How can these dirt roads be in such amazing shape? If it had been over a year since these hides were found I thought it would be difficult to get out here yet it wasnt. In fact during the whole weekend we hadnt come across a dirt road that was rutted out. Either the graters are worth their weight in gold or there is actually gold in the dirt keeping it level. tftc
Mints hold up well in dry conditions.Out doing a loop ride north from Nanango to round up a few caches. Bit over 40 km with 21 caches along the way. I did do a few km along the highway along the way. However there is a nice wide edge to the highway and most vehicles gave me a wide berth.
A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…
A great day driving the country roads collecting a variety of caches…

Two old Tassies having another go at a few caches not too far out, fitting them in between other necessities for the day. Got a fair string this arvo. including this one but its all we have time for. So thanks for giving us a good reason to tolerate/experience our so-called caravan/RV park (which can only be described as very sad) for three nights.
Tftc YOF, day out from Nanango today to collect a few caches that we missed out on last time we were in the area
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
A lovely morning driving around these country roads picking up some smileys and this is one we found. The log is wet but able to be signed and replaced as found. Thanks for another one youngoldfella.
This one has certainly been swapped out at some point in time as this sort of container I can't expect YOF to use. Anyway, been a while and everyone is now logging this so we did too. Smile no. 27. Ticking them off slowly. TFTC
Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
We had enjoyed our drive along the back roads in this area last time so we made sure to head back here on this visit. Another successful find here with The Bromance team stamp added to the logbook . TFTC

WillPunkey, Scoob and I out to take advantage of the ability to drive further from home and abs to get out of the house and do some caching.
On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.
If the container is small we may sign as CG.
Lots of thanks to youngoldfella for placing the cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Our annual big day out in the Burnett region was planned for today, with a truckload of caches found around Cooyar, Yarraman, Maidenwell, Nanango and points between. Hitting the Bullcamp Rd to pick up the remainder of a series we started some time ago, in fact I believe it was after youngoldfella's 2015 Nanago's First Event.

Weekend away with Benny boppers, Lisylou and Mnance101. Lovely day for a drive
Out caching for the weekend with the Tough Mother’s (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers, and Lisylou). TFTC!
Today's caches have mostly come to us courtesy of youngoldfella. We decided to go as far as Nanango and cache along the way. Each of the found logs had our name added before we moved on and each was replaced as it had been found. Many thanks go to youngoldfella for adding to our caching experience by placing so many caches around the Nanango district.
After a bike ride over Mt Stanley, I decided to take a detour on the drive home to find some caches to help get me to an upcoming milestone. I continued north and found some caches on the road over to Nanango then began the long drive home. Thanks for placing these
Heading up north to enjoy the car's aircon in the hot Aussie countryside this Australia Day weekend and to dash out every now and then and find some caches along the way.
Brother Colin can drive when I need a cold beverage, hehehe. That may be quite soon, seeing how hot this day has already gotten!
This was one of a total of 37 finds for me today, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable Australia Day.
Thanks for the cache!

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Spoilt for choice it was difficult to decide on where to cache today. We decided on a small loop before lunch then a longer list for the afternoon.
We were impressed with the quality of the cache locations and containers here in Nanango. Very happy with our total of 42 finds with only 2 DNF's add to that 1 cache that muggles were hanging around even though we tried twice today. Think we will retry that on Monday when schools in.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
Went oput to check after the DNF log and yes the tree that this was in has been removed. I have replaced the cache a little closer to the road. Have fun.

After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Found with Tassiegirl while out here for this weekend's event.

Happy to have been able to attend the nearby event and then off along the dirt roads with Nature0Nut to log a few caches and soak up the scenery
The flora seemed to be greener along this stretch and lots of tiny wildflowers. We spotted a huge goanna waddling across the road at one spot.

After attending Nanango's first event, Ms Maddy and I happily went caching into what seemed like the wilderness. I absolutely adored the scenery! Thank you so much for bringing us here youngoldfella! This was a nice and easy find. TFTC!
Reading my cache notes of the description of a cache and where I found it is becoming hard with the list getting longer and space getting shorter and my writing becoming more squeezed up and crowded. Just thought I'd let you know that, lol. Thanks for this great series youngoldfella. It's been a busy day geocaching on my own today and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for all the work placing these caches for us to enjoy. This was fortunately a nice quick find. Cheers! [^][^]

We actually stopped to find this one twice. Couldn't find it on the first visit - thought it must have been destroyed in the recent fire.
But after visiting the last two caches along this road, we decided to check again on the way home, just in case.
Thank goodness we did - found it in a not-so-bushy tree.

Happy International Geocaching Day!
Oh, no... From the hint I could tell this was not going to be a cache for I. And guess what, it wasn't. The find was done by Fairy Mother... I looks like this type of hide and I are never going to be friends!
About today:
It was decided by Fairy Mother and I that we wanted to get out and do some Geocaching for this celebratory day and also do it in a place that we really enjoy hunting. That place was out west in Nanango. An area that we have both enjoyed hunting from the moment we started Geocaching.
The day was just perfect for it. There was a crispness to the air, the sky was a stunning blue and the company was, as always, perfect. All of this added to what was a pleasant day of laid back hunting.
This time we decided that we would both meet up in Nanango to save on time (allowing for more caching time!). The two and a bit hour drive out just flew by for me today. Being taken on a ride by the GPS, I went via a few fun dirt roads to get here and grab a sneaky cache or two along the way.
Thanks for the Geocache youngoldfella.

Spending a few days up in the Kingaroy and Nanango districts and places closeby from my place in Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found, I have decided to do a generic log. To all the CO's, a big thank you for bringing us to your area and the many varied caches we found. Thank you for bringing us along the country road, Bullcamp Road. TFTC
Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
The cache maker was with us for all of our finds today, but my computer is being real slow, so I will log his finds another day when I have more time, and hopefully the computer is not misbehaving
thanks for the cache

Ha! Reading the descriptions as I log and realise today would have been a lot simpler had I read them onsite. Approached GZ and were guessing where the cache might be according to the hint. Wandered over to a potential spot only to have that quickly rejected. Turned around and hello! There it is. Was very fortunate to approach from the right angle or we would have been there a lot longer. Thanks youngoldfella.
Lovely area to be out caching in, and really nice generous caches, and well looked after, thanks youngoldfella, it's a beautiful day for caching today TFTC
