After staying seven nights at the NZMCA park nearby I thought I should really grab this cache before I leave. Missed it on the first pass, but then that ah ha moment. Nice one, cheers
Day 4 (and last day), in Dunedin for Geo Toroa (Mega) with a team of cachers from South, East Auckland (SEAC), NZTravellers, KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, and myself. This is our usual annual caching trip where we usually travel to a Mega (in NZ thus far) and/or cache the area, or select an area most of us haven't been caching before, to gain maximum numbers for all. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining caches in some stunning locations that we may not have visited had it not been for geocaching.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space unless specifically required to sign individually.TFTC.
Team SEAC consisting of HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, UncleSam, Keylev and ourselves headed to Dunedin for the 2024 MEGA!All logs were signed as SEAC to save paper (except where specific signing requirements were requested)Fourth and final day of our Mega weekend. The weather was sunny but still chilly today! Thanks to all the CO's who had maintained the caches as we found a majority with fresh paper and containers!Had the right idea just not the right item. Then felt the cache and made the find.TFTC
Today was day 4 of our visit to Dunedin for the Mega event. Today we just stuck around the Dunedin area picking up caches and ad lab points as we encountered them, including previously solved puzzles. We have signed most logs with SEAC as there are 5 caching names between our group of seven; Keylev, UncleSam, NZTravellers, Stik-a-crane and us. Lots of fun had and memories made with great friends. All a bit tired now and ready for home. Just a few more caches first. Took a couple of minutes. Said hello to a muggle who passed us then signed the log. TFTC
Day 4 (last) of our mega trip and today was planned to be a bit more focussed on some specific caches or places some of the crew wanted to visit.I googled what this meant and I'm still not sure I'm clear....but found the cache and I guess thats all that matters (on this weekend anyway ha ha)Thanks for the cache. Signed SEAC (South East Auckland Crew)
Here for the 2024 Mega with friends from Auckland. Most logs signed as SEAC. Thanks for supporting our addiction Took a while and a poke up
Arrived in Dunedin for our first Mega. Set up camp and then went out caching. Had to google word and looked in completely wrong place. Used geo sense and found it. Thanks for this cache katie_w.
I had just set up camp in Dunedin ready to attend the Mega Event this coming weekend so I looked around to set what caches I could find nearby. This one was the closest but I didn't have a clue about the hint - Google was no help to me - so I decided to just go and visit the coords and see what I could see. I quickly found something suspicious in the 2nd place I poked into. After a bit of extraction the cache was revealed and signed. TFTC katie_w.
FInally found this one! Was staring at the poem for a long while and it sorta relates to the hiding spot. Was about to give up when i spotted something. Very good hide. Thanks. Also found an empty airpod case if someone is missing it.
Tried to make sense of hint, but it didnt make sense. Having a time constraint also didnt help! Thanks anyway
A little bit of a hunt for this one, but soon had the cache in hand after searching the other similar spots. TFTC
I made a quick search of some likely spots while Liz did as the hint suggested. Have found the cache but have zero idea of the link between the hint and the hide location.
Tricky one, read the poem a couple times but have no clue, will have to come back. Love the mystery.
Did as suggested stood back & got the ah ha moment. Ill try there & what a quick find that was. TFTC
The big mission of today day was to break my record of most finds in 1 day. I started in the morning from Larnach Castle, after spending the night there. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad for part of the day but I persisted nonetheless, going on a geocaching hunt through the wind and rain, on my bike! After going down Highcliff Road into the city, I spent a lot of time in the city centre, ticking off all adventure labs there. Then through the botanical gardens and onto the steepest street in the world, which I managed to ride all the way up in 3 'stints' . To finish off I grabbed some more tradies at the waterfront and just before midnight I called it a night. I'm not sure if I broke the record yet, since I'm only logging all finds at the moment .Btw, sorry to all CO's, I did not manage to actually sign all logs, since my fingers were sometimes so cold, I had no strength to open some tight containers. Rest assured, I actually found all containers and enjoyed the full day hunt a lot! Also sorry for this generic log for all caches, making it a little bit easier for myself, since I found so many. All finds were relatively easy, mostly because of the hints, thanks for that. All DNF's were either taking too much time so I had to move on, or were very probably missing. Many thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining! FP's rewarded for the ones I especially enjoyed!
This one was taking us a while and we had a few muggles pass while we were looking but eventually we found it. TFTC
Took a wee bit to find over loocked the location a couple of times but got there in the end with wet feet and grubby knees god i love caching
with annielin and dsi. nice to be exploring the area that i've not been in before. tftc

I did ask Uncle Google about the title of the cache, and all the way along the path to here I was repeating the poem to myself (in my head, not out loud like a strange old woman!). I thought it might be like a cache I had found at Westfield Albany, which luckily it wasn't. I looked at GZ and thought about where I would hide a cache and straight away had the cache in my hand.
Visiting from Wellington for a son's graduation. Out for an evening caching walk. Took the chance to take a stroll by the river to reach this. Weren't sure how to solve this but previous logs really helped. TFTC
We are on holiday from California, mostly traveling by camper van around the South Island. Our trip is nearing its end, it we are camped not far away so took a nice walk to the gardens this morning and then found this one on the way back to our camping spot. Less trouble than we expected, particularly since we couldn’t make sense of the hint. Current cache does not seem to match the description, but still a good hide. Thanks.
One of the things I like about caching is that you learn about different topics. This cache did that today. Thanks
Staying at the NZMCA and a nice walk along the river. Easy find but don't understand the name.
Tricky hide and in the last option to be checked! Good to share the hunt with another family who were on the same mission ahead of us!
In dunnas for a while caching up with KJR..
"Ticking along tuesday" another day doing some solo caching while k has to work...
Made this one a lot harder than it should have been..checked most likely spots with nothing to show read logs and checked again...bingo...the one spot I must have missed tftc

