I last tried looking for this 200kms away as Id got the degrees wrong!?!Today it was a quick find. TFTC.
Found this afternoon whilst returning from a winery experience. It was a perfect day for wineries and caching. Whilst not the expected container it was most certainly a familiar one to me and my line of work. TFTC
Careful it doesnt fall down!!We are out finding the last of the Rutherglen Easter 2023 Mega caches and decided to find a few others along the way. We noticed that this one had been replaced recently (thank you!) so not better time to find it. As always, a beautiful sunset tonight.
I have 3 main objective for this weekends caching run, first is to complete the final location for Adventure Lab Bollards Bonanza North in Whittlesea then secondly on to Ned Kelly County to get the final for Neds Last and Final Stand multi which has been on the to do list for ages but sadly when I arrived at the gate to start my walk I discovered they where doing planned burns and there was No Public access so I abandoned that and came to Wangaratta to finish off all the Adventure Labs and a few caches and then thirdly across to Corowa to get my Centriod cache so I can log the physical cache in Williamstown. After that I will be just free wheeling my way back home to Gippsland. Signed log and replaced. And got a great pic of sun setting over Gz. Thanks to everyone who placed there caches.
We solved this little puzzle in anticipation of last year's Mega event, but ended up prioritising other puzzles and so this one remained unfound. Until today, that is. It was quite lovely driving around these roads again and a joy to find the hide for the cache. Thanks for bringing us back out here. TFTC
Well I am still making my way back from the Canberra Geobash Mega (it is such along way between Melbourne and Canberra if you dont take the direct route).I have been stopping along the way to do a few different series and to also tick off a few challenge caches as well. After spending the night in Beechworth to help find Randolph I happened to catch up with someone who reminded me that the Brolga Bill Puzzle series in Rutherglen was about to get archived very soon.I had worked out all of the puzzles previously for them and did not have time to find them during the mega So it was decided that a day in Rutherglen was called for so I booked myself into a motel in Wahgunyah for the night.I studied the picture closely and I thought I knew which one was which and guess what I was right as I located the replacement cache at the GZ that I picked.Im glad I did this one today as it started raining this evening and went all night. Thanks TeamThommo and GeoGranni TFTC.
Replaced where the cache was originally hiding Today on my way home from the Capital Geobash in the ACT, I made my way from Wagga Wagga to Rutherglen via Albury/Wodonga. I started off with the Pub series followed by a few along the way and a few small trails around last years mega. Unfortunately half way through the day I fell from a try about 6m up but was okay to continue on. Thanks for the cache
Wagga Wagga Expedition Day #2 **A DNF on this one.** After my day of work on Friday, I jumped into the car and headed off to Wagga for the weekend. Of course for the Geocaching Expedition events and various caches. Given that I live so close to Wagga, I decided on finding the caches further away. This included a trip to Rutherglen to find the BBP power trail and anything else I could find along the way. But Johno, isn't that a 2 hour trip each way (4 hours total) and that does not include finding the caches. Yes, that is correct but it was all for a good reason. This is for a few reasons, including (but not limited to): I was yet to find them, it would make for a great day out and they are getting archived soon. Last night I was able to convince ADACacher to join me. We left at about 5:40am and returned just in time for today's event at 5pm. It was a great trip and many caches were found. A few missing logsheets which have now been replaced. Hopefully, I can at some point get back for to find the mutli-caches before they are archived. Anyway, I loved the day and so did ADACacher! Now time to rest up and get ready for tomorrow. Sorry about the generic logs but given the amount of caches found today, that was going to happen. If there were any notable caches found, a full log is to follow. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTC's! **A DNF on this one.**
Out and about for a drive with Mrs Wackyweedo today with no real plan, just a drive and a chat and a few caches….oh and a Parkers Pie!
We decided to grab this one today due to the amount of fave points it had to go toward this months Wheel of Challenges. This puzzle has been solved for a few years but never really detoured this way so was nice to finally tick it off.
Yabbies are interesting little creatures! Used them to catch the odd fish.
A lovely drive out to this one admiring the many canola crops.
TFTC. Cheers

Pleased to finally grab this one. We've had a dnf annoying us on our map for 6 years! Old mate yabby was off visiting friends last time we called past. Pleased to report that he was home & happy to have visitors today. Quick park n grab with MrsH before heading for a parkers pie. Tftc TeamThommo. Fav from us
In the area with AnyMules, brisal5 and 6Hinemoa2 signing all logs as BAB6 to save space in the log books or their personal stamp. This may be the ageing Bushfires last Mega as the effects of advancing MND continues to advance but as I said that after the Whittlesea Mega, we will see.
I must thank my three mates and lots of other folk for all the help that I have received over the last year or so for which I will always be very grateful. This cache was found on our travels around this great area while attending the Mega Event in Rutherglen early April 2023.
I am slowly logging these caches but I don't know if I will finish but time will tell.
You never know what life has in store for you so you must expect the unexpected.
Thanks to TeamThommo for placing this cache.

