Quick find on a camping trip for the long weekend with Operator & all the muggles from both families. This one was collected last evening when the blistering heat settled down, & before the little muggles settled in for the movie night at the local caravan park. Cache & log in good nick - thanks for placing a cache close to the camping ground so we could get a sneaky find in while doing the family thing!
We were visiting the oasis and collected this happy little gem before movie night.Found with Mello2
I was looking to log a letterbox cache as part of this months wheel of challenges souvenir. I couldnt find the one nearby so i was very happy to be able to put my hand on this one nice and quickly. A lovely cache in lovely condition and in a lovely spot to boot. Perfect!
My Trip
Yesterday i managed to strain my knee while doing some cleaning up outside, this morning it seemed to hurt more and i decided that i wouldnt be able to get back to the task today. I was feeling a bit caged inside and wondered what i could do that wouldnt strain my left knee too much while also allowing me to do some gentle exercise as well. Driving would be ok... Short walks would help it.... Some sun and nature always makes me feel better.... hmmm.... Well caching sounds perfect!
So i checked out my map and decided to head in the Shep direction where i could catch an event as well. So i strapped the knee, grabbed the geopooch and my geo-go bag and set off.

The house is being painted, we have an excitable puppy, so we decided to go away for 5 days up to Wakiti near Echuca using our Travel Auctions win. Very good value with lovely owners.
This morning we were heading off for a day of caching and of course had to stop at this one on the way out! Nice easy find - the utiful stamp was in with the actual cache btw. Geopuppy was more interested in the cows in the field opposite lol
TFTC Liz and Bruce and Honeysucker, it was very cool having one right outside the front gate - GJMMelb

I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Letterbox cache Liz and Bruce and to Honeysucker for maintaining it.

I needed a non trad today and as we were short on time because of other commitments I had a quick survey of the countryside to see how far we had to travel to meet the requirements I needed . Beauty, not too far I see. Both caches were straight forward and found in good condition. Thank you honeysucker .
As we progressed along the road, we were drawn in by the signs to the resort. So much so that, after we perused the situation, and located the cache, we went to the office and made enquiries about a family holiday here. Driving through the resort, we were impressed with the facilities. Who would have known it existed?
Thanks for the introduction Liz and Bruce, and for maintaining the cache, which is in excellent condition, Honeysucker.

A lovely Saturday morning greeted us after a night with a fair bit of rain as we awoke right next to the mighty Murray River, and after breakfast, we set off for a day of caching. We had several target caches in mind, and we were happy to pick up whatever attracted the eye as we drove around. It isn't many days of caching that you pick up multiple Letterbox caches, but today was one such day, with this being the second for the day. We felt a little apprehensive as we approached the cache, but we saw what we wanted to see once open. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for placing this cache, Liz and Bruce, and to Honeysucker for maintaining it.
Found today after spending our weekend here. Beautiful place. Cache and contents in good condition. TNLNSL. Thankyou for the cache
Easy find by Geowife. Always like a cache that’s a lil different. The resort looks packed on this Easter weekend. TFTC Liz and Bruce
Drove out on a very hot day to grab this cache and complete my wonders of the world souvenirs. A quick find after dodging the many muggles coming and going. TFTC
Clever hide in what looks like a beautiful spot. I've often seen the signs on the Echuca Road but never been past here. TFTC
We're staying at the nearby Wakiti Creek Resort and after a very late breakfast, I convinced M to come out for a bike ride to grab the nearby caches. This was an easy find complicated by the traffic coming in and out the driveway of the resort and meant we had to time our retrieval and return carefully.
Thanks for find #1681

Staying at Wakiti resort and decided to explore the area and pick up some geocaches. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache
Cool, a letterbox cache, as we near the end of our caching day in the Goulburn Valley area. Being school holidays it looks like Honeysucker has quite a few visitors at his place! It is about 3 years since we were in this area, and we have a few more caches under our belt now! SL at 5.10pm Left: glow eagle PT #6321 TFT Letter box cache Liz and Bruce and Honeysucker
Another day on the road as I make my way from Adelaide to Tasmania, via country Victoria.
Its been s leisurely trip, visiting some interesting places and some delightful little towns along the way, and seeking out a few select caches to break up (and in some cases guide) the journey. The weather has been good too, although perhaps a little bit hot for my liking. But its March - you get that!
After camping on the bank of the Murray near Echuca, I made my way east more or less following the river. It was great to be able to find 3 traditionals, 7 unknowns, 3 letterbox hybrids, a couple of multis and an earthcache today. And only one DNF!
This was a quick find in an ‘interesting’ location!
Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache.