4 out of 4 finds tonight. Pretty happy to spot this hide quickly. Had driven this road many times but never stopped here before. Wanted a higher D rating for a challenge I am working. Great as it brings me to caches I would not have tried. Thanks katie w for the cache.
Was one of the first ones we tried. After 2 failed trips. Went back today with more knowledge of caches. Went over the clue with the whanau and found it easily this time. Was great to knock this one off.
Awsome. Did some sleuthing from the clue and worked it out. Thanks. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh ️️️

If there was any particular item needing a tool to 'open' . . . it wasn't there. One quick look and had to use TOTT as the other item was well stuck in hide by the last find logger which must befuddle so many locals and visitors when they don't get the hint or take the time to give the item a long enough look. Waltzed up to the GZ foxtrotting the rocks stuck in the path. Definitely not as easy path to cycle or push a stroller lol. Suddenly it's not that easy to be left alone at the GZ while a lass clad in tartan uniform was lingering topside texting and vaping away like a steam train. Withdrew the cache package to sign the micro log booklet somewhere as room has been left on some of the pages. Returned as found well secured in hide as the CO would have it? since the cache hasn't had an owner log in awhile. The cache is there dry and ok to find but a special tool is a must to retrieve. *RTP 350pt* TFTC
Has a good snoop around but with limited time and being relatively new to cryptic clues I didn’t have any luck.
Will return!!
Will return!!
Worked out the clue and had the cache in hand right under the noses of the unsuspecting locals. Love it when they totally ignore you. Cache is all good. TFTC
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.

Another good cache found with woolwood9.
We soon had the container located. SL: **tm/ww NZ**
*Thanks for putting this cache out for us to visit*
Found quickly this visit - had a DNF here in 2016!

This one certainly took me a while. Took my torch with me, but found it wasn't much help. Just as I was about to give up, I had an idea of where it could be and there it was! Cache container is no longer black, but is in a pill bottle inside a plastic bag (which actually helps keep it in place). Log was nice and dry. TFTC.
Quick find. Couldn’t make the connection to the name. Didn’t know this trail was here so thanks for that. TFTC
Third attempt at this one and with the previous recent finds I figured this was to be the day! There worse part is I had searched the hiding spot on my first visit so didn’t check it on the 2nd.

A trip to dunedin for a venturer meeting meant an opportunity for me to get some caches. In the pouring rain I was fairly doubtful about this one for a few reasons. Checked a couple of places and found quickly. I think I did it wrong as No tool was required and I found it so easily.

Great hide, really had us wandering around the GZ and scratching our heads. Should have relied more on the GPS as the coordinates led us right to the cache. Thanks!
We are on the road by 6.30, just on dawn. Stopped here and The Seagnoid had this one captured in double quick time. Now tagged. Cheers
Easter Friday 19 April - Dunedin central ++.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Staying at the NZMCA motor camp just around the corner, Taybeedragon and I are up and about already, finding this cache at 0645 on Easter Friday. Everyone are all still in bed. No muggles around this time of morning, not that it mattered, I found this cache in the very first place I looked!
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few vituals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

#3968 found quickly, it doesnt look like it is described in listing, but there was a lot of other signatures, so hope I found the right cache. Thanks for the cache, greetings from Czech Republic.
Waited for muggles to pass by, then found it in the second place we looked. Tftc.
Found on our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. While staying at the NZMCA camp nearby we decided to give this one a try and had expected to be searching for a while. A thorough search in all the obvious places and we made the find in no time at all.
Merry Christmas and TFTC.

Pleased to make the find in the dark. Put my gummies on in case but not really necessary. Thanks for the hide. #3067
Rain started falling quiet heavily, so my partner in crime stayed in car while i searched. After 10 minutes i gave up, wet and cold. Time to leave Dunedin now to find some sun to cache in.
A great afternoon caching in the Dunedin area, about 32 caches for the day a few good up and down walks and a bit of bush bashing and a lot of fun had. Many Thanks Bitsprayer.
Today I went off down a stair
I find a cache that wasn't there
At least I hadn't seen it before...
I felt like I'd tried 100 times or more!
Today I went for attempt 3,
And the cache was waiting there for me!
And when I looked around the hall,
I couldn't see any muggle at all!
Log away, log away, don't need to come back anymore.
Log away, log away, and now hidden forevermore.

Nice walk ways around this area ....really enjoyed this cache and it was a pleasure to find the well placed container although it’s differs from the hint...thanks Katie w for an all round great cache
This was fun!! We walked from the NZMCA Park and was prepared for a long search. I took the low road and got wet feet. Macwatt googled and then said "got it". Whew now it's wine o'clock!! Thanks for the placement Katie w
Didn't Google the title but just took a good look before checking possible hiding places and soon found the nicely concealed cache. Thanks.
A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches to get my numbers up so I can crack 2000 before the end of the year. TFTC
Took a second visit and help from my sister all the way from England (Isn’t technology wonderful?!)! Should have been easier thought as the hiding spot was one of the first places I considered. TFTC
Came past GZ some time ago, but container was almost inaccessible and I did not try to extract it for fear of making the situation worse.
Came back today after being out with the Wednesday Walkers, armed with the requisite tool, and soon had the container in hand. I suspect that this is a replacement, as it no longer matches the description.
