Didnt find it

30-Oct-16
Went over to Kingaroy to check on this one and it has been muggled. There is evidence of people being at GZ and the geo trails are very obvious. I will replace this one with a new one much further along the road where the local youth do not hide in the trees.

16-Oct-16
Coordinates changed from:
S 26° 31.646 E 151° 49.588

Coordinates changed to:
S 26° 31.646 E 151° 49.586

Distance from original: 11.1 feet or 3.4 meters.
Only a very slight change as the container was never missing and cache creep has occured.

15-Oct-16
Found both of them

15-Oct-16
I found both the old and new caches. the old one is 6m south of the new one

15-Oct-16
As I could not find the original container I replaced it but now I know why I had trouble in locating it. Cache creep. Everything back to the original placement. Have Fun. I suggest you do not go behind the tree close to the fence but come straight in from the road. you will find how the tree material will part to allow you access to the cache.

05-Oct-16

Went to visit this one and I could not find it. the vines are groing well at the moment and there is a lot of natural tree debris in amongst the six trunks. I have replaced the container in between the four main trunks at the base of where the four join.. Not far off the ground 90mm maybe. The oringinal container may still be there but I was not going to pry through all those prickly viners ooking for it. Have fun.l Be careful. You should not have to part the vines and if you watch where you walk will not get a spoine in your skin. I did'nt.

Our only DNF for today, out of 69 caches looked for. Too many sharp barbs. Not sure on which trees to try. Not prepared to tackle farmer joes hot wire. Oh well, maybe next time.

Cheers

#7783 Cache Found

After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.

Thanks for the great cache and adventure youngoldfellaSmileSmile

Nice to see around Kingaroy when caching. Tftc

When you punch in one wrong number in the coordinates of course you are going to waste a lot of time looking in the wrong spot. That's what happened to us here. Once we realised our mistake we headed off a couple of hundred metres back down the road and even then this one took a bit of finding. We spent too long searching in the wrong place and the cache was eventually located nearby but in a place that we thought didn't fit the clue as well as where we had been. The cache smelt a little musty but the log book was quite dry. Thanks.

It's now solidly dark and I hunted and hunted being caught in a few cobwebs which made me start to feel creepy in the dark when I couldn't see where the spider was, lol. I must be getting tired because I just couldn't find this one. I was probably standing on it. It's one I will have to come back for another time. Obviously it is there safe and sound as others are finding it. Sorry youngoldfella Sad

This was the second day of caching in Nanango for Captain Terror and I. We had come up for Nanango's first event and this morning we were out caching with Bulldozer72. This was the tenth cache for the day for me. Well... at GZ there definitely were a lot of roofs to view. We were making our way back to Nanango.. slowly.. by going further away from Nanango.

We pulled up in Bulldozer's Ute and Captain Terror jumped out to make the easy find. With our names added into the logbook and the container replaced it was time to head further away from Nanango and towards Nanango... that makes sense... right? Thanks for the cache Youngoldfella

06-Dec-15
Sometime between late yesterday afternoon and this morning, Net88 and I decided to have the morning out with bulldozer72 grabbing whichever geocaches took our fancy on a circuit drive from Nanango to Kingaroy, onto Murgon, then back to Nanango. Along the way I grabbed twenty finds, we visited a bunch of interesting locations, had a tasty picnic lunch at Bjelke-Petersen Dam and had a few laughs. What more could you want?

From this geocache, as you'd expect there was views of.. more than one roof! Which would be 'roofs'. Or 'rooves'? Nope, apparently it is 'roofs', 'rooves' being an older version hardly used anymore - or so says Mr. Google. But why then do donkeys have 'hooves' or, also perfectly acceptable, 'hoofs'? At least more than one proof is 'proofs'. 'Prooves' looks like a child's misspelling of the present verb 'proves'. Then of course the plural for 'woof' is simply 'barking'.

Now that I have that cleared up.. I think.. do I? Whatever, moving on. This is a log for a geocache not a stream of conciousness in Grade 8 English. Let's get started, shall we?

This was basically the last geocache in Kingaroy itself we were after before we headed farther north (note I didn't spell it 'further'). Bulldozer managed to park us on the right side of the road about as close to GZ as one could want. With the views out to the east to stare at, the geocache was quickly found, retrieved after a few prickles, then the logbook tickled with a pen. All in good condition in another great container. Thanks for this geocache, youngoldfella Smile

Focusing on finding the cache the name of the hide did not seem to make any sense at first. Only after signing the log to the obvious answer stare me straight in the face. TFTC

04-Dec-15
Well, sometimes all you see is the roof or two! But we did manage to find this cache eventually - it wasn't quite where our GPSrs took us though. Otherwise, all in good order.

Found at 6.20pm on 4th December 2015, TFTC.

02-Dec-15
We are heading to Nanango's first event and even though it is not till Saturday we thought we would stop along the way and the get the caches that often get missed followed by the comment we will do that one, one day. Last night we stayed in Murgon and tonight we are at the showgrounds in Kingaroy. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice hide. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.

Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.

Out in the area for a long weekend of RnR.
With some new caches in the area we were set for a few days of caching in this hot weather.

Travelled down the country road enjoying what this area has to offer.

The recent rain had certainly made the area nice & green.

After a rest at our accomodation we decided to head out & grab the only cache in town we still had not collected.

The farmer was rounding up his sheep as we arrived so stealth was needed.

A quick find & log signed off.
A few cars flew past but none checking on what we were doing.

All fixed. Container has bee dried out and i have added packets of water absorbing crystals. Moisture from condensation only not water actually entering the container. Everything is now double bagged. Have fun.

30-Jan-15
It is a lot different driving around here now. Much greener than the last time I was this way. Smile

There is a good view of town from here and certainly lots of roofs to see. (should that be rooves? English is a nonsensical language. [:o)])

Another nice easy one to keep us moving along. Big Grin

30-Jan-15
Road tripping with teamdfl again Big Grin It's Brisbane to Nanango or bust today! (With a little side jaunt to Kingaroy as well Wink) 2.5 hours driving each way, with 48 finds for me, including 2 Letterboxes, 2 multis and 2 puzzles. A grand day out indeed [^]

Lunch has been and done, so time to grab a few caches in Kingaroy. An odd spot to stop, but yep, we could see views of roofs. And, ouch! Spikey plants!!! It was a very cautious extraction here. TFTC, youngoldfella.
