This afternoon Mrs Woodyrothwell and I decided we would pop in on a South Burnett winery. We werent holding much hope but their Semillon was amazing. I didnt know it was possible to make this good a drop on Queensland. We were driving from Kingaroy so my wife took the chance to grab a quick nana nap. She was definitely nana-ed out because she didnt even wake up when I stopped the the car to jump and grab the hide. tftc
After a long morning drive to attend a nearby event, we headed towards the Bunya mountains to tick off a couple of older caches. Along the way i spied a couple of close to the road caches.I asked the driver to pull into this land, and there was a couple of cachers already signing the log sheet. Great timing. We passed the cache between us and i signed and returned to where i was told. Thanks very much for the cache placement youngoldfella. I assume you have quite a few logs received today. Thanks for what you have contributed to our game. Cheers
nice quick findcar comes around the corner as we are signing and slowsthink we saw that car at the event ... yephi ... would you like this
12:02:00 PM. A quick park and grab. Log signed. No visit to the winery for us today. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
While staying at Murgon we ventured out to BP Dam way and picked up a few caches tftc YOF
Our last day of caching, home tomorrow, planning our next breakout. An overcast day with interminent sunny patches. Most of the caches were damp, and we were going to replace, however there is another rain storm due to pass through in the bnext couple of days. Some of the containers are missing the rubber seal, letting water/condensation into the container. Drained containers and aired logs for about 10 min.

Enjoyed my caching in this area today, all green, nice warm days, no wriggly sticks, thanks to the cache owners.
Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
We were now headed towards our accommodation for the night in Goomeri so stopped as we passed by. Unexpectedly, I was actually familiar with the relevance of the cache name, as I have a client who was an initial investor when the surrounding businesses were established. Logbook stamped with The Bromance team stamp. TFTC

Quick find while on our way around visiting the wineries. Great addition to our day. Thank you.
Out and about caching north of Kingaroy, where I was staying for 9 days, doing a house-sit. Travelling around the countryside stopping here and there to find various caches in different locations. Logs signed and cache placed back where found. TFTC
Doing the loop drive of Wondai, Murgon, Goomeri and BP Dam, while staying in Kingaroy, and collecting a variety of caches along the way as well as an AL. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment as well as showing us around your region.
We are having a few days in Goomeri picking up some caches and this is one we found. We enjoyed driving around the lovely country roads. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
Another day caching from Goomeri while up from the Sunny Coast. Parked up close to the cache for a quick find. TFTC youngoldfella
Heading up to Kilkivan to attend the annual event, which we've become quite find of over the last few years.
Instead of taking the boring highway route, we're heading out through Nanango and stopping here and there to make some finds along the way of ones we've missed previously or that have been published since our last visit.

Had a fab adventure with Ms Maddy today and over the last few days in her efforts to reach a special milestone at the mega. Much appreciated was the hospitality of YOF and his lovely wife at the end of the day. Out this way we found some very durable caches, a small fluffy animal, some swans, cows, dogs, awesome views and rolling fields, surprisingly a lot of cars heading out on their own adventures, the best bakeries in the country ofcourse and a whole lot of laughter. I am not sure how many we picked up but it was over 50. I really appreciated the work put into the large number of caches at Nanango. I am sorry about the generic logs. and a huge Tftc
The marathon caching run continues and lucky to have Miss Direction’s company for this adventure. There were new places to explore and took pics of black swans and cattle, startled a small furry critter at a cache, ran to some, stumbled to others, drank coffee, peered under and over and around things, scored a few itchy bites, and replaced a couple of missing hides. A fab day out Apols for the generic logs as a few to log tonight.

This week-end Caro (from Jess & Caro) & myself teamed up for a few days of geocaching up this way. [^]
Today's geocaching drive started at Moore and finished at Murgon. We did detour into Nanango for lunch as well.
I found a total of 23 caches for the day and Caro found a few more than that.
All finds were found quickly and generally in good condition.
I grabbed the TB from this cache.
Thanks for the caches.

