Hi there Squash2. While out on the road today we found this cache at 0149pm after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Squash2 for this cache - our find 10911 and the 4th of 4 finds for the day.FieldNotes: The cache and Log are in good condition. but a cable tie needs replacing
Out with iluvtrekking on a beautiful day after hosting our event this morning. This has been on our ‘to do list’ for a long time and somehow we never got to it on previous visits. Made a determined effort today with ILT. The track was overgrown and wouldn’t want to do it in warmer weather. Made the find and happy to record our visit. Thanks squash2
Heading north on a road trip with richlink enjoying the locations we visit and grabbing some caches along the way.
We are in Geraldton for a couple of days ans enjoying the warmer weather. The boys walked in to put our names in the log book. Thanks for the cache squash2.

Clever hide! Unfortunately we lost a tool when we got attacked by a spider and dropped it...had a good look around and couldn't find it! Apologies
This was a fun puzzle. I haven't seen this kind of puzzle yet but figured out quickly how to get it out. Thanks for the cache and a favo from me!
The cache has now been maintained and is ready to go.
Thanks to e.gregory1 for feedback.

Found on a trip to the west from South Australia.
I spent a couple of nights in Geraldton catching up with froends, re-visiting old haunts from when I lived here 25 years ago and finding some caches of interest, including this one.
After wandering along the tracks and through the bush the cache was easily found at good coordinates. I was familiar with this type of field puzzle, although this was a much smaller scale. The bottom cable tie had broken but that didn’t affect the puzzle. However, just as I finally extracted the bison tube, the top cable tie also snapped. It looks like exposure to the elements had made them both brittle. After signing the log, I put everything at the base of the tree.
Thanks Squash2 for the puzzle and the cache.

This is my 1760 find.
Thank you Squash2 for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
Walked into this cache with Mr’s Z & T while SirFancy stayed in the car with a sleeping Mr B.
Once arrived at GZ the kids spotted the cache after a brief search and I worked to container out into the waiting hands of Mr Z.
Signing completed we made sure there wasn’t any detritus in the pipe and replaced everything as found.
A most definite favourite point here for a fun puzzle in the bush.

Day two of a northern adventure with Mr’s Z, T & B and SirFancy.
Today was a day off two halves all around Geraldton.
The morning was spent walking around Point Moore and West End before retreating to the accommodation for lunch and a swim.
The afternoon was our numbers run for the day completing the series along Alexander Drive, grabbing a couple of mysteries and having a run around at the foreshore.
Today I finished with 25 finds, 7 adventure labs and 2 DNF’s.

Thanks Squash2 for placing Old Quarry Walk for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 16:12 on 10/4/2022.
This is find number 4369 for me.

The fact that I spend so much time online looking at geocache ideas made this one a nice and easy retrieval. Worthy of a favourite
Deciding the best place where to start the walk was probably the hardest part of this cache.
Enjoyed the stroll, views and the simple but clever cache, it's nice to do cache's that the CO actually puts some effort into creating something different.

Wanting a pre holiday, holiday and knowing B12 was now a lot closer to home I figured a drive was in order! Up to what could have been even warmer weather than Perth’s yet surprisingly a slightly cooler (still warm) day.
Pleasant trip and fingers crossed on my return the new geocar will finally be ready! As I will need to return this way to collect the others still available just currently I reachable caches!

Our last full day in Geraldton before making the journey home to Perth. With Cravo10 linking into the last few days of the trip to help get the numbers up a bit.
Took an early morning drive out to Ellendale Pool to grab the three caches there and the two at Byrne park before working our way back into town to have a crack at the Wildflower Wander series.
The wildflower wander series was a good walk albeit a bit warm in the noon sun. We made a quick detour down to the field puzzle at quarry walk before rejoining the walk. Managed to find all on the wall bar a dnf on #14. Thanks to the local COs for the fun.

Worked smart for a change and found a path all the way to the cache. Got there with a flat battery (so was the GPS) but managed to fire it up again enough to locate the cache. Took a few minutes to extract the log but it was fun to do something other than a regular cache. Thanks for putting in the effort to make it interesting. Enjoyed the walk. Have a fave point. TFTC
Yes, it did take some time! But probably not for the reasons you would expect!
We decided to get the deadly treadlies (bikes) out today and have a go at the Chapman River series, but first we thought we'd retry Chirp, Chirp and this one before we began tham.
After checking out on access with the CO after a false start the other day we set off on our bikes on the track, but still didn't get it right. We never did find the Old Quarry track but instead headed up the track beside the golf course. That was OK but the sand was a bit soft so we ended up pushing our bikes a lot of the way.
Then we needed to bush bash to get to GZ, so it was time to ditch the bikes. We hid them in the scrub and at least were smart enough to mark a waypoint so we could find them. We've had difficulty before! Getting to GZ proved quite straightforward and we soon arrived, but it took us quite a while to find the container. We don't know why, but we had something quite different in our minds so this made the search quite challenging until we spotted it.
Then it was down to the challenge. This proved to be reasonably straightforward if time consuming due to the way it was so well crafted.
With the log finally signed and returned we headed back and as usual found the easier way, and yes we found our bikes easily.
Back through the sand and then on to the river.
A favourite from us.

