Three things can ruin any geocache. This is true no matter what the age of the cache and whether a geocache is a creative hide, a geocache that delivers hikers deep into the untamed wilderness, or fantastical Puzzle Cache with a big surprise twist.

If the geocache is soaked through with water, the container is cracked or geocachers don't know it's a geocache because it's not marked/identified, it's what some people call a #fail.

To avoid the #fail, CO's need to make sure their geocache is D2W compliant. It should be:

- Durable
- Water-tight
- Well-marked

Found in a pretty soggy state. One of the clips wasn't quite closed properly. Left a little surprise for next cacher. Tftc!!

Cache found after checking all the other spots first. Cache was in good condition, not sure what issue abl973 had with it.

A deserted park today, it was only us and the birds chirping. This turned out to be a quick find, and as we wandered along the path I noticed a coin that has become a permanent feature.

I found this cache today but it's in need of some TLC. Unfortunately I didn't have what I needed with me to complete a field repair.

Good way to start the weekend!

Came by again today to drop off a TB, but also picked one up!

The traffic was absolute madness tonight.
Headed north from my usual route to see what caches I could find.
This park seemed like a good place to stop and have a look around.

This looked a likely quick find after work. I strolled over to GZ aware of a couple of muggle families a little distance away enjoying the warm sunshine. I pottered about content to bide my time and keep my investigations passive until they left.
But they didn't leave, did they?
After a typical struggle, I found the cache inappropriately exposed and grabbed it while the muggles were distracted. But after signing the good sized cache, I was then stuck with it in hand, lol.
With all the speed of a racing glacier, the muggles EVENTUALLY cleared off, leaving me to secrete the cache in a more suitable position.
Thanks zuzgolab, for a great reason to catch some rays.
All is well with the cache.

Today it was car service time and that my excuse to bring it over this way and find a few caches while I'm waiting. So I jumped on my bike and headed off to see what I could find.
This one didn't take very long to find, the log was signed and I was on my way to the next one.

On arrival it was a little harder to find than it should have been, however I was able to grab a TB, much to my surprise which I had only recently dropped off elsewhere!

With WWFMXIII event #2 getting us out and about at ridiculous o'clock, I may as well take advantage of the deserted streets and nab a few more caches...

An opportunistic park-and-grab that I spent a bit more time at than originally expected, as this was the first cache container that I was prepared to leave a traveller inside, and I had to go back to the car for it.

A quick find on a quiet Saturday morning. Nice size cache for such an open public hide. TFTC zuzgolab.

Spiffy- and I are approaching our 4000 and 3000 milestones and after a little persuasion he agreed it would be good to find them at the same cache on the same day - Leap Day. So today I needed 18 caches to get to the same number as him ready for the final assault on the milestone together on Leap Day. I parked close by and the park was free from muggles making for a quick search and find. Thanks zuzgolab for the cache.

Today Mr80 and MrX had a long trip to make so when Mrs80 dropped him off the ladies spent a few hours caching nearby. As this was MrsX's territory there wasn't many she hadn't visited but kindly offered to be Mrs80's navigator. Co-ords took us straight there. TFTC

I had no idea this gem of a small park was here so close to Blackburn Road. Many thanks for bringing me here. My phone was being fickle, so I put the co-ords into my GPS unit and was drawn immediately to the correct spot. It was a surprise to see a suburban cache larger than micro. The cache was in good condition and I added an extra bit of camouflage to help it stay that way.

We tried to find this one a few months ago but this time the GPS had us in a totally different spot and there it was took TB TFTC

After a nice, little ride this morning in the sunshine, we found this cache almost too easily!!!! After signing the log, we placed it a little bit more hidden location as it seemed really obvious from standing nearby! TFTC and bringing us to this quiet reserve in the suburbs.

Suscoe was out early today to wander about this area of Melbourne in search of caches of all types.
The day started out quite drizzly and later on it became sunny.
Traffic was light on most roads which was appreciated.

A special trip was made to find this cache and retrieve the travel bug that was in it. The travel bug was released in England last July by a cousin to reach us before our Aussie Flag reached him. The aussie flag won the race after 4 months, it managed to fall into the right hands and direction it needed to go. This TB wandered around in America for quite some time then we found out it did get to Australia and into a cache not too far away. (25km). TFTC

Found it! It was basketball day! After watching Geo-nephew shoot three goals and his team win the game at the stadium on Leeds St, I made a detour here before heading off to piano. A quick find with a couple of Muggles busy with the swings! TFTC SL

Number 600 yer boi tftc. Was out with geopartner tonight and knew i had to get 3 tonight to make it too my 600th cache saw this one was nice and close to the road so drove down here and picked it up nice and quick

An easy find at 16:15 with no real camo but nearby there were many play muggles If ever they clean up the rubbish the cache could go with it. TFTC

We were on our way to Melbourne from Beaufort today to visit two sets of relatives, so of course we planned some caches to get us through the day. This one was in the same street as where we had to be for lunch, so it had to go on the list. This is one of my few remaining calendar days, so was determined to knock it off this year. So after an early finish due to a sick alpha female, and then a trip to the physio myself, and before a quick stop off at the shops, I dashed in here for a quick find.

Told to keep out of the house to give geoprince some time to do his project without disruption. Off went when geoprince decided to call grandpa and oma to also come along. We played in the playground until they arrived.

The weather was really lousy tonight but I braved it of a single cache to fill a hole in calendar and this one was closest to home! Parked and walked briskly in light rain, quick hunt once at GZ and the cache was in hand. Thanks to zuzgolab for this one.

After returning in a roundabout way from the airport I was passing here so stopped by.
Muggles in the park so I read a few logs and decided exactly where it would be and walked past while keeping an eye on the muggles and reached down and grabbed it and moved away to sign.
Did the same thing on the way back and they were none the wiser.
