A quick find once I had the correct perspective. Thanks for the cache StrangeTrousers
I was in a rush to get somewhere at a certain time after work, and Id picked this geocache to be a nice, quick grab to get my daily and then be on my way again - I was wrong Despite parking right in front of it, I had somehow missed it and made a beeline towards an immediate object, and when that proved unlikely, I slowly made my way around to every other object in the area, this side of the carpark, and the other. I searched high and low, and through, peeking through foliage in trees, unearthing rocks that didnt even look like fake rocks (as, you know, they werent.) and playing with something unbudgeable on a metal pole, determined to make it budge. Even a magpie walked over and looked at me at one point, curious to know what I was doing. I explained that I was geocaching, and satisfied with the answer, he wandered off again to take his grub back to his family.Running out of time and frustrated with reading every single log going on about how they had literally never found anything easier, I gave up, resigning myself to having to go find another one in the dark after my thing this evening in order to keep up my streak. I was about to drive off when I saw something that might prove likely, and I berated myself for missing it before Id even grabbed the object. Sure enough, there it was! This cache had brilliant camouflage and protection from muggles, and me, apparently. I got a bit frustrated whilst trying to find it after walking right past it, but now that I think back on it, Im glad I did it. Perspective really does changes everything, huh? Thanks for the cache
Watching my nephew play a game of soccer this was a chance to redeem this cache DNF from a few years ago. Found it immediately this time, a classic cache, plenty of cars but all the muggles were watching soccer. Tftc
Catching up on some late logs when attending the Geobash Mega in Canberra. Took the opportunity to explore the many sights in and around Canberra and grabbed this one along the way.Grabbing a few last find ones before leaving this area. This was an easy enough find once at GZ.Thanks StrangeTrousers for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Found tonight after forgetting to check the area for nearby caches during yesterday's CITO. We had to be stealthy as there were a few people in the car park further along. They were busy checking out the engines of their vehicles, not looking too interested in what these two oldies were up to.
We stay for a week in Canberra with TBU1BIKESU for the MEGA 2024.We are stopping for some smileys. We found this cache and signed the log. Thanks for the cache to the CO.

Well it is Canberra Geobash Mega time and Im spending 6 nights up here on the Mega site and also the ACT has put on some brilliant weather for us so far during the day.Well it is day 4 for me and it was a very fresh and chilly start to the morning for the 5am event.Back to the Mega site for a coffee then I was going to start with finding a few Virtuals for a challenge cache.Left site as the sun was coming up to beat the crowds. After spending a fair bit of the morning around the lake and surrounds collect Virtuals, then it was trek up Mt Painter to find a few more plus Canberras first in the afternoon now it is time for the CITO.After the CITO Team GPORk reformed and soon became GPPORK.We met up at the Deep Extra Cover carpark and with another cacher standing right near GZ we knew where to look. With great coords the cache was soon located, signed and returned. Thanks StrangeTrousers TFTC.
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them.Quick find by BFG before I barely got there.

Another day of the Canberra mega and another day racing around collecting caches of different types, sizes and terrains. Today I was with Bluewattle and Snickersallan and it was another big day with some very nice tree climbs and some fun little walks. We mostly worked around the area on caches we solved or had a little time to solve. It was an early start with a 5 am April fools day event, of which there was a fair few people attending. Considering the early start we head off to get some breaky and then start caching. It was a great day and a lot of laughs and continuous jokes during the day. This was on the list for today and a long list that seemed to get longer and longer as the day went on. On the way to an event we saw this one near by. Managed to catch the owner doing some maintenance and replacing logs. This was a nice cache, we signed the log and returned it as found, thanks for the hide.

A quick and lovely find as we drove back from Mitchell today.
It was a rainy day, and so we had decided to spend a couple of hours sorting through some of our storage facility. This was a reward on the way home.

#2498 After doing our part for the CITO, DeadThief and I took a moment to collect a Trad nearby. A nice quick find on a type that would once have left me scratching my head. Thanks strangetrousers for placing this one.
Of course I couldn't give up, my weekend off for any other reason than Geocaching. With four Geo-events at Canberra and a bonus friend’s party Saturday night meant that is where I'm headed. It was a great weekend full of fun, dancing, catching up with friends and finding many Geocaches along my travels. This was one of the caches or events, I found (or DNF) or attended at some point over the weekend. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC's and TFTE's!
Having arrived early to the CITO, I decided on finding this cache. A nice quick find at GZ and now time to CITO.

#570 After clearing a good chunk of the area of rubbish during the nearby CITO this morning, Turtle, a few others and I moved over to make this find. A quick find, however a slightly different design than I’m used to seeing, mind you, years ago I would have never thought anything of it. Thanks for placing this one strangetrousers

Nice quick find tonight as everyone else was heading off for tea. stupidly we neglected to bring a pen so took a photo of the log as proof we found it. Himself also deployed his boyscout skills and signed V with a grass stalk but it didn't work - sorry!
My geocaching name is too long for that tiny piece of paper. I wrote the date and SE21. I need a better pen.
