Mrs Woodyrothwell was tucking into some early lunch as we drove around. Her lunch was a beetroot sandwich. You might want to know what other delicious condiments were on that sandwich. There werent any.It could have been the most disgusting thing I have heard of and visibly it looked like the kind of sandwich that only a vampire could enjoy. I have to kiss that mouth. tftc
TFTC Found by my geo-munchkin MissCharlieBear with AmazingGracieGrace; however it was a micro size. Log sheet was full, however I signed it. And being such a good hide, I have replaced geocache with a small-regular size container filled with SWAG & new logbook. Original log sheet inside plastic baggie within new logbook baggie.Keeping this GC alive!!
A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…

Two old Tassies having another go at a few caches not too far out, fitting them in between other necessities for the day. Got a fair string this arvo. including this one which if I remember correctly is much smaller than 90mm plumbing fittings now. Thanks for many of today's finds youngoldfella.
Gotta love these great sized caches. More power to you John!
Rain put a bit of a dampener on today's plans literally, but in the morning it allowed us to do a bit of housekeeping and minor repairs.
After lunch from the pizza place in town we decided to head out and dodge the showers and see what we could find. Our early efforts where stymied when Loche Lane was closed, but we moved around to some others. When finished here we thought we would push our luck and head out to Nanago Brooklands Rd and a few caches that are along there. That was a great decision as there was some really good caching along that section.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

After a couple of days cycling in the area it was time to head home. However there is more than one way home and more than one way to travel the back roads.
Spent a very enjoyable day ambling back to Linville (not on the BVRT) . Some beautiful country through here as well.
I'll take this road over the Mountain any day.

I backtracked a km up the road to get this one. Seeing as how i went around it at the corner ahead, figured it'd be a crime to leave it unloved.
An easy find of a cute little thing at gz.
What's a two km pedalling detour on a days outing anyway.
Cheers youngoldfella !

Wow, back down the other end of Mt Stanley this time. Wow, these regular caches are getting smaller and smaller. Funny! We are on day 2 of a weekend caching Nanango. We are having a ball collecting these caches. No. 23 this one was. TFTC
Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
Although this cache was not actually one of our intended targets today, some miscommunication in numbering found us stopping here for a search. No problems locating the cache and the logbook stamped with The Bromance team stamp. TFTC

TFTC. We are in Nanago for a few days before heading to Maryborough on Friday. We arrived just after lunch and set up camp at the showgrounds. We then settled on a direction to head to find as many caches as possible in the couple of hours before it got dark. A great couple of hours with 21 finds and only 1 DNF. Despite the rain the dirt roads were in good condition. High grass, so glad we were playing today and not in the height of summer. Thanks YOF for the adventure.
My husband and I are staying at nanango for a couple of days and this afternoon i dropped him off at the races and I'm off finding some caches. Love this country rd. Nice to have some rain out here today. At gz I used my geosenses and bingo. Thankyou for all the fun
Found while on a drive around Nanango on the last day of the rally. A quick find. TFTC.
I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
Day after the 2019-2020 New Years catch up.

Out and about on a day of caching adventures, seeking Hidden Creatures and getting a few smilies . After a very early and foggy start to the day we arrived in Nanango for a quick stop to stretch the legs and acquire some sustenance for the day ahead. We then travelled up hills, down dales and all over the local country lanes bouncing over pot holes and swimming through a few boggy patches.
We scrambled through long grass, poked our hands into all manner of hidey holes and found all the caches in good order, where they were supposed to be. Logs were signed and everything was returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for a most enjoyable day and for bringing us to a new place to explore. TNLNSL TFTC .

Today's caching hunt was brought to us courtesy of youngoldfella, with his extensive list of caches in and around Nanango. We have had another busy day selecting from the menu on offer and have had a lot of fun.
Apologies for the generic log but that's the way it has to be for us. Each found cache had our name put on its log before it was replaced as it had been found. Thanks, youngoldfella, for the variety of containers and hide types. We only wish we had more time to continue working on your caches.

Up North today today finding some caches I've purposely left for a day like this. With my thermos filled and tunes pumping, I set off.
I was watched closely by a lovely herd of cows as I found this one. Beats being watched by a snake! Thanks for the cache, youngoldfella!

Another one that tricked me. I was also concerned at first because the stump had seen some recent road works. On closer inspection it also looks like a pretty new stump.
Checked the GPSr and move a few metres to a better looking stump.
The first car to pass on my side went by as I was at this one.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We had an interesting drive along Mount Stanley Road in the i30 and we only found a few places which required careful placement to avoid the deep ruts The cache was located easily enough and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Spoilt for choice it was difficult to decide on where to cache today. We decided on a small loop before lunch then a longer list for the afternoon.
We were impressed with the quality of the cache locations and containers here in Nanango. Very happy with our total of 42 finds with only 2 DNF's add to that 1 cache that muggles were hanging around even though we tried twice today. Think we will retry that on Monday when schools in.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.
another day of our touring through QLD. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches that break the monotony of travelling, and adding to our list of smileys.
Decided to go for a drive today with the GeoWife and clean up a few green icons along the way. Plenty of fun finds and great caches. Thank you for placing the caches to be found. Tftc
Found safe and sound. Now back to the highway home. Thanks for this series Youngold fellow. Enjoyed the back roads. TFTC.
After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.

Captain Terror and I had been looking forward to this weekend for quite some time. We had driven up last night and after failing to sleep in this morning we decided to grab a bunch of geocaches before the event.
This was the seventeenth cache for the day and the last one this morning before the event. We drove past GZ but quickly noticed so we pulled over and headed back to GZ. The cache was found quickly and soon had two more names in the logbook. Off to the event! Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.

Last night Net88 and I drove up to Nanango to begin our long weekend for Nanango's First Event. Arriving later than anticipated, then putting up the tent meant an exceedingly early night by our standards. Then, when the sun came up and it was bright in the tent at around 04:30 we had no choice but to get up and begin the day. With a few hours between breakfast and the event starting, we chose to go geocaching, of course. So many to find so we targeted by size, prioritising Large containers, then any regulars in between - which made for a most enjoyable and productive morning.
And so, after a few hours in the early morning this was our last and seventeenth find before heading to the event to help set up. I was scooting us up the road and darn nearly drove past the Goal Zone. I left the car without reversing and we legged it back to the co-ordinates. A quick find on what felt like a driveway, but it was well disguised from any muggles. Another quick signature and we're done here. That's all the Mount Stanley Road and indeed geocaching we have time for today. Thanks for our great morning out, youngoldfella

Saturday. Slow Puncture took off early to fuel up Blue Thunder for our excellent day out at Youngoldfella's "Nanango's First Event" event. We had a hassle-free drive from Burpengary to Nanango, particularly enjoying the part of the trip from Blackbutt onwards, as we had not been past there in a long time.
Please pardon our generic log, but this is the only way we will ever get them recorded This cache, like all of the ones one our trip, was found in good order, and with lots of recent logs from cachers well known to us!
This was the 12th of 36 caches found on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]youngoldfella[/Blue], for showing us this place.

Such a great series along a great country road in the vicinity of Nanango. So many great caches to find and so many roads to explore. Loved finding these caches today. Thanks so much youngoldfella for getting the series organized, making and painting the containers, for filling them with swag, log books and pens, and for all the time in placing them, getting the co-ords right, and submitting all the information for each cache. Your time has been appreciated and the cache finding enjoyed. Cheers! [^][^]
