up with Gunnie69 to go forth and find us 25 different D/T combinations in the one day! Sounds easy doesn't it! We decided go the north side of town as that offered us the best combinations, as they were the furthest from our respective homes! Big Grin

Thanks Orange Crew for the efforts of putting out the cache and making it an enjoyable day! Big Grin

08-Aug-15
The GPS bounce had Ghostgums and I all over the place at GZ and we were following the many paths of previous hunters... We found an obvious scribbly, but no cache anywhere near. I spotted another gum in the distance but couldn't see the scribbles and ignored it as an option. As I moved around and widened the search, Ghostgums headed to the gum I had ignored and pulled the container from its lair... Oops... Red Face

He sorted business out and added our names to the log, before tucking the cache back. All done, we headed off and reappeared back in the real world.

Cheers Orange Crew.

19-Jul-15
19/7/15 Today Marina25, Zardecoh and I headed out with the mission to get the Unique D/T Challenge cache (as we had completed this challenge). We managed to find this cache and the surrounding ones in good time so decided to grab another cache that would help towards another challenge. We arrived at GZ easily and not long after we heard the happy cry of victory. The cache was found and the log was signed. TFTC and our 599th find, Orange Crew

This was a nice little distraction on my way home and I appreciated being able to stretch my legs a bit in this swampy bush. When this was published I wondered how many boxes it ticks for some of the Challenges in SEQ! Thanks Orange Crew, nice hide.

I needed a Y to be part of my spelling bee and this cache happened to be very close to the path I was travelling today. Almost too good to be true.

I parked just off the road and followed the path. It seems that the paths have recently been cleared which made getting close to GZ quite easy. The last 20m were a very careful walk as I didn't want to disturb any sleeping joe-blakes.

I hoped and prayed that the cache was not buried in the pine needles and headed for the nearest cache friendly feature. Thank heavens.

No. 522

A lovely, sunny Saturday in Autumn is perfect weather to catch a cache. This one was the closest cache with a title starting with Y, thereby satisfying the criteria for a certain challenge that we're working on.

Thanks for the cache Orange Crew. All is safe and well and the cache is stocked with swappable items.

1567 - I needed to grab a cache beginning with the letter "Y" for my May challenge a few kilometres south of here. All of the caches beginning with "Y" were either found by me or to the south of CBD except for this one. So today on my way home from Bribie Island I made a small detour to find this one. Found easily enough after a short walk along a track and then through the bush at 6:46pm. Thanks for the cache and for helping out my May Challenge Orange Crew.

I was heading up to Burpengary today to meet up with Dutchie1950 to do the Beatles Trail and I saw this one on my map.

Since it fills a hole in 2 challenges I'm working on naturally I had to stop and grab it on my way. The GPS had me a bit all over the place but eventually I found it. Then I somehow took a longer way out than I'd taken coming in!
