Once again we were amazed to see that these hides had not been visited in over a year. This road leads straight to the highway and is hardly an effort to get to.In the middle of our drive we found a few caches that had had more recent visits so there is either another way in or people are cherry-picking their finds. We were having too much fun to think about picking cherries.
Out doing a loop ride north from Nanango to round up a few caches. Bit over 40 km with 21 caches along the way. I did do a few km along the highway along the way. However there is a nice wide edge to the highway and most vehicles gave me a wide berth.Easy access from paddock side
A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…
A great day driving the country roads collecting a variety of caches…
A nice quick find…
Thanks youngoldfella

Found this one about 8 m north of our GZ. Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Two TASSIES still out and about, but turned the corner and heading for home. First day out from Hervey Bay, and "camped" at a rather "unusual" caravan/motorhome park to say the least ! A little sortie this afternoon unfortunately DID NOT yield this cache, and even though there was a "road closed" sign we followed a set of fresh wheel tracks on a solid gravel surface and no mud. At GZ despite a serious search which left the place looking like a mob of macropods had slept all day in the area, no suspect devices were sighted. Probably cache blindness.
A lovely morning driving around these country roads picking up some smileys and this is one we found. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for another one youngoldfella.

Found the easy way after coming from the hard way.
Just gotta make it more difficult for myself, don't i.
I guess technically it's a tree still. Horizontal, that's all. And a bit hollow.
Cheers yof for creating this little loche series.

Caching by night by torchlight adds a different spin to geocaching. Especially the bugs coming at you for the light of your headtorch. Um, a different experience. A nice easy find. TFTC. no. 53
TFTC. We are in Nanago for a few days before heading to Maryborough on Friday. We arrived just after lunch and set up camp at the showgrounds. We then settled on a direction to head to find as many caches as possible in the couple of hours before it got dark. A great couple of hours with 21 finds and only 1 DNF. Despite the rain the dirt roads were in good condition. High grass, so glad we were playing today and not in the height of summer. Thanks YOF for the adventure.
Tftc youngoldfella, we are here in Nanango for a few days, will head down this road a bit and see what we find .
Grass is almost head high here.

My husband and I are staying at nanango for a couple of days and this afternoon i dropped him off at the races and I'm off finding some caches. Love this country rd. Coords spot on as usual
A lot of work for a bulldozerhere recently, but atleast I could get around the fence side without fighting through fallen logs. Mrs George found it again. TFTC,YOF.
Again, what did I write on site using the app? memory has faded. It's a pity I'm not looking for caches for the unloved challenge as most of these would qualify, being more than 6 months since last found! But just signed the log and departed. TFTC, Youngoldfella.
I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
Caching with Oddiewan, Moneydork, Flash_Cat, BitternA4 and others at the New Year event in Kilkivan. Exploring the area caching style and as always lots of laughs when enjoying time with friends.
Day after the 2019-2020 New Years catch up.
Caching our way home to Brisbane
Caching buddies for this trip are Semik, Money Dork, Flashcat and BitternA4.

On our way south after the QOGM event Blackall, grabbing a few caches on the way. We visited your cache at 8:55 am Logs signed Coongoola or CG. Thanks for placing this cache youngoldfella
Broke my ankle in the process but log book signed and cache returned. TFTC
Left out in open could spot from road. No swaps but log new. Guess muggles stumbled on it? Hid a little more inside.

As soon as the weather improves and the road edge is stable I will go out and check this one. Looks like a victim of a recent fire.
Out caching for the weekend with the Tough Mother’s (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers, and Lisylou). TFTC!
A little chilly start to the morning ready to find some caches enjoyed the hides signed log and returned container. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
Out and about on a day of caching adventures, seeking Hidden Creatures and getting a few smilies . After a very early and foggy start to the day we arrived in Nanango for a quick stop to stretch the legs and acquire some sustenance for the day ahead. We then travelled up hills, down dales and all over the local country lanes bouncing over pot holes and swimming through a few boggy patches.
We scrambled through long grass, poked our hands into all manner of hidey holes and found all the caches in good order, where they were supposed to be. Logs were signed and everything was returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for a most enjoyable day and for bringing us to a new place to explore. TNLNSL TFTC .

Today's caching hunt was brought to us courtesy of youngoldfella, with his extensive list of caches in and around Nanango. We have had another busy day selecting from the menu on offer and have had a lot of fun.
Apologies for the generic log but that's the way it has to be for us. Each found cache had our name put on its log before it was replaced as it had been found. Thanks, youngoldfella, for the variety of containers and hide types. We only wish we had more time to continue working on your caches.

Decided to spend a few days camping in Nanango with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to go out and find some of the caches hidden in this beautiful part of QLD.

I parked nearby and made a super quick find and sign at this one. Thanks for this cache, youngoldfella!
Quite a few of the caches along here had what appeared to be geotrails that lead me astray. Most were found quite quickly despite my usual cache blindness.
Lovely country drive after being on the busy Hyway. Another cache find.

Another quick find on Locke Lane. Weed spray guys have found this one but just left their calling card which was good of them.

Pulling the geomobile up we made a quick find here...
And got a giggle out of discovering that the weed sprayer people have visited the cache and left a business card inside.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Spoilt for choice it was difficult to decide on where to cache today. We decided on a small loop before lunch then a longer list for the afternoon.
We were impressed with the quality of the cache locations and containers here in Nanango. Very happy with our total of 42 finds with only 2 DNF's add to that 1 cache that muggles were hanging around even though we tried twice today. Think we will retry that on Monday when schools in.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.

Found by The Noodler after much swinging about of the GPS needle due to the trees.
After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Captain Terror and I had been looking forward to this weekend for quite some time. We had driven up last night and after failing to sleep in this morning we decided to grab a bunch of geocaches before the event.
This was the eleventh cache for the day and we still hadn't found a cache smaller than a regular! We pulled up at this cache and again had no trouble finding the container exactly at the coordinates supplied. We signed our names in the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache Youngoldfella

After a fantastic day at the Nanango event, Genyo and I found this cache without much hassle. TFTC!
A short drive from our previous find, this cache was a quick find for Genyo and myself. TFTC!
Found with Tassiegirl while out here for this weekend's event.
It's great getting out in the bush and finding caches around places like this.
These types of cache runs let you see a lot more of the area than just what's beside the highway to the next town.

Last night Net88 and I drove up to Nanango to begin our long weekend for Nanango's First Event. Arriving later than anticipated, then putting up the tent meant an exceedingly early night by our standards. Then, when the sun came up and it was bright in the tent at around 04:30 we had no choice but to get up and begin the day. With a few hours between breakfast and the event starting, we chose to go geocaching, of course. So many to find so we targeted by size, prioritising Large containers, then any regulars in between - which made for a most enjoyable and productive morning.
This was a pretty quick and uneventful find for us this morning. Although it stands as testament to youngoldfella that we managed seventeen Large and regular finds in such a short few hours this morning. Shows how decent the hide quality AND quantity is in the South Burnett. Up a little further up the road for this one, parked close and quickly found the container according to the hint and co-ordinates. About as straight forward as you could expect really. Again in good condition, signed and replaced. Lovely. thanks for this geocache, youngoldfella
