What a shame. The yarn bombing is long gone but the cache lived on - until this current phase of development. The cache and it’s hiding spot are now gone.
GZ zone has turned into a big construction site and is blocked off by high fences.
No luck tonight. The hint was not up to this kiwi. A car also parked up and I was mindful that I was "lurking" around a school area so abandoned my search.
very difficult:( at first looked in every tree around the area, then searched “yarn bombing” and started looking for Hong’s hidden using some decorative material. Still couldn’t find ;(
Oh my, yarnstorming photos are gorgeous! No treats here for us now at GZ. In fact, for a few minutes the only knitted thing was our brows! Happily found what we were looking for. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Would have loved to be here when these were yarn-bombed! Anyway, we arrived at GZ and looked around the place, reading some logs until we chanced upon a clue (in the logs) which would lead us to the correct location. From there we followed standard cache procedure, and moved forward with our finds once the cache was properly replaced! Thanks for the delightful little story and the hide!
Found with Foreignnebula!

Oh the punnery that was witnessed with this cache. Just... the puns. Found with ReverseG and quite a few ants in tow. Signed and returned thanks for the cache!
Stayed overnight in the area to attend a family wedding and do a bit more caching on the way home (as if I didn’t do enough at Mega last weekend!). Quick PnG
Yay! First find of the day.... And possibly the last. Have been having pretty bad luck so far. Found with BMX501.

I was up top of hill thought I found its hides hole trying to beat my geoing sister to it took the easy way down sure did grazed hand and knees my darling sister laughing but I found it ha ha
That was funny. Sister came running down from top couldn’t stop and landed like a bomb. That will make for a good yarn.
Located at 3:44pm. Very clandestine and clever hide. Bus pulled up whilst I was signing the log so had to await the disembarking passengers to move away before replacing the cache as found. Third quick find whilst awaiting my Baba’s appointment to finish. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
A great cache! Took a while as we kept searching the wrong trees. Awesome camo!!! TFTC SBMT
A little confusing since again my location was playing up. Began my "check everything and anything" plan. It worked.
Had to find one more before breakfast. Sad that there is no more yarn - would have liked to see that. See you shortly SBMT.
Found it. After attending a job interview in sydney today for a career change hopefully to dubbo, an afternoon of caching was calling. Managed a handful of mostly traditional caches before returning home south.
Another find while out on a stroll around Strathfield with the geokids.
Coords were good and something out of place was spotted, sure enough it contained the cache! Never get tired of finding these types of hides. Geoboy loves them!
Thanks for the cache SBMT

Find #115
3rd of seven traditionals found in the area during a caching run with phlphotos.
quickly found, recovered and log signed before replacing as found. tftc

Recovering from a lurgy & thought a nice easy walk round some streets would be a safer way to test out my stamina than a bush walk so I ended up in this area.
did a bit of a loop and ended up here, couldn't quite get the gps to settle so went for something not quite the same. Good camo. TFTC

An overcast but clearing cool Saturday usually means fewer muggles about. So rode the hybrid out Newington way for some caching along Haslem Creek. Tally for the day: 13 finds, 1 DNF

Remembered there were a few caches without happy faces in the Strathfield area. So returned home via skyebomonkeytown territory. This is the 9th find of the day.
Sad about the removal of the yarn bombs. Perhaps there can be a renaissance some time.

Walked past this afternoon, the fence is down and although there have been some improvements in the area the cache has not been disturbed and is still in place. It's not designed to stump you but it could... no need to dig / search among the new stuff, but it is close.
Drove past this afternoon:
The area is still fenced off due to nearby construction...
THE CACHE IS CURRENTLY INACCESSIBLE.

I do like yarn bombing. In my home town of Toowoomba in Queensland they had a installation of yarn bomb during the freezing winter many years ago. I wish they wouldn't take it down ... it harms nothing and looks beautiful. I'm afraid that's progress for you...

This weekend did we fly to Sydney. Our goal was to find the oldest cache in Australia. But of course did we logg some more caches in the city. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.

On holiday with the family in Sydney for a long weekend, in order to attend a neice's wedding. We had hired a car for a couple of days, and today I had a little time spare, so while the others hit the pool, I hit the road and went caching
This was my third find of the day. At first, I was a little worried about this one, as there were a couple of magpies wandering around, and there were a few people playing on the field nearby. However, all were far enough away for me to stealthily retrieve the cache. Good little hiding spot- like it was made for a cache!

