Visiting the area to lunch with an old workmate. I am early as the trains are running so well, so had time for a little deviation to find this one. No pen with me so took pic. TFTC contactpete
Chasing counties for contesta. Coords on wrong side but looked in obvious spot.Day 3 and doing some random stuff before heading back home.Up with a group from Canberra running around the Penrith area. Signing as CPI24. for Canberra Penrith Invasion. Thanks for getting me out and about contactpete
Find # 129317/10/2024 Caching adventures continue in Day 3 of the long weekend. Ticking off some of the challenge caches as well as many on the solved puzzles around Penrith surrounds as we can. Fabulous weather for caching, and great to get some warmth too! this is one such cache, found and signed Joolay and self All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks contactpete for GreyStanes Creek Bike/Walking Track #2
Simple find although the lid is gone! Likewise no log paper. ECIH (empty one) with TBs Canadian Flag and Swiss Duck in tow.New cache would be desirable. Photo sent to CO contactpete as proof of my log.
The GPS had me on the wrong side of the path, I noticed there has been some maintenance been done on the path and thought my have gone but I noticed another spot a cache could be and yes it was there. The lid was really hard to open because it’s really rusty.
Looking for caches by public transport from Parramatta. Hopped a train out to Toongabbie and walked down here. The area has seen better days. Started looking where GZ was but then thought where would I hide it? And found promptly. Thanks for hiding this one.
Easy find on a chilly morning for mid December. Working in the area and needing to fill a calendar date. Read previous logs so brought a new log and bag to replace unusable old one. TFTC
Amazing find and the logbook was pretty full so I couldn’t fit my name, wrote it on the back. Loved it please make more
Spent too long looking on the fence then scrolled down for some clues! Thanks
Took longer than expected, but was in an obvious place after checking a few times!
Teamed up with marj01 for a days caching, our first outing in a while. The break from caching has sharpened marj01's senses as he was on fire today when it came to finding the hides. TFTC contacted.
Nice walk to GZ from the car. Found quickly, but just had to wait for some muggles to walk by, I m,ade the grab, great cache. TFTC Signed as The Shoes x3
After a visit to the local fang farrier I wandered over to this bike track to see what all the fuss was about.
I listened to the rumble of a passing train and then saw a likely spot.
The spot gave up the prize, I signed the log and replaced the prize to live another day.

Needing to do a little bit of a walkabout, I found myself in Toongabbie, and as this one was nearby I decided to go ahead and grab this cache. The place is surprisingly tranquil, although I’d likely never be found here alone at night. Cache was found quite quickly, and after some wrangling (in a desperate attempt to get the log protector out before anyone came by) finally had the log in hand, and did the essentials. With the cache back in its hide, I proceeded southward, to see if I could nab another couple of containers some distance away.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!

Everything about this should have been straightforward but it wasn't.
Firstly I took a wrong turning at Windsor Road and it took 10 minutes to get back on the right route. Finally arrived at the chosen spot to leave the geomobile and walked towards GZ. Two muggles approached, one from each direction. They seemed to know each other so I had to stand around pretending to do various things, shoes, phone call, blow nose..... until they finallly parted company.
Then I made the quickest grab and log signing I could before anyone else came along.
There's a lot of different log sheets in the cache. Hope I signed the right one!

TFTC! Had a little spider friend hanging out next to it. But a stick helped me out!
A quick find on way to work this morning.
Container good condition.
Log dry. Once I sorted out the multiple logs and rolled it up into a tight roll I found plenty of room to sign.
Beautiful location.

Rummaged for 20 min with geokids but no success, even utilising hints of 'magnetic', 'low' and 8m away from gps point.
As I closed in on GZ there were two fairly obvious hiding areas, fortunately I chose wisely and picked the one with the prize first.

Eventually had to have my geo-beepers on rather relying on the GPS. Eventually found, hooray. Many thanks to the CO contactpete for organising and maintaining this cache.
Found it in the first place I looked. Signed the log as a train rumbled past, and also a couple of posties on push bikes.
Quick find but had to wait till muggles cleared before making the grab and signing log.
**The coordinates are slightly off, but misleading.** The actual cache is not terribly far from the listed coordinates, but they are misleading as there are many spots at the current coords.
The coordinates I got are: **S33 47.095 E150 57.056**

A bit of caching and business in the area today. Mrs A accompanied me to look for this one and we did a bit of searching as the GPSr was jumping around here. I took a broad view and saw that the hide could only be in a particular place. Found as Mrs A was continuing her search. TFTC contactpete.
Nice quick one here today, I spotted the likely hiding spot on approach and sure enough there it was. Only one city bound train passing while I was doing the signing duties. Nice easy one, thanks contactpete.
Nice quick & easy find after finding another cache nearby to earn the current GC Souvenir that's up for grabs! TFTC
The cache of the day, on my way to work. Arriving at GZ the cache was quickly found in the first location being searched.
Found with Coybear2000. We arrived at GZ and very soon had CIH, thanks to the hint. TFTC
Another one on the direction out here. Headed down the path and found a likely spot some 10m off the coords. Still it was a good spot and I was soon signing the log. Replaced as it was and took TB.
Thanks!
Thanks!
TFTC. Coords are not spot on. Look for an object other than the one you are standing at the given coordinates. Put in a clone TB. Please be careful with the TB I put in.
Team Omam from the Netherlands has only one aunt left. And as she will have her 100th birthday early February, we decided to join the birthday party. But …., she lives in Sydney Australia! An excellent opportunity for us to explore this continent once again and find Geocaches along the way. We will do a 3.5 weeks trip! At places where we will stay for a few days (Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Darwin), we will organize Meet and Greet events. We will try to find mainly caches with high favorite points, caches from 2000 and 2001, earth caches, webcam caches, virtuals and letter box hybrids.
Parked nearby and walked to GZ. It was the second place I checked and just as I grabbed it, a muggle walked from around the corner. WHEW, close. I SL and replaced again. TFTC.
As others have mentioned it wasn't exactly at GZ so looked again at the most obvious place again there it was. Nice easy find really.
Some days, you feel your eyes must be just painted on. I can't believe I missed this many times. Seriously easy cache, just not for me today. TFTC
Funny how the cache on the cycleway was found while on foot! TFTC. Thanx for a fun day of caching. Plenty left in the area for another visit.
Stopped by here after dropping geoson off at nearby friends place on a Sunday morning. Surprised at the number of muggles that walk along here in the 5 minutes I was here and had to wait a couple a minutes for a clear coast. Thanks Pete for the cache. The places geocaching takes you.
Cheers