Heading up north to enjoy the car's aircon in the hot Aussie countryside this Australia Day weekend and to dash out every now and then and find some caches along the way.
Brother Colin can drive when I need a cold beverage, hehehe. That may be quite soon, seeing how hot this day has gotten!
This was one of a total of 37 finds for me today, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable Australia Day.

We are heading toward a milestone event, so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to achieve a few milestones all at once. To manage this however, we have found ourselves on a roadtrip which would provide us with an abundance of caches ... perfect for our requirements.
Fortunately, all the caches we found today seemed to be pretty straight forward and we managed to add our name to the log book without any difficulty.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

This was the second day of caching in Nanango for Captain Terror and I. We had come up for Nanango's first event and this morning we were out caching with Bulldozer72. This was the nineteenth cache for the day for me. Bulldozer tried to get us quite close to this one as we knew where it was from the car. Unfortunately the Captain's arms couldn't reach so he got out and grabbed the cache. We added our names to the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
Sometime between late yesterday afternoon and this morning, Net88 and I decided to have the morning out with bulldozer72 grabbing whichever geocaches took our fancy on a circuit drive from where we were all camped in Nanango to Kingaroy, onto Murgon, then back to Nanango. Along the way I grabbed twenty finds, we visited a bunch of interesting locations, had a tasty picnic lunch at Bjelke-Petersen Dam and had a few laughs. What more could you want?
It would seem this geocache can be grabbed without getting out of your car seat. Or so a few photos posted to facebook say. Strange though that none of those photos have made it to the geocache page though. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Although, we did try the exact same thing. We turned off the main drag into Clovely (or is it C-Lovely) Lane and let the GPSr count us in. The likely hide was spotted and Bulldozer at the wheel tried to get as close as possible at the last moment. My arms weren't quite long enough and the car didn't quite have enough traction so sadly and most inconveniently, I got out.
Naturally it was a quick find and in good condition here. Logbook signed, then replaced and back in the car. It's not very often a geocache is this much of a driveby. It was certainly good for a chuckle for us today. Thanks for this geocache, youngoldfella

A great day of caching with beautiful weather and glorious scenery. We managed to meet up with the splendid Sss - Stacevel, *SuzySquirrel* and Spinna76 and our joint caching activity added to our pleasure of the day. We got a bit sidetracked at a winery near the dam when an very necessary stop was made "to spend a penny" and resulted in wine tasting and leaving with a box under our arm. Nice to be able to make these sorts of stops as well as geocaching. We found this cache after a short search - nice one. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Out and about with one half of The Drovers from the South Burnett to Gympie areas for a couple of days caching. We found a variety of caches and containers along the way and plenty of different hides to keep us on our toes along the way and this was one of them.

Had a marvellous day out caching today whilst our new solar panels were put on the van roof. We followed a cache trail all the way to Murgon. Had great fish and chips for lunch from the "Snack Shack", sat in the park across the road to eat. Then we drove over to Cherbourg to have a look at the "Ration Shed" Museum. From there back to Nanango to collect the finished van. We wouldn't have seen any of these places if it hadn't been for geocaching. So we thank you heaps for the caches and fun

Myself, Sweet and Midnight had a stall at the Kingaroy Show over the weekend. After packing up at 1330 on Sunday, we had some time while heading home to find some caches.
Having met some of the scouts at the show, I felt it only proper to find a couple of their caches before heading out of town.
An easy find, lots of 4 legged muggles in the paddock next to the cache, a 100 eyes staring at you.
Midnight took no notice of them, but did find a pothole full of clean water for a well deserved drink.
All with the cache and out last for the trip, old sol is going to bed and lights out in 20 minutes. Off home for a well deserved hot shower.
TFTC youngoldfella really enjoyed finding some more of your caches, had to leave the others for the next trip.

Great to find a cache of this size. It was well protected by a Redback!
This cache was found at 10:48 on 19 April 2015 and is #1219 for my ever growing geo:map.
It was also part of a Geocaching bush adventure that I shared with Fairy Mother today.
When deciding where to go hunting, it is always a struggle trying to find somewhere that one has not been... Well, upon looking at the map it was decided that a place once visited, was calling out for our return. That area being the now heavily cached-up and beloved Nanango.
Thank you for the cache youngoldfella!