On a bit of a country tour today with ilook4geo before getting to Corowa and doing some more cache hunting in town as well as around that area. This one was no problem to find after checking which sort it was and it was a good sized one at that. Both names were added to the log all was put carefully back into place. Thank you to TeamThommo for placing this cache and thanks go to Geogranni for looking after it. Fav for the camo.
Came along with goingplaces2 to find this cache. Container was located, the log was signed and all was replaced as found. Job done! This one almost looked edible. TFTC.
One of our favourite delicacies and to find one already cooked and waiting for us deserves a favourite point. Thanks for the education too. Tftc
I am still in the area after attending the Rutherglen Mega and this cache was on my list to find.
Caching as JALEAR, consisting of the awesome team of JooJoo57, Richmond Lad, endeavour3, TeamAstro and deanside. Really enjoying the Mega, the comraderie and the caches. Thanks for these caches!
Have wanted to find this one for quite a few years and finally got to visit today and it didn't disappoint.
Feeding it a favourite point to keep it happy.

Found with silverfoz1970 and firebatman88 during our recent trip to Rutherglen for the mega event. It was a great day out walking and catching up with old caching friends. Some of the puzzles were easier to solve than others, but all were fun. TFTC.
Found on the way from Rutherglen to Corowa for today's events. Easy puzzle which is always a great thing. Drove most of the way in my cheap 2WD before walking the last muddy stretch on foot. Quick find at GZ. Awesome container, very well done. Lovely location in the morning before 8am. TFTC!
Finally at Rutherglen and here for a week caching as Team JALEAR (joojoo57, Aussie Liahona, Richmond Lad, Endeavour3, Team Astro and Deanside) Loads of caches found and signed as well as some interesting places visited. Thanks to all the COs who placed caches around the region for our enjoyment of finding.

A good puzzle to solve and find just before starting the BBP series.
Found with Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid -signed as NZBITS. We are one group of several kiwis over here for the Rutherglen Mega at Easter. It’s going to great with so many sessions of things I want to learn about. PLUS so many caches to find.

During our stay in mega event what a great lovely drive out here quick find and placed back where it belong TFTC
Our last ditch effort to get to 6000 finds by the end of the day, but with suspected cracked ribs, we are a bit slow.
Having the tick with the multis a couple of days ago, the morning challenge was to finish the northern run and gather others we had missed, DNF'd or solved after our last trip here.
Surprised geohubby by not telling him what to expect hahaha

**Mystery Find #1010**
Monday of the Rutherglen Mega Event. A fine but windy day and the wind was bitterly cold at times. Only one DNF today and we were able to find that on a return visit. Mostly mystery caches were found today including around six that we hadn't solved but were able to find by looking at proximity circles in Cachly and also looking for tyre tracks and cacher trails. An excellent assortment of caches and all were well placed. Apologies for this generic log but there were far too many to remember individual caches.
**Thank-you to TeamThommo for placing this geocache**

Stopped off on this one part way through collecting the BBP series of series of puzzles. After all, can't leave a lone puzzle cache lying around! The subject matter is interesting. Are there fresh water crayfish around here?
Found during an awesome 10 day Aussie trip, centered around the Rutherglen Mega event. Log signed as NZBITS, for NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid.

Time for our next exciting geo adventure - Rutherglen Mega. NZ_B, the Seagnoid and I are here from NZ. Found after doing the nearby power trail ( s ). quick find. Logs stamped as Mystery Randoms today.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

Travelling with n0w0rries +Wife, on a crustacean hunt.
What's more fun than logging a cache each side of the border? Getting consecutive smileys on caches by the same hider. Bonus points if they're part of a series.
This was the first of just such a pair. I had to decide which coordinates we went to, as n0w0rries had found it a couple of days ago.
Imagine my relief when there was a yabbie staring back at me.
Thanks, TeamThommo and Geogranni.

The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
Another one solved from home and stopped to find as we drove past.
Thanks for the cache TeamThommo.

Stamped as JAMS - JJ52, alllister w, mogni, sir_spectre. All of these teams are from South Australia and after some major planning we managed to find approx 700 caches while being away for a week. Also qualifiied for a variety of challenges, found LGA's and had lots of laughs. Found while attending the Victorian Mega in Rutherglen.
Thanks

Thanks TeamThommo and Geogranni for adding to the enjoyment we have experienced while at the Rutherglen MEGA. We were kept so very busy out geocaching every day for 8 days with JooJoo57, RichmondLad, Endeavour3, Team Astro, and Deanside. This was one of your caches we found and the log was signed JALEAR to save log space during the MEGA with so many of us exploring the countryside and around the little towns.
Cheers and happy caching! (Sorry for the late log. Hubby and I were both sick when we got home and have been attending to little grandies and time has been very short).

