Wow! Just over two years since this cache had been found and it is still in perfect nick. I didnt know that was possible although the cache container is resilient.I wonder how many sleepless nights this cache has had waiting to be found. I have a sleepless night when I havent drunk a bottle of wine so I felt for it. tftc
Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Tftc YOF, day out from Nanango today to collect a few caches that we missed out on last time we were in the area
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
A lovely morning driving around these country roads picking up some smileys and this is one we found. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Beautiful out here this morning! Thanks for another one youngoldfella.
After a couple of days cycling in the area it was time to head home. However there is more than one way home and more than one way to travel the back roads.
Spent a very enjoyable day ambling back to Linville (not on the BVRT) . Some beautiful country through here as well.
Here i was thinking it was downhill to me destination.

I made the detour on the tredley out to these three caches before turning back for eclipse. This, the furtherest out, was only one point two km one way, it was a nice day (ok it was cloudy and pseudo raining) a nice quiet road, albeit a bit rutted and corrugated in parts, and a herd of cows were chilling on the corner and amused them as i passed.
Something you don't see everyday at gz. No snakes sighted today, big goanna though. Lotta cows. Some kangaroos on loche and one really angry magpie... in a pear tree?
Thanks for taking me out here with a geocache. So curious whats further.

All is quiet out on these roads today. We have them to ourselves. Another quick find on a calm and peaceful day. Loving this area so much. Day 2 and our 11th find. TFTC.
Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
We had enjoyed our drive along the back roads in this area last time so we made sure to head back here on this visit, with the added bonus of some unlovedness on offer. This cache was soon found safe and well with The Bromance team stamp added to the logbook. TFTC

Today's caching hunt was brought to us courtesy of youngoldfella, with his extensive list of caches in and around Nanango. We have had another busy day selecting from the menu on offer and have had a lot of fun.
Apologies for the generic log but that's the way it has to be for us. Each found cache had our name put on its log before it was replaced as it had been found. Thanks, youngoldfella, for the variety of containers and hide types. We only wish we had more time to continue working on your caches.

This one took a little while, we couldn't get the GPS to settle & walked around in circles until geohubby made the find. This place felt a bit eerie, it was so quiet, but trees rustling & cool breeze made it feel unnerving. Geohubby insisted it was all in geomums mind, she knows he was right. Tnsl tftc youngoldfella xo
We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We had an interesting drive along Mount Stanley Road in the i30 and we only found a few places which required careful placement to avoid the deep ruts The cache was located easily enough and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Spoilt for choice it was difficult to decide on where to cache today. We decided on a small loop before lunch then a longer list for the afternoon.
We were impressed with the quality of the cache locations and containers here in Nanango. Very happy with our total of 42 finds with only 2 DNF's add to that 1 cache that muggles were hanging around even though we tried twice today. Think we will retry that on Monday when schools in.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.
Dropping a Wooden Geocoin that has an interesting log history...seems there is one floating around in Oz as well as Europe...it was grabbed off me and I have had to grab it back to drop it. So there is a high probability it won't be listed in this cache by the time the next finder comes along.

After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure youngoldfella

1964, Mick Jagger was fined £32 in Liverpool for driving without insurance and breaking the speed limit. His solicitor explained that Jagger was on 'an errand of mercy', driving to see two fans injured in a car crash.

Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.

Saturday. Slow Puncture took off early to fuel up Blue Thunder for our excellent day out at Youngoldfella's "Nanango's First Event" event. We had a hassle-free drive from Burpengary to Nanango, particularly enjoying the part of the trip from Blackbutt onwards, as we had not been past there in a long time.
Please pardon our generic log, but this is the only way we will ever get them recorded This cache, like all of the ones one our trip, was found in good order, and with lots of recent logs from cachers well known to us!
This was the 18th of 36 caches found on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]youngoldfella[/Blue], for showing us this place.

Having left Eidsvold this morning at 8am with the aim of picking up a few caches towards Nanango on the way back to Brisbane, we had covered 41 caches when we came across this group. They were not on our original plan for the day, but popped up on the phones when signal was active. Decision time: how far out do we go? We decide to bite the bullet and do the whole lot along Mount Stanley Road and Locke Lane - 16 of them in all, and we have only an hours sunlight left. Can we do it? With a weak signal, it took a while to off-line them all, then off we set. The drive was pleasant and the caches were all in good order. We finished them all by the fading light of dusk with a great sigh of relief and sense of satisfaction. This one was found at 4.50pm on 30th August 215. TFTC.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.

Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.

This cache was found at 16:35 on 19 April 2015 and is another find for my ever growing geo:map.
It was also part of a Geocaching bush adventure that I shared with Fairy Mother today.
When deciding where to go hunting, it is always a struggle trying to find somewhere that one has not been... Well, upon looking at the map it was decided that a place once visited, was calling out for our return. That area being the now heavily cached-up and beloved Nanango.
Thank you for the cache youngoldfella!

And right on cue the heavens opened up and down came a heavy shower

I parked up the hill where I could get off the road a bit & walked back when I could see a ute heading towards me. The driver slowed down & asked if I was ok. Explained what I was doing & thanked him for his concern. He was intrigued about my hobby so I invited him on the hunt as had yet to look for the cache. We tracked it down, I signed the log & he asked where he could get more info. I removed the cache note & gave it to him, outlining the difference between the two & pointing out the relevant one. Pretty certain no more muggles will "find" the cache. We introduced each other & when I mentioned this was the last & I was heading back to Bull Camp Rd he pointed out I could drive ahead which would be much shorter. Thanked him & away we went. Thanks

When Guddink put the call out for a weekend in Nanango I was immediately keen - I have fond memories of this area from my childhood and I had also heard about the awesome caches here. I roped in my trusty caching buddy, Lost 2 Found, and with campsites booked we were all ready for a weekend of caching.
The final one for this road before a UTurn so we can continue the loop. A quick stop to photograph a beautiful tree and off we went.

Our main target area was Nanango but a few stray caches here & there all add to the growing smilie map.
Still problems with the signal. I SOOO need to get my GPSr up & running ASAP!
Stumbled around for a little while checking possible cache locations & came up with the prize!

Travelled down the country road enjoying what this area has to offer.
The recent rain had certainly made the area nice & green.
Cache was quickly found & log signed.

We packed a picnic lunch and made an early start, planning to pick up the caches around Nanango, that have popped up since we were last here.We always enjoy coming to this area and it was nice to see the countryside so green. The caches were all in good condition and well stocked with swaps. Most of the finds were quick finds, but a couple had us looking for a while. Thanks Youngoldfella for all your effort placing the caches. We will be back again to do the multis as we ran out of time.
