This morning Mrs Woodyrothwell had made herself a shake for breakfast. Its some sort of protein powder/weight loss shakes and she made me taste it. It was the most horrendous thing I have put my lips to.I can see why they advertise it as weight loss shake because once you taste it you never want to drink or eat ever again. tftc
Out doing a loop ride north from Nanango to round up a few caches. Bit over 40 km with 21 caches along the way. I did do a few km along the highway along the way. However there is a nice wide edge to the highway and most vehicles gave me a wide berth.Green irrigated crops are a start difference to the earlier part of the ride.
Quick find on a big day of caching.
Find number 66 with my target of 70 seeming achievable

Quick find while camped up at the Broadwater Reserve. A lovely afternoon to be out finding some caches. TFTC
Stopping in Nanango for a couple of days, no need to rush to QOGM 22. Got into the caravan park early and set off for some caches. Some caches were damp, but understandably after the amount of rain the area has had. Great containers John and easily with standing the natural elements. Only one DNF on todays adventure.

A lovely caching run this morning around the country roads in this beautiful area. This was a big one of those hints with a big container. All good with the cache log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Youngoldfella for placing these caches for us to find.
This cache certainly fulfilled the COs intentions as it distracted me from my intended path…
I did wonder where all the traffic suddenly appeared from as I tried to cross the road…

Day 2 of our trip around Nanango and district geocaching. I would have loved to have seen this tree in it's glory when it was alive and not just a stump. Quick find. TFTC. 44 smiles.
TFTC. We are in Nanago for a few days before heading to Maryborough on Friday. We arrived just after lunch and set up camp at the showgrounds. We then settled on a direction to head to find as many caches as possible in the couple of hours before it got dark. A great couple of hours with 21 finds and only 1 DNF. Despite the rain the dirt roads were in good condition. High grass, so glad we were playing today and not in the height of summer. Thanks YOF for the adventure.
Tftc Youngoldfella, we are here in Nanango for a few days, will head down this road a bit and see what we find.

Had a fab adventure with Ms Maddy today and over the last few days in her efforts to reach a special milestone at the mega. Much appreciated was the hospitality of YOF and his lovely wife at the end of the day. Out this way we found some very durable caches, a small fluffy animal, some swans, cows, dogs, awesome views and rolling fields, surprisingly a lot of cars heading out on their own adventures, the best bakeries in the country ofcourse and a whole lot of laughter. I am not sure how many we picked up but it was over 50. I really appreciated the work put into the large number of caches at Nanango. I am sorry about the generic logs. and a huge Tftc
The marathon caching run continues and lucky to have Miss Direction’s company for this adventure. There were new places to explore and took pics of black swans and cattle, startled a small furry critter at a cache, ran to some, stumbled to others, drank coffee, peered under and over and around things, scored a few itchy bites, and replaced a couple of missing hides. A fab day out Apols for the generic logs as a few to log tonight.

Our annual big day out in the Burnett region was planned for today, with a truckload of caches found around Cooyar, Yarraman, Maidenwell, Nanango and points between. Wow, isn't this just a big unmissable stump. Hope nobody ever gets distracted and drives their car into it, I know who would win that fight!

The cache was found easily enough but extraction was a bit more difficult. The cache had been replaced upside down with no lid in sight and contents spread further into the depth. After much fiddling with tongs, sticks and gaffer tape we recovered a log and a couple of trinkets but no lid. It now has a lid of gaffer tape but needs a new one. TFTC
Replaced with a length of 100mm PVC storm water pipe. Log only. Bring your own writing stick. All good to go.

Out and about on a day of caching adventures, seeking Hidden Creatures and getting a few smilies . After a very early and foggy start to the day we arrived in Nanango for a quick stop to stretch the legs and acquire some sustenance for the day ahead. We then travelled up hills, down dales and all over the local country lanes bouncing over pot holes and swimming through a few boggy patches.
We scrambled through long grass, poked our hands into all manner of hidey holes and found all the caches in good order, where they were supposed to be. Logs were signed and everything was returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for a most enjoyable day and for bringing us to a new place to explore. TNLNSL TFTC .

Today's caches have mostly come to us courtesy of youngoldfella. We decided to go as far as Nanango and cache along the way. Each of the found logs had our name added before we moved on and each was replaced as it had been found. Many thanks go to youngoldfella for adding to our caching experience by placing so many caches around the Nanango district.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Heading back to town we decided to stop off here and grab this one. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
I have found this one before but decided to drop the last of the TBs in my possession here...WWII Heros.
We are heading toward a milestone event, so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to achieve a few milestones all at once. To manage this however, we have found ourselves on a roadtrip which would provide us with an abundance of caches ... perfect for our requirements.
Fortunately, all the caches we found today seemed to be pretty straight forward and we managed to add our name to the log book without any difficulty.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

A great day of caching with beautiful weather and glorious scenery. Lots of different cache hides and containers. We got to see so many interesting things while we travelled around. We found this cache after a short search - nice one. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Captain Terror and I had been looking forward to this weekend for quite some time. We had driven up last night and after failing to sleep in this morning we decided to grab a bunch of geocaches before the event.
This was the ninth cache for the day and the easiest find for me. I woke up alone in the Subaru and spotted Captain Terror holding the container. By the time I had taken off my seatbelt and started getting out of the car the container was rehidden and he was coming back. Now, I feel that since it was my car that got us there with fuel I paid for and my pen he signed our names with that I deserve the smiley too Thanks for the cache Youngoldfella.