My first puzzle cache I always avoided these because I thought they would be too hard or not as quick an easy as this one, until I found out otherwise when I joined in on the puzzle solving session. Thanks for the dinner whoops I mean cache.

The day started with an egg hunt and a bike ride, then it was a BBQ lunch before tackling all the new explosion multis. The farewell event was the last on the agenda for the day and it felt like a great send off.

Well! That was certainly a new puzzle and subject for us.
We were grateful to YouTube for helping us work our way through what was needed with this puzzle, but that was sorted many months ago.
A short, but bumpy road into GZ, and, upon finding the hide, we chuckled at the appropriateness of the container, but were also grateful to discover that our coordinates were indeed correct.

**Rutherglen Mega Day 2**
Today was the BIGGEST day for us! An early start, with the goal of completing the entire "Easter" Wherigo series and "BBP" series. A couple other stragglers and new caches diverted our attention briefly, but we were able to stick to the goal until after the sun went down!

A weekend with Dino at the Victorian Mega in Rutherglen over Easter Friday to Sunday. To find lots of caches and have lots of fun. Quite rainy on Friday with a very painfully delayed trip over from
Canberra to make it here just before closing. Today's Saturday weather looks much nicer.
Caching this trail with a group. Signing as BLAS FD
This is one of the caches we found today. Thank you TeamThommo looked after by Geogranni for putting this one out.

Time to team up with my ole mate Slowdog today for his first day at the Rutherglen Mega. Today our plan was to mainly find these puzzle caches we solved weeks ago. Most caches were a straight forward find, a few we ended up teaming up with other cachers as we crossed paths and temporarily joined forces. After all we were all on the same mission.
In Rutherglen for the Mega, headed out today to complete these caches, logs were sign or stamped GUSHBSTDTT to save space on the log. Thanks
Thanks to TeamThommo for placing and maintaining this cache.

SA’s Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
I had been working my way through the BBP series and had met up with Tis13 and Slowdog in my adventures. They suggested collecting this one, and as I had already solved the mystery, I headed off with them.
We had a good chat as we walked along, and Tis13 made the quick find at GZ. All I can say is, I'm glad I'm not allergic to shellfish.

After making sure Bluey our gadget cache was up and running ok we headed out for a morning of caching with the BBP Puzzles being the main target. All the puzzles were solved before the Mega, mostly solely, some as a group effort in the Zoom Puzzle solving Group. After finding the road on which most of the puzzles were hidden was getting a bit soft we decided to head off we decided to leave those caches for later in the day when the sun would have dried the track out a bit. We then spotted a cache on our car GPS which was by you guys so that determined our next location! Heading there via the most direct rd we found this one was was getting a bit dicey too, so after an 8 point turn we headed around the longer way, parked at the intersection and walked the last few metres. Cache was a nice easy find.

Found as part of the Rutherglen mega. Abandoned the car a few hundred metres away at the track was getting a bit uncomfortably boggy!
We've been touring the wineries and dropped by to grab this one. Learned something new about yabbies. Tftc

Staying in town overnight.
The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual CO’s, the fantastic photo opportunities and sometimes finding places that even some locals don’t know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most CO’s take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. I love traveling this big land of ours. I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own.
Found this one whilst at the Mega.
Thank you TeamThommo for highlighting this area and for adding this cache to my real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts. Plenty of puzzles solved prior to heading off and a fantastic variety of caches found.

Day 2 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Fitzy_1965 and I jumped in with albida33, smittengranny and Sol de lune signing as MAFSS or FAMSS. First up we did some caching close to town before teaming up with nibletricecakes and GLISS! then heading to Chiltern. The weather was average, with the occasional rain cell blowing through to make life interesting.
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 2. Up early as the sun hits our van and our eyes super early these days now that daylight savings has finished. Pretty soon our group hit the roads with our eyes on many many caches to find. Today we cached around the Rutherglen and
Chiltern regions. We even managed a quick trip around the solar system - Lol ! Quick find once at GZ to avenge a December 2022 DNF due to flood waters.
Thanks TeamThommo !!

The road was a bit slippery with the rain, but the rental car made it with only a little extra coaxing. TFTC.
Grabbed some nibbles for lunch down at Chiltern and headed up to Rutherglen for the event. Added Wilby Warrior to the car and headed off for some caches. Unfortunately it rained heaps. So dodged raindrops it was. Signed logbook as KAM WW. Thanks for the cache geogranni