Staying here at Wakiti Creek Resort, it was nice to see one close by. It was a nice hide with loot that wasn’t trash - ticks all round. Thanks
Hi there Liz and Bruce.
We found your cache **"Liz and Bruce seek out Honeysucker"** today. (This makes our find count 19299).
When Ian gave Penny the choice of direction for todays cache raid, she said "East". So eastwards we went - well sort of. Lotsa bees around here, but none of the honey sucking variety.
We found 15 caches today (DNF'd 0) & thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
***Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book is in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Very cool!
Stamped or signed as 'Team Clarmensma' AKA myself, GemmaSistema, neisha07, boo09, AdamSistema & LukeSistema.
School holidays yet again and we thought we'd stay the night in Echuca. It took us about 6 hours to get there from Maryborough and about 13 to get home.
A fun trip with only minimal rain, a handful of DNF's, some previous DNF's that are now smilies and 7 cache types found over the 2 days.

Ooh a rare cache type. Loved this one and the secret door! Adding a fav point.
Today was day 2 of a 2 day road trip with Team Clarmensma (GemmaSistema & becca85 and our 4 geokids - neisha07, AdamSistema, boo09 & LukeSistema). The Sistema crew left Echuca and caches our way via Moama, Barmah, Picola, Yambuna, Koyuga, Nanneella, Rochester, Burnewang, Elmore and Bendigo before heading home via Maryborough to drop off the 3 girls and finishing at home in Ballarat about 11pm. We had plenty of finds, a few DNFs and heaps of laughter and fun as we cached along back roads, through tiny towns, around and across across amazing rivers with stunning scenery wherever we went. Thanks so much for putting this cache out for us to find and enjoy. We really appreciate it.

This was a very nice hide. At a great spot thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce (maintenance by Honeysucker) With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.
My wife had booked a camping holiday with her cousins and all of our kids in Wakiti Creek, somewhere I had never heard of. So of course the first thing I did was check to see how many caches were in the area. I couldn't really pinpoint where we were in relation to the caches so I was pleasantly surprised when I realised we were practically on top of four of them.
So after dinner one night I borrowed the 10 year old's bike and took off. I was a bit surprised to realise that not only where there some caches nearby but that I was practically camping on top of one. A nice hide here and certainly living up to its cache type. Thanks for the cache Liz, Bruce and Honeysucker and an enjoyable week.

Perfect weather for caching to the east of Echuca, in the very good company of the Suscoe duo. We found a variety of caches, learnt a little more local history and visited places we would not have seen were it not for the geo-game.
Our second visit to this location/cache.
Thanks Liz and Bruce for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out nice and early today for a terrific day of caching in this area of the state.
It was a magical Spring day, so much sun, a few clouds, a gentle breeze and great company to be with as we headed around the roads.
We had done our preparation, planning the order of caches, sorting out puzzles and printing the multi pages.
Lunch on the road and fair weather, caches to find: what else could you ask for.
Thanks to Liz and Bruce for this cache.

This was our last day here in Echuca and we had a few more solved puzzles to grab. The weather was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed another day here. Once again, thanks to the CO's for their efforts. We can't wait to return here. TFTC Liz and Bruce
First find for the day after meeting up with other cachers. As they had already found it so left it to Wal-Len and me to make the easy find. Stamped my book.

Today was a mixed day as were not always able to hunt for caches due to the low lying water after the recent rain. The mozzies were also very hungry and the grass very long. It was still an interesting, though sometimes frustrating caching day.
This was at least an easy cache to find. It is well protected and shouldn't be bothered by muggles. Log was signed and all was replaced where found. Thank you to Liz and Bruce for a nice simple letter box cache. All our trackables on hand came to visit.

Finally got motivated to attempt a few caches between the lunchtime event and the dinner event... so off on the dusty road harbouring the most interesting looking cluster of caches within striking distance. On reflection, perhaps a journey better suited for the better half's soft roader, rather than my hatch, but I'm sure the dust will wash or blow out of all the crevices eventually.
The second of two letterboxes this afternoon, and quite different from the other. Very cleverly placed... though less difficult than it could have been, as the cache was not quite as out of sight as it should be. Not so much, when I'd signed.
Thanks, Liz and Bruce, for Letterbox #18.

We have enjoyed hosting these CO's near our own mailbox, so it was nice to post a stamp here marking another spot along their route.

Catching up with some late logs.
Mrs Crackers was travelling with maccamob to Echuca stopping picking up a few caches along the way. We stopped at the entrance at this large letterbox and soon saw what we needed to do to be able to log this cache.
The paperwork was completed and we were off to the event.
Thanks Liz & Bruce for the cache.

