Have seen the red iguana before, not realising there was a cache nearby. Cool background story. Stopped this time around to make the find. Took a while, since there are actually quite a few places but eventually was able to claim the price, tftc!
Here with craypig. Couldn't sign as log book jammed in. Bring tweezers or something. Tftc.
We were returning from Paremata Flats Reserve when we stopped for this hide. We never saw the Red Iguana on the way down the road. Pleased to add it to our tally. Number 3 today after mixed results in the Reserve. TFTC.
A great place for a cache. I didn’t even see the artwork as we drove in towards the tour cache. TFTC.
The holidays are here and the second half of the ‘Very Top of the South Tour’ begins. GraciesGPSFun and I have been joined by NosyNel and Jude_E and so the fun begin begins.

I do like the red iguana here. Quick snag and tag. Cheers
Sunday 14 Feb - Motueka - Wakefield - Richmond - Cable Bay and home to Picton. So lets get exploring.
A surprise call from Taybee NZ wanting to do the PWGT series inspired us to come to Tasman for a 3 day weekend with Zara and Toby. We explored some awesome spots in Collingwood, Takaka, Kaiteriteri, Riwaka, Wakefield, Nelson and Cable Bay. Thanks for al the COs who helped this happen. Enjoyed reading all the cache pages relating to NZs history and events.

Quick find. Mum found it even before I got out of the car because of some stupid barbed wire. TFTC
On a 3 week geocaching trip with woolwood9 around the top of the South Island.
Thanks for the reason to visit this location and for the cache.
*Very nice find for us here*
SL **tm/ww NZ**, but may appear as a black smudge on the many wet logs or plastic log strips.
Lid of container has a hole in it!

#8492. I flew over to Nelson today as I am off on a work trip on Monday. A friend of mine lives in Frosty Road in Hira so she decided to spend a few hours with me geocaching today. The rain was threatening but it did not become steady until later in the afternoon. We parked down the road and walked back to GZ. Nice quick find. All good here. Signed the logbook and replaced everything as found. Thanks SoBad for the cache. Great to to see the rock art and yes I have found some rediguana caches in the past. Always nice finding the old caches.
Hadnt been up this road before. Was wondering where it could bd hidddn but simple in end. Tftc
A very cool spot to place a cache! Great excuse to take photos whilst nodding to the passing cyclist. Took a few minutes but had cache in hand. Log signed as shell + tophe. Log a little damp but all is well. TFTC
Nice cache and good awareness to name it after another cacher; it works well. Simple find, all good. TFTC SoBad. FP from me.
Over Nelson way this weekend to attend Marchfest with a few workmates, so not a big caching weekend but some important ones targeted and found. A high percentage are puzzle caches, some solved quite a while back, some after a lot of head scratching and others with helpful nudges to get me on my way. Thanks all COs.

When I drove past earlier I hadn't noticed the big lizard so imagine by surprise when I came back! I like seeing random bits of rock art. Thanks SoBad for highlighting and to whomever painted it.
Was able to spot the obvious the possible clue to whereabouts of cache using my mighty powers of observation, and cache quickly in hand. Thanks for the cache.
Came for a wee drive over the hill to explore new areas for future caravanning... thought it was rude not to grab a couple of caches whilst here.
Hubby parked up the road slightly and I jumped out and made a quick find. all tucked away nicely. TFTC SoBad

Out this way to do a cache check so couldn't pass up collecting a few for ourselves along the way. Took a minute to click to the clue here but soon had cache in hand. tftc
This was a quick find in the obvious place - I'd love to know the story behind the Art !
Thanks for placing & maintaining this cache, SoBad.

Although TregearP and I had thought about a trip up Mt Arthur today, we took advantage of the calm(ish) conditions for a paddle out from Cable Bay.
Ha - a nice surprise at the GZ - there are some very artistic people out there, not withstanding the questions of appropriateness.
All in good condition - an instant find in the obvious spot, thanks for the cache.

Out and about getting a few caches never notices this before quite cool bit of art work
Too busy looking for a park to see the artwork until I was walking back to the GZ. I was impressed and a fp for the smile. Cheers
Found on a long weekend up in Nelson/Marlborough, with family, friends, and caching. Ticks all my boxes!!
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Directed that one at the telltale location. Interestingly, I managed to walk here, but then again I'm styaing in Cable Bay, so...
Oh well.
The travelling fox is happy =^,^=

The family Tognisserne ( can be translated into Train Pixies ) is on vacation from Denmark to New Zealand.
Last day at the Cable Bay campsite. Went for a morning run ... and found this cache. Quite an easy one ... Thanks.

