I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi peniknz
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Was super confused looking for stairs everywhere but then reread the description and figured out it wasn’t near them. Tftc was an easy find after that. Nice new log book too which was in much better nick than the old one
Yes, it is a bit like snakes and ladders up here; this cache being on a snake.
As has previously been mentioned, the log is wet mash due to the container leaking. I found the cache on the footpath with the lid elsewhere, so reunited the pair.
GZ has become a dumping ground for someones rubbish which helps the cache fit into it's surroundings.
As the log is unusable I placed a sheet of waterproof paper inside a small ziplock bag just to keep it alive, it could do with some TLC though.
TFTC.

Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/).
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

After arriving in Normandale I stopped in a random place to get my bearings and see where the caches were. Coincidently this case was just 10m away. Nice easy find for my first find in this suburb. TFTC.
5th in the series for us this afternoon- alittle backwards.
Parked down the road alittle bit and walked up, as was alittle unsure where it was, the obvious seemed to obvious...!
It's cold, wet and blustery. I can't help but wonder, as hail bounces off the windscreen, 'What am I doing?'. Nevertheless, log signed with slightly blue fingers and a bright shiny smiley appeared on the map. TFTC!
As is the tradition for our family, we went to Nana's place for dinner this Sunday. I decided to try and find this one on the way home.
Thank you

Sigh. Looked for stairs. Re-read description. Nowhere near stairs (95 of them by the way. Steep!!)
This was our first find of the series. We parked above GZ and not having read the cache page properly were a little confused when we could find neither a snake or a ladder in the vicinity but it all became clear when we continued down the hill and found the very steep steps. TFTC
Quick find today with The Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly. Thank you.
Cache # 530

Did today with The Wandering Dragons and Astro Hunter. A very fast find on the end of the good weather today, Thanks.

Cache # 2,715 - Did today with Astro Hunter and Violet Butterfly. A very quick find. All good with the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!
#1289. Out for quick dash to Normandale tonight. I could see a big band of rain coming towards the city so managed to get here and quickly find this one before the rain arrived. Signed log in the car. Logbook all dry and cache OK. Returned as found. Off to the next one. Thanks for the cache.
My first of the Snakes and ladders series. Will try the others on a walk in warmer weather soon.

Headed for a part of town that I don't have any smiley faces in - in fact, have never even been up here before. First of the series. Quick find. TFTC.
Found with Wafflekitties, cache was right out in the open, cache is re hidden better now
Quick find, couldn't see any stairs though... maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. TFTC
2nd of the day and I was hoping to do more of this series but today's weather was not helping! A quick find. TFTC.
As expected, this was a very quick find. Plenty of after work traffic passed as I made my way to and from the cache site but only one vehicle passed while I rapidly completed the paperwork.
On the way home from work and as it was such a nice morning (well a change from what we have recently been experiencing) that I thought why not stop by a cache or two. This one was on the way to another so it was first up. I read the cache page but then misinterpreted it as I thought I needed to be on a ladder. So was looking about for one. Following the GPS I arrived at GZ which wasn't quite what I was expecting - arh the surprises of geocaching Cache found without issue, log signed and then returned. No problems with muggles doing any "circuits" at this time of the morning. TFTC
Enough time for a slightly longer trip to the bottom of the hill - via a couple of views and then a snake. We were certainly snaking our way down the road - although the spot was not quite where Mrs Sobad had assumed it might be. Found by her sister as she was checking the cache size.
Thanks.
Thanks.
My first of the series. A good idea too, as there are plenty of ups and downs around here! All safe & sound TFTC
Had to wait for passing muggle traffic before replacing but then the coast was clear for a good while, no one out running the steps either. Tftc
Filling in a dot day with a little lunch time caching. Just as I was congratulating myself on finding a muggle free cache two walkers came around the corner. They kept walking so I guess they missed by suspicious detour.
Good parking just up the road then wandered down the road to the GZ. All quiet this afternoon. TFTC
Decided today was the day to "do" the snakes and ladders. Nice find for the youngest one before we started to climb back up the hill.

Converting a onesy to a foursey, so nicely placed caches in the 'hood do the trick.
Straightforward find on this one. Cache in order; log signed, then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Day-filler required here, so a nice easy find the order of the day, and this fitted the bill nicely after work.

#6259. Found a safe parking spot 60 metres up Miromiro Road, so a short walk to GZ. No other walkers or runners today, so it was all quiet. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
#598 - A very quick find after a short wander up the hill. Keep your eyes out for a very interesting mailbox in the nearby street. TFTC
Called here this morning on a diversion on the way to Upper Hutt. The cache was an instant find in the obvious spot. Signed log, TFTC
As I walked up from Normandale Road (having got that far by bus) I debated whether to use the steps or the hairpin on my way to GZ- the question was settled by the fact that two female runners/walkers were just ahead of me and used the steps so I didn't want to appear to be following them. Interestingly they emerged at the top about the same time as I reached it!
From there a straightforward find once I got to GZ.. Too late to do this now but one solution to having to having to place the cache so far from the steps might have been to have a multi.
There is a bit of a scent of sweets in the container, as it is reasonably sealed when the lid is closed this may not be too much a problem but sometimes it can be attraction to animals and ants. So might be worth washing it out with detergent when you have a chance.

Out and about with tmann421 today collecting a few of the local caches.
A nice quick find.

I saw this one published while I was out and about on an errand and thought about grabbing it but then saw a closer one released so decided to go for that one. I missed out on FTF and even 2TF on that one but met the CO who told me about this series. I wasn't going to go for this as one FDF per day is enough . After getting home I thought about it for a bit and thought "why not?" and so off I went and was rewarded with the blank log sheet. Dropped off Terry TB, and looking forward to the rest of the series. TFTC