Last night Net88 and I drove up to Nanango to begin our long weekend for Nanango's First Event. Arriving later than anticipated, then putting up the tent meant an exceedingly early night by our standards. Then, when the sun came up and it was bright in the tent at around 04:30 we had no choice but to get up and begin the day. With a few hours between breakfast and the event starting, we chose to go geocaching, of course. So many to find so we targeted by size, prioritising Large containers, then any regulars in between - which made for a most enjoyable and productive morning.
It was a full 8 minute drive from the last geocache to this one. Possibly the longest leg of our early morning geocaching trip, but not a long one by any means. However, in that time, Net managed to fall asleep. Wide awake at the last geocache to completely passed out 2 minutes later. This left me grooving along to Carly Rae Jepsen on my own and when we pulled up at this spot, after not the smoothest nor the slowest drive ever, she was still asleep, so I hopped out to find the geocache on my own.
Then she woke up alone in a car on a dirt road somewhere and presumably got scared. Meanwhile in geocache sity I had found the container in one of the biggest stumps I've seen in a while. As per every other youngoldfella geocache ever, it was a handsome container in great condition. Replaced as found. Now back to the car to see how confused little Nettles is Thanks for this geocache and the laugh, youngoldfella

What a fantastic tree this stump must have belonged to, we wonder what happen? Was it cut down due to the road being built, or was it possibility storm damage. While in Nanango we don't go pass stump without wondering if it will become a potential cache site. SL TFTC
This is a great spot for a geocache and a great indication to me that my arms must be shorter than most. I nearly had to give up as I had so much trouble reaching this one. In the end, after I finally managed to reach it by making quite the fool of myself, yes, you can laugh, we used some CITO to prop it underneath as we couldn't find anything produced by mother nature to do the job. Thanks for the challenge at this one youngoldfella. I might hang from some beams for a while and try to stretch my arms, lol. Cheers! [^][^]

Happy International Geocaching Day!
This was a nice quick find whilst we were out on our assault of Nanango!
About today:
It was decided by Fairy Mother and I that we wanted to get out and do some Geocaching for this celebratory day and also do it in a place that we really enjoy hunting. That place was out west in Nanango. An area that we have both enjoyed hunting from the moment we started Geocaching.
The day was just perfect for it. There was a crispness to the air, the sky was a stunning blue and the company was, as always, perfect. All of this added to what was a pleasant day of laid back hunting.
This time we decided that we would both meet up in Nanango to save on time (allowing for more caching time!). The two and a bit hour drive out just flew by for me today. Being taken on a ride by the GPS, I went via a few fun dirt roads to get here and grab a sneaky cache or two along the way.
Thanks for the Geocache youngoldfella.

Holy moly, I thought I was going to lose my 5yo son in this stump. He insisted that it was his turn 'to find it'. So up he climbed onto the stumped, then stuck his head in, then his arms, then the rest of him nearly fell all the way in before I grabbed him by the leg. He thought it was great fun. Coming out laughing but with no cache in hand.
It was then his big sister's turn. She saw what had just happened to her brother so she was more cautious. Nope, she could not reach it either.
So in I go for a try. Thank goodness no one drove past because there wouldn't have been a pretty sight.
Fantastic cache and lots of fun.
Thank you

Well you know how tall I am.
Headed to this one and saw how far it was down.
Stepped up on stump and leaned down into stump to grab cache. Head disappearing into stump and out I came with the cache.

He would have to retrieve me then as I would be stuck.
Signed the log and gently placed the cache back in hide.

Spending a few days up in the Kingaroy and Nanango districts and places closeby from my place in Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found, I have decided to do a generic log. To all the CO's, a big thank you for bringing us to your area and the many varied caches we found. Thank you for bringing us along the country road. TFTC
Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
Wow...this would have been an impressive specimen. Bit of a stretch required...glad I am not short. TFTC.
That would have been quite a specimen in its day. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, youngoldfella.
I'm glad DisSister was with me for this one as I'm a bit scared of what can take up residence in spots like this. Quite an impressive tree this was in its day, though! There was a pair of surveyors further down the road- glad they hadn't set up closer to the cache. TFTC, youngoldfella. =^.^=
Luckily the surveyor was surveying the other direction so we went undetected on our search. Cache safe and well. Thanks youngoldfella.