An awesome letterbox hybrid, close to an event that we were attending - Thanks Liz and Bruce.
Since we were driving past, it would have been insulting not to stop and pick this cache up on our way in. We picked this cache up at 2:21pm. Then it was time to head in, work out where we were meant to be and be sociable.
Heading from Bendigo up to the event outside Echuca, The Morris and I were making a few stops along the way. We did a good mix of GC and GCA caches and made it to the event only a few minutes late.

Found today whilst going to Echuca. Very nice to meet honeysucker and loved his touch of Paradise looks a very peaceful place to stay. HtFTC LS
On a very quiet back road through a forest I think I might have found Honeysucker's hideaway [:o]
At the gate I stood bemused.
Where oh where would the cache bee ??
Somebody who probably has something to do with running the hive, was buzzing around nearby.
That didn't stop me sneaking in for a look see after reading the notes and realising where this cache was !! [:o]
And there it was
While sticking the cache back where it belonged,
un-noticed a truck full of posts turned up and the driver asked me where I wanted them put !!
"Er !! Dunno I said, I'm just checking the mail,
You had better ask the boss over there driving the quad bike around."
That bit of quick thinking got me out of a sticky pot of honey
TFTC !! Sweet !!

Dalerious and I ventured out from the event for a couple of nearby caches this afternoon, this being one of them. Team effort soon had the quality cache in hand, we logged, stamped, and replaced it back to it's very clever hiding spot. Thanks to Liz and Bruce, wished you had of been here to share this weekend. A lovely cache seeking out the Honeysuckers.
Honeysucker is throwing a party so I'm going. They've been living near home for a few months but I haven't had a chance to drive out to their party pad yet.
Today I made a quick stop at a couple of new letterboxes to check the mail. This was the first stop, right at the front gate.

My very first mailbox cache and first chance to use my stamp for its intensed purpose
The downside of signing the log of this clever cache is that it officially signs the end of a lovely day with Honnysucker and guests at his "Geocaching is 15 Today" event.
Well officially that is 'cos we are staying over.

At the last moment, I received time off of work in order to head over to do the High Voltage 101 power trail and spend time 4WDing in the amazing and wonderful Victorian high country
GPS, thewhitedoggang and Princess Consuela were my travelling companions and great company they were, too [^]
All up, over 6 days, 161 caches were found with only 2 DNFs (one of which we later realised was already disabled )
Also, during our High Voltage experience, I hit my 8,000th cache find
A nicely set up cache hide and right at the doorway to a lovely place to visit....
My first cache for the day and it was with sadness that I pulled up behind GPS after they had found it, as it meant that we were leaving the lovely company of some friends who had graciously cared for us last night and this morning prior to our departure.
Many thanks for your hospitality, Honeysucker and Sew That
Hopefully we will see you again before too long.

After staying the night with our friends Honeysuckers, we just had to check the mail on the way out. Low and behold, what did we find! Our friends Liz and Bruce had left us a geocache. Yay. an easy find! We were travelling with Locus Cache and White Dog Gang on our way from Adelaide to the High Voltage power trail. The nearby facilities made a great place to stay overnight. We started this journey with the intention of cache maintenance and caches a few in Shepparton and brought our bikes with this in mind. At Stanhope, we decided to do the Whroo caches instead.
With a diversion on the way home as we are unable to attend the event next week.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce

It was great to see a letterbox cache spring up in area so off we went to check it out. The coordinates took us to an area I hadn't travelled before and a very interesting holiday prospect. Cabins, teepees, camping sites etc in the Aussie bush. I can't wait to try it out. Best of all - we met two Honeysuckers. Thanks Liz and Bruce for this special cache. I took two much needed lanyards and left an address book and a toy. I don't know how many times I have put down my GPS when I have been caching and left it there. They are now being used. Thank you for the lanyards and the surprise path tag.

With the choice of which direction to travel in today, I selected this area. I needed to pick up a nearby multi for my March month of multis challenge, and I love letterboxes. And oh! Look! A new letterbox has appeared on the map! But guess who was the first to sign? Not us, that's for sure, but apparently we get a bronze medal.
And we got sprung by a Honeysucker and what a pleasure that was. Hopefully we will be back here soon for an event, we've booked a cabin just in case.
Consequently I am delighted with my choice of direction. I am a firm believer in serendipity.
And thanks for the cache, the whole experience was so good I am giving you your first favourite point

The last cache of the day and a good one it was too. Many thanks to Liz and Bruce for seeking out the elusive Honeysucker!
When we arrived we realised that we have been through this way before on the way home from Echuca. Found, appropriately stamped & logged ... Great hiding place. FTF ... TNLN. TFTC.
