We knew that it had been a bit of time in between drinks for some of these caches and we were thirsty. I definitely wasnt going to be shouting these caches a beer because no doubt it could be some time before they appear at the bar again.The best part is that these caches are designed to survive the elements and will happily be there waiting for you. Maybe they will return the shout one day. tftc

Out doing a loop ride north from Nanango to round up a few caches. Bit over 40 km with 21 caches along the way. I did do a few km along the highway along the way. However there is a nice wide edge to the highway and most vehicles gave me a wide berth.Breeze picking up now after a very overcast start to the day.

A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…

I may have gotten out of the car without Geepers and then wondered where the item referenced in the hint was… oh… it’s over there on the other side of the road…

This was the first, and not the last, spot a local stopped to make sure I was ok…

A lovely caching run this morning around the country roads in this beautiful area. It was very quiet along this road today We wandered over to GZ and spotted the container which seems to have been tampered with as the side is missing and the bag appears to have been chewed. We signed the log and replaced it as we found it. Thanks Youngoldfella for placing these caches for us to to find.

I made a detour at the crossroads down to this cache then back today, pretty much just to find them all in the area.
It was dark clouds threatening rain here, but thankfully all that came down was a light patter for a minute while i was on the hunt here.
With no luck in the hint item i ventured further afield and saw a random plastic toy on the ground. Then another, then a broken cache, then an instructions and then a half eaten ziplock bag. It was so weird, like following the trail of crumbs.
I guess some animal likes plastic?
I gathered it all back together, wrote my name on the back of the instructions (somehow it was still dry), put it all in upside down and put some wood over the hint. Sorry i didn't have any containers/ziplock bags/logbooks/silica gels to add to any caches that needed it. I'll have to add some for every trip in future.

Geez it is hot today and also so dusty and dry. Glad we are not out here cycling or walking. Quite a luxury going around by vehicle. Nice quick find to bring us up to no. 31 on our 2nd day of fun. TFTC.

Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!

Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.

Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.

We had enjoyed our drive along the back roads in this area last time so we made sure to head back here on this visit. Another successful find here with The Bromance team stamp added to the logbook . TFTC

TFTC. We are in Nanago for a few days before heading to Maryborough on Friday. We arrived just after lunch and set up camp at the showgrounds. We then settled on a direction to head to find as many caches as possible in the couple of hours before it got dark. A great couple of hours with 21 finds and only 1 DNF. Despite the rain the dirt roads were in good condition. High grass, so glad we were playing today and not in the height of summer. Thanks YOF for the adventure.

My husband and I are staying at nanango for a couple of days and this afternoon i dropped him off at the races and I'm off finding some caches. Love this country rd. Ran up to this one as rain is heading our way. The container is broken so I ran back to car to put it on zip lock bag to keep it safe. Thankyou for all the fun

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Had a fab adventure with Ms Maddy today and over the last few days in her efforts to reach a special milestone at the mega. Much appreciated was the hospitality of YOF and his lovely wife at the end of the day. Out this way we found some very durable caches, a small fluffy animal, some swans, cows, dogs, awesome views and rolling fields, surprisingly a lot of cars heading out on their own adventures, the best bakeries in the country ofcourse and a whole lot of laughter. I am not sure how many we picked up but it was over 50. I really appreciated the work put into the large number of caches at Nanango. I am sorry about the generic logs. and a huge Tftc

The marathon caching run continues and lucky to have Miss Direction’s company for this adventure. There were new places to explore and took pics of black swans and cattle, startled a small furry critter at a cache, ran to some, stumbled to others, drank coffee, peered under and over and around things, scored a few itchy bites, and replaced a couple of missing hides. A fab day out Apols for the generic logs as a few to log tonight.

Out and about on a day of caching adventures, seeking Hidden Creatures and getting a few smilies . After a very early and foggy start to the day we arrived in Nanango for a quick stop to stretch the legs and acquire some sustenance for the day ahead. We then travelled up hills, down dales and all over the local country lanes bouncing over pot holes and swimming through a few boggy patches.

We scrambled through long grass, poked our hands into all manner of hidey holes and found all the caches in good order, where they were supposed to be. Logs were signed and everything was returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for a most enjoyable day and for bringing us to a new place to explore. TNLNSL TFTC .

Today's caches have mostly come to us courtesy of youngoldfella. We decided to go as far as Nanango and cache along the way. Each of the found logs had our name added before we moved on and each was replaced as it had been found. Many thanks go to youngoldfella for adding to our caching experience by placing so many caches around the Nanango district.

After a bike ride over Mt Stanley, I decided to take a detour on the drive home to find some caches to help get me to an upcoming milestone. I continued north and found some caches on the road over to Nanango then began the long drive home. Thanks for placing these

Decided to spend a few days camping in Nanango with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to go out and find some of the caches hidden in this beautiful part of QLD.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]

We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.

Spoilt for choice it was difficult to decide on where to cache today. We decided on a small loop before lunch then a longer list for the afternoon.

We were impressed with the quality of the cache locations and containers here in Nanango. Very happy with our total of 42 finds with only 2 DNF's add to that 1 cache that muggles were hanging around even though we tried twice today. Think we will retry that on Monday when schools in.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella

A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.

26/3/16 camping for the Easter break in the area and hoping to grab a few caches whilst in the area. I ducked out with the geoboy (hoping he would have a rest whilst I found a few caches) and I was mighty impressed with the various caches and hides today.

Eleventh find for the day and once agin another quick find. It has been very nice being able to find so many along the side of the road. TFTC

After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here

Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.

Today was my first ever visit to the historic Burnett region, heading to lovely Nanango for the first event held there. Of course, there were plenty of caches to be found along the way .

Saturday. Slow Puncture took off early to fuel up Blue Thunder for our excellent day out at Youngoldfella's "Nanango's First Event" event. We had a hassle-free drive from Burpengary to Nanango, particularly enjoying the part of the trip from Blackbutt onwards, as we had not been past there in a long time.

Please pardon our generic log, but this is the only way we will ever get them recorded This cache, like all of the ones one our trip, was found in good order, and with lots of recent logs from cachers well known to us!

This was the 25th of 36 caches found on this trip.

Happy International Geocaching Day!

This was a nice quick find whilst on this trail of caches.

About today:
It was decided by Fairy Mother and I that we wanted to get out and do some Geocaching for this celebratory day and also do it in a place that we really enjoy hunting. That place was out west in Nanango. An area that we have both enjoyed hunting from the moment we started Geocaching.

The day was just perfect for it. There was a crispness to the air, the sky was a stunning blue and the company was, as always, perfect. All of this added to what was a pleasant day of laid back hunting.

This time we decided that we would both meet up in Nanango to save on time (allowing for more caching time!). The two and a bit hour drive out just flew by for me today. Being taken on a ride by the GPS, I went via a few fun dirt roads to get here and grab a sneaky cache or two along the way.

After a fffreeezing night the day turned out to be fine and warm. Just the sort of day for a sight seeing tour around some of the local back roads. In our travels we found 22 caches ranging in size from micro all the way up to a 10 litre bucket.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.

Must have missed this one coming past last night.
Came past today and I headed to GZ and found the cache in the first place I looked.
The country is cleared of trees but the roadsides have a border of trees along them.
The country is brown at the moment and could do with rain.
Had frost this morning which made it very cold about minus 2.

with our good friend Konie.
A great time was had, finding a good variety of hides and caches.

Out and about with The Drovers for a few days caching in the Nanago and Kingaroy areas. We managed to find a variety of caches with lots of different containers and this was one of them.

Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