Handy when you live close by all be it temporarily. A short walk to the Regional Park, a bit of a hike after that followed by a bit of bushbashing although nothing too bad. The cache was located easily and geowife had the honours to get the log out as she is really good in those fiddly jobs. Cache was all good and a one ticked off from our todo list. TFTC Squash2, a favorite comes your way.
Hi there Squash2.
We found your cache **"Old Quarry Walk"** at 11:13:00 AM today, so this makes our find count 14504.
Our plan for the day was to meet up with Everlasting and to attempt a Mystery Cache and grab the last souvenir of the month.
We started out fairly late because the rain just wouldn't let up until mid morning. When it eventually stopped we headed out to "Old Quarry Walk".
After completing the mission we headed out to the airport hoping to bag a couple of FTF's, and then as the sun was starting to hide again we attempted a couple of caches closer to our camp just in case the heavens wanted to open up once more.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the frustratingly ingenious construction.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found with micaparamedic. A nice stroll to the cache and once there it was obvious what to do - it just took a little time. We added insurance as we went and before too long we were signing the logbook, thanks Squash2. I have not seen this concept before but he has - in South Australia apparently.
I was wandering around chasing a few Chapman River caches today
But guess what !!
I was wandering the wrong side of the river
Not to worry !!
There was a very attractive cache find hidden out this side of the river to find
A rather easy find as it turned out
I guess I must have stumbled onto the easy way here !!??
Not a scratch, not a tree fought,
just a nice and easy walk up find
Oh !!
Except for the last two metres where a twig interrupted me for a fraction of a second

What a wonderful way to end a 25 klm cycle. We spent the morning cycling around town and lunching on the foreshore before finally setting off for home via Bluff Point and Spalding. We really love taking the river track home especially when the weather isn't too hot. Today was perfect as the recent rain had packed down the normally boggy sandy track. Once past the golf course I remembered the Old Quarry Walk cache and as Ian had his phone handy we bought it up on the screen. You were right about dense bush, ok for Ian as he can cycle using one hand and the other hand pushes the bushes out of his way. Not me... I plough through head down bottom up and upon reaching GZ needed a bit of emergency surgery. OK not quite that drastic but did need a tissue for a few bleeding scratches. All fun though and all too soon I spotted the item of our desire!
A few more scratches later and we were both huddled together and ????? well you have to go find the cache to know what was going on.
I spotted what once would have been the quarry, its now quite grown through with bush.
We signed the log then headed over to a nearby object for a selfie, well we couldnt really take a photo of the cache now could we?
Thanks Squash2 - another of your masterpieces. Loved it.

Forgot to log on the 12th. When our GeoFamily visit from Perth we like to all go geocaching together (well the adults anyway, sometimes the kids need some convincing/bribes). It give us a chance to enjoy some fresh air, exercise and spend time together .... and a little bit of healthy competition to see who spots it first This was the perfect cache for us. We enjoyed the walk, the kids scooting ahead at times and exploring the area, a bit of running to burn off some extra energy and a chance for the adults to relax, catch up and justify dessert last night while the kids are busy and happy. It was such a peaceful spot with great views. We found the cache pretty easily and then the fun began. In the end it was the perseverance of GeoR and GeoM of the robroy_co crew who retrieved the log, with plenty of helpful suggestions from everyone else. Thanks for bringing us out here Squash2. It is a very well constructed cache that provides a great challenge. A fave point from us.
TFTH that was fun. Geo M and R gallantly did the honours and retrieved the bison. What legends they are. Nice walk to GZ and back to the car before the sun went down!!
This one caught our eye last visit we had in Geraldton but unfortunately we ran out of time! We had it on our hit list and today we were able to happily place our smilie here! Out and about with Magpie51 & jrlt we had a pleasant stroll to GZ! Found the cache container no probs and once it was worked out how to retrieve the log with the tools provided Geo R & Geo M set to the task! Success! TFTC and the wonderful adventure! A favourite point from us!

With the cyclone fears I was worried I wouldn't be able to get to this cache in the morning (even though it didn't have the right cyclone "feel"). Using satellite images, I'm sure we found the easy way there, and the over the top boots and long pants were not warranted. The cache was located quickly, and not much time was needed to extract the log. Great cache Squash2. TFTC
Classic hide, took a bit, do love a good challenge, wore the geo grandy out getting to it which was a good thing

Yay! Our first eva FTF. Now if geohubby had of followed my directions we wouldn't have ended up in the bushes and had to double back. At least I can say we exercised and took in the views across Moresby. A great cache Squash2. Very clever. A favourite. TFTC. SL.