Really really must go look for the famous cache to which you refer. Have been nearby a few times but always with other goals in mind. I was a bit worried where this one might be but a quick check of the D/T rating headed me in the right direction. It would have been very easy to get very wet feet here today after all that rain but a little attention to detail ensured everyone stayed dry. TFTC .
Caching with Sidewaze. After a long awaited lunch at Cable Bay and a walk up the hill (a Dnf) we decided to go for this one. An ego-restoring find. TFTC
What a great location for a cache and a very appropriate tribute. A quick find and log. TFTC
Having done quite a bit of caching with rediguana I was very curious as to what this might be, and what a unexpected feature it turned out to be, quite magnificent in it's own right, and a very fitting tribute cache to him.
Many thanks, I really enjoyed the visit, and the surprise.

About time we made the detour to look for this cache and today we had the time (and the energy) after a trip to Hori Bay. We have only been down this road once before, that was over a year ago and was geocaching related as well. We don't remember the iguana from that visit so either we are not very observant or it has popped up since then.
A cool painting and well deserving a cache. I hope rediguana can tear himself away from Ingress long enough to find it one of these days . TFTC.

#10316. Parking was not great at GZ. Troodles stayed in the car, and after signing the log drove off and parked by the bridge. Loved the iguana; it was crying out for a cache. Also spotted a couple of fluffy pukeko chicks by the river; very cool. TFTC.
I have been intrigued by what I might find here ever since the CO was telling me about finding this perfect place since before it was published. Can't really explain why its taken so long to get to see it for myself though. Very good! Carried on to Cable Bay to enjoy watching the waves etc for a while. TFTC #7500
Spending a beaut w/e at Cable Bay and doing a few walks with a side of cache . Thanks SoBad for drawing our attention to the art work that we may not have stopped to 'inspect'.
This was the second day of a fifteen day trek going down to the South Island and hitting the Christchurch Mega. I am staying at the Cable Bay Holiday Park, so I got this one. TFTC.
Came out on a trip today to make a Drive By of Bulwer.
Realised on my way home that I keep forgetting to detour to collect this smilie so today I finally remembered and called by early evening.
Gav was (is) a legend so good to remember him and I'm stil finding the odd one of his caches. It seems that Ingress is his latest passion.

Found on a very cold morning. This winter would have to be the coldest since the 90s
mrs capperz, and nightowl19's holiday on the South Island is over which means a run to the airport at Nelson to get them home. We spent a pleasant morning in and around Nelson doing some of the sights; Cathedral, Tahuna beach, views from up above the beach and it was another great day weather-wise too. All good things must come to an end though and once they were safely up in the air and away I turned on the G P S and had a little look-see for a few before all the daylight deserted me.
What a great Muriel (as Hilda Ogden used to say). Glad to actually find a SoBad cache today and a reward for coming down this little road with such fantastic views all along, wow

Cool! Now that's the sort of graffiti that should be encouraged. Drove past GZ and pulled over where it seemed a bit safer to park and walked back to the cache. No problems there. TFTC, Biggles.
Decided to pop and grab this one before work this morning. Loved the "graffiti" too. Thanks SoBad!!
Out for a Sunday drive in the X1/9 and saw there were a couple of new caches in this direction. I found a park up the road a bit and walked back to find the cache in the first place I checked. Nice when that happens. Interesting artwork at gz. The work of a long lost Aboriginal tribe?
Thanks SoBads for the cache.

I saw this published the other day, but was in the wrong place at the wrong time to attempt a FTF. I was puzzled by the title initially, and although we are aware of the namesake in question through a couple of GPS-based pass-times, the real significance became apparent as we approached the GZ.
A quick find, but a good location.
Thanks guys

After a walk at Rabbit Is to find the two new caches there we decided on an evening drive out this way to look for this one. The feature does look impressive but a revisit in daylight will show it better I'm sure. I don't recall seeing this on previous visits out here. Thank you SoBad.
Not sure what to expect at GZ it was literally highlighted on the final approach. Thank you Sobad for placing this cache.
