At first I parked up and Mrs Woodyrothwell ran over to look for the cache. I could see hadnt come up with anything so I too ran across the highway to join her. That was for nought because I couldnt see anything either. We both went back to the car and then read the most recent log that said the hide was found on the ground. With that in mind, my wife went back over for another look and when I saw her bending over I knew she had snaffled it. tftc
TFTC youngoldfella your cache STRIPES - at the T that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. This was our first overnight stop. After setting up we headed for a short caching run. Another blue face converted to a smiley.Find Count: 17226 .
Out doing a loop ride north from Nanango to round up a few caches. Bit over 40 km with 21 caches along the way. I did do a few km along the highway along the way. However there is a nice wide edge to the highway and most vehicles gave me a wide berth. My GPS had me going to every sign here
Quick find on a big day of caching.
Find number 65 with my target of 70 seeming achievable

Stopping in Nanango for a couple of days, no need to rush to QOGM 22. Got into the caravan park early and set off for some caches. Some caches were damp, but understandably after the amount of rain the area has had. Great containers John and easily with standing the natural elements. Only one DNF on todays adventure.

Up early this morning & off to find the FTF unleashed by Team JLBL & like all those preceding us ?????? no luck finding this one!!! But we aren’t claiming an DNF, just accepting partial frustration.
?????? & I looked for what seemed forever unmolested by muggles at 8:30am in the morning.
So leaving that location we had more success down the road at the challenge caches ?????? and then off to Tiaro & onward to our main hunting ground in the Kilkivan area.
Starting our day before the sun came up, we finished it a couple of hours prior to the sun coming up the next day, Simply because a FTF opportunity came up just after we arrived home & had started to relax. So at Midnight we set off for a bicycle ride along the gateway to finally claim a FTF for the day?? or was that for tomorrow???
Don’t care!!! Going home to sleep ?? sleep ?? ?? ??.

No tennis today so the next best thing to do is to go geocaching with friends Peppa and TMZ59. Decided to chase down caches for a few challenges we have been working on on this road trip.
Parked on the corner away from the traffic and Peppa did the honours of retrieval for this one.
Found on 2 June 2022 at 11.48am. TFTC, youngoldfella.

A lovely caching run this morning around the country roads in this beautiful area. We knew where this one would be hiding from the name. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Youngoldfella for placing these caches for us to find.
This cache is one of the reasons I was so late getting home… I just couldn’t drive past this group of three… a quick find between passing muggles…

Ha ha. The name is perfect. Didn't understand the name until driving towards GZ when I said, I know where it is. Quick find to being our daily total to 43. TFTC.
Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
Despite the 2 previous DNFs we decided to stop for a look. Noting the hint there only seemed one obvious place to search. Despite me carrying the extra weight of the Covid Lockdown paunch I have been cultivating, Dez volunteered her knee as a stepping stone for me to inspect the higher reaches of the structure. We worked our way along the structure, pausing between passing traffic. As we reached the opposite end, it was fortunate that Dez was in the kneeling position as, there on the ground in front of her, hidden in the long grass, was the cache that had obviously fallen from its perch. Glad the team was able to rescue this way and place it back in to play after stamping The Bromance team stamp in the logbook. TFTC

Cache #2 this morning. No bending and didn't have to put my proper shoes on yet (holiday life). Cool container. TFTC.
Quick trip home from Gladstone. Won't be such a quick trip if I keep caching. Thanks for the reason to have a break. TFTC

On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.

Had a fab adventure with Ms Maddy today and over the last few days in her efforts to reach a special milestone at the mega. Much appreciated was the hospitality of YOF and his lovely wife at the end of the day. Out this way we found some very durable caches, a small fluffy animal, some swans, cows, dogs, awesome views and rolling fields, surprisingly a lot of cars heading out on their own adventures, the best bakeries in the country ofcourse and a whole lot of laughter. I am not sure how many we picked up but it was over 50. I really appreciated the work put into the large number of caches at Nanango. I am sorry about the generic logs. and a huge Tftc
The marathon caching run continues and lucky to have Miss Direction’s company for this adventure. There were new places to explore and took pics of black swans and cattle, startled a small furry critter at a cache, ran to some, stumbled to others, drank coffee, peered under and over and around things, scored a few itchy bites, and replaced a couple of missing hides. A fab day out Apols for the generic logs as a few to log tonight.

Our annual big day out in the Burnett region was planned for today, with a truckload of caches found around Cooyar, Yarraman, Maidenwell, Nanango and points between.
Super quick find here, tried not to stand beside the highway for too long, just in case!