Two weeks in Australia for holidays with Kirdec.
Day 9. 38°C today, too hot for tourism, so we decided to do only cache in drive in the suburbs of Sydney, and only the one which can helped us to smile some challenges !
Multi, regular, some attractive words in title, ... plenty of reasons
Mostly, the caches were found without difficulty, thanks to all the owners for their work.
Greetings from France.

We have to find caches with word "rock" in the title.
We have to find caches with word "up" in the title.
We have to find caches with word "road" in the title.
We have to find a cache hidden the 24th august 2012.
We have to find challenge caches.

No sign of yarn bombing or any other type of school yard bombing, but I had to spin a yarn to a passing local muggle about what I was up to before I could get CIH, SL, and go off like a .... rocket! TFTC SBMT
Found with McWoo and League13. Very nice cache, but the camo didn't really fit in
First looked in the wrong tree, broadened our search and found in no time. Shame they took the yarn down.
Found with JulsJordsS and League13

I used to walk past here all the time, sad they had to take it down, it was so pretty!
OCW with Mrs A today. First signature in the new log.
Parked and after some looking around...grabbed. We noted the hint which took a little while to sink in. Once we broadened our search I was able to make the find. TFTC skyebomonkeytown.

New log! This one has suffered a little cache screen but the coords are still good.
A quick park & grab on the way to work. Log full but managed to sign along the edge.
It's been a long time since I rock and rolled...and searched for plastic containers. This was found by geoson, my 500th! TFTC
Time for a nice drive around the area doing some park and grabs. No room to write my username. TFTC
Found it. Geo-Deaf friends day together. Thanks for bringing us. Greetings from Glenhaven NSW.
Parked the car nearby and headed for a tree. First the wrong one, and then the right one. Something looked a little suspicious and a quick look there revealed the clever camo cache. Signed the almost full log, then saw a bit of paper on the ground (new log?) so placed it into the tube with the old one. Replaced the cache carefully. Didn't see any yarns today, but I had a couple. TFTC
The new almost empty log was actually on the ground nearby. It was damp from the rain but not destroyed so we put it back inside the cache.
#766 Twelfth of eighteen finds on a great day caching around Homebush West and South Strathfield.. Found after a short search. TFTC
Back in Oz meeting old friends and new caches.
Thanks for the hunt and the find today.
Thanks for the hunt and the find today.
Good cache! Logbook is now completely full, and the yarn bomb is gone. Also think its more of a small not extra small! Anyway TFTC
I note the log is full, I'm currently overseas so please try to scratch a signature in - I'm sure there will be blank bits.
As mentioned in my note on 10 August, the yarn bombing is now gone (it was getting ratty anyway), you can see what it looks like in the gallery for this cache.
Also, just a reminder that the size refers to the size of the cache, not the size of the camo.
Cache on!

A quick park and grab though the coords seemed out a bit. The hint took me to the hide and soon spotted the camo to have CIH. Log is full and I tried to add my scrawl using several pens but not much luck. Photo added for proof. TFTC.
Pity the yarn bomb is no more, was looking forward to admiring the handiwork. SL TFTC
Yes. Yes it does. Sadly didn't see any here today but it still rocked! On the hunt for the GCA Geosportz Triathlon! Stage 1 - Traditional complete!
Alas it is true, the yarn bombing at this location has now been removed. There are photos on the cache listing of the previous yarn bombing here along with others I have sighted on my travels! Yarn bombing still rocks...

**Needing a cache for the day to keep my streak alive, and after a full 12hr shift, it was 7:30pm, and pitch black. I normally see these hides well during the daylight. But turn off the lights and it became a whole lot harder. Using my phone light, I managed to get the COH after 10min. Have a favourite SBMT....**

Perfect day to jump on the bike and collect some more caches. This time it was the Strathfield area i wanted to learn about. Thank you for the series and showing me these parks. All the caches were in a fine condition when i found them. A few not hidden as well as they should have been. So a bit more foliage has been placed on top.
Today C wanted to go for caches near trainstations homebush and flemington.
The weatherforecast was not so good, so the umbrella and raincoat were put in the bag.
But when she left the train the clouds were mostly gone.
The only water came from the trees.
When C got close to the GZ she noticed the guard.
She started looking around, which one could be the other one?
The quad didn't noticed her.
But that could not stay so.
Hè saw her and kent looking.
So C thought " what the hack" and walked towards him.
Hè didn't know anything about geocaching, but was curious.
After C had found the cachecontainer she showed it to him.
At the end she has found 12 caches and walked more than 12km, so for every cache a kilometer
Thanks for this one.

After 2 DNFs in a row it was nice to get back on the wagon. Thankfully the security guard near GZ had eyes only for the carpark and couldn't have cared less what was going on behind him.