Found with bennyboppers mnance01 and jemillalucy today. Was looking in the wrong direction at first. Tftc
This one wasn't on the to do list for the day, but after finishing our list we wanted to hit 50 caches. Parked to see if anything was near and what do you know not even five metres in front of us was this one! Sneaky hide!
Out for the day with Kale of ranibaskale so we can find some hidden creatures and have a bit of an adventure. This was one of the caches we found today! Thanks for the cache, youngoldfella!
I hitched a ride with caro from Jess & Caro today and we went north to find a bunch of caches. They were great and I had fun. Thanks!
A little chilly start to the morning ready to find some caches enjoyed the hides signed log and returned container. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
Out and about on a day of caching adventures, seeking Hidden Creatures and getting a few smilies . After a very early and foggy start to the day we arrived in Nanango for a quick stop to stretch the legs and acquire some sustenance for the day ahead. We then travelled up hills, down dales and all over the local country lanes bouncing over pot holes and swimming through a few boggy patches.
We scrambled through long grass, poked our hands into all manner of hidey holes and found all the caches in good order, where they were supposed to be. Logs were signed and everything was returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for a most enjoyable day and for bringing us to a new place to explore. TNLNSL TFTC .

Another quick drive by cache chosen randomly as we moseyed south. Found yesterday afternoon with offroadcaveman. Thanks youngoldfella for the necessitating of a pit stop.
Today's caches have mostly come to us courtesy of youngoldfella. We decided to go as far as Nanango and cache along the way. Each of the found logs had our name added before we moved on and each was replaced as it had been found. Many thanks go to youngoldfella for adding to our caching experience by placing so many caches around the Nanango district.
Quick and easy find here, I was sure I knew where to find it but very unsure if I would be able to reach it, mission Accomplished and log signed then cache replaced where found. TFTC
Name says it really. We parked safely opposite in pull off area & Geohubby ran across on his own. We were off to a slow start but feel like we're earning our racing stripes now. Tftc youngoldfella xo
Decided to spend a few days camping in Nanango with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to go out and find some of the caches hidden in this beautiful part of QLD.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Always a little tricky grabbing these ones but luckily the highway was quieter than expected today. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.
another day of our touring through QLD. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches that break the monotony of travelling, and adding to our list of smileys.
Last one for the day and making it no 61 for today. These Stripes are a cute idea. TFTC
Went out and checked and found the clip seal bag on the ground and the log and it was not able to be used any more. this one has fallen to the muggle. REPLACED. All good to go again.
On our way back to Brisbane from my parent's farm near Mundubbera, my daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151 and myself decided to do a few caches. TFTC!
After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Was almost arrested by the Queensland Finest while signing the log, A Police car drove past then promptly did a u-turn and pulled up behind Two policemen jumped out and wanted to know what I was doing behind the sign, I replied just GeoCaching the younger one smiled and said good luck have a good day. Thanks for bringing me here
A great day of caching with beautiful weather and glorious scenery. Lots of different cache hides and containers. We got to see so many interesting things while we travelled around. We found this cache after a short search - nice one. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
We choose to park down the side road and walked up to this one. Once at GZ we spotted a closer possible parking spot. Cache is in good condition. SL TFTC
I did enjoy many caches with STRIPES in their name this week. Also saw quite a few more locations where caches may appear in this series in the future, lol. Was glad to find this one and add our signature to the logbook. Thanks for the fun we are having finding your geocaches youngoldfella. And, for the countryside we are visiting in your neck of the woods. Cheers! [^][^]

Happy International Geocaching Day!
We found this cache on the ground as soon as we got to GZ. Looks like he may have jumped from his hiding spot. He has been returned home though he is a little damp, he should dry out okay. If not, a new log may be required
About today:
It was decided by Fairy Mother and I that we wanted to get out and do some Geocaching for this celebratory day and also do it in a place that we really enjoy hunting. That place was out west in Nanango. An area that we have both enjoyed hunting from the moment we started Geocaching.
The day was just perfect for it. There was a crispness to the air, the sky was a stunning blue and the company was, as always, perfect. All of this added to what was a pleasant day of laid back hunting.
This time we decided that we would both meet up in Nanango to save on time (allowing for more caching time!). The two and a bit hour drive out just flew by for me today. Being taken on a ride by the GPS, I went via a few fun dirt roads to get here and grab a sneaky cache or two along the way.
Thanks for the Geocache youngoldfella.

I also just noticed that this Geocache was my 1,400 !
What a awesome area to obtain it in and with great company.
Thank you for all the Geocaches youngoldfella that you have placed, these have helped me to get to this number... It would be a good 100+ I am guessing!

Isn't it amazing how caches can be put in places that are passed by thousands of cars a day and never be seen?!
Parked close to gz (which is always important to me when caching with kids on busy roads).
Log is very dry though a bit ripped and faded. Still enough writing space left though.
Thank you for such great after school/work fun!
