11/10/2016 - to 12.10pm - Nope - we didn't this one. 2nd of 4 dnf's & 27 finds for the day. [:0] Heading to The Surf Coast Event with surefoot24 & wal-len (signing or not signing this weekend as Bass Coasters). We just 'had' to do some caches on the way & during our puzzle solving evening the suggestion appeared to see if we could 'drop' by & see if we could find Eagle Rock but we didn't have any luck there either. We spend a bit of time hunting but no such luck for us today. Thanks for the hunt.
Add us to the list of DNF's for this cache. Mossies nearly picked us up and carted us off
Tried to find this cache today with a trackable but DNFI perhaps due to floods of 13th Sept?
Beautiful sunny day for caching today with crank1 and ozuk.
Found it nicely.
Dog walking are popular around here.
Thanks for bring me here and cache.

Yesterday we a big day of caching and travelling that involved events in both Colac and Lara. We had arrived in Geelong mid afternoon and thought we would be able to find a motel room somewhere, but we didn't realise that the Cats were playing Adelaide Crows, so there wasn't a room to find anywhere. One of the local motels suggested the Little River Hotel, and a quick phone call found us a room in the motel there. Turned out this was the the best thing anyway as it was just up the road from the Lara 2-in-1 Birthdays Event, the room was quite adequate, the surroundings really peaceful (except when the pub was going off on the Saturday night) and the casual vibe was great.
After checking out of the motel this morning, it was time to start caching our way home. But not before a few caches in Werribee and the obligatory search for the nearby Eagle Rock. The weather this week has been pretty miserable but the wind and rain had stopped so we grabbed the opportunity to get out walking and do this Dudleydadog walk.
This one was quickly located in between passing other walkers and their dogs. TFTC DudleyDaDog.

This took a little searching... phone GPS wasn't too happy today. But the cache was found in good condition and I had enough privacy from the constant stream of dog walkers up on the path. Thanks DudleyDaDog!
On a day out from Melbourne with the kidlets to visit the beautiful parks in the Werribee area. Tftc. Off to go find some more before it rains.

so cold today. i dont think i can do the rest of this walk today but found this one tucked away. clever hide
So was looking for a quick cache to grab to fill a whole on my calendar. The CO puts out some good caches so thought I'd take the drive out here and see what the trail was like. What a beautiful little area, Enjoyed the short stroll and can't wait to bring back Ace the Dog to try it out. TFTC (and sorry for the late log - thought I had already done it!)
After giving up on Eagle Rock, decided to grab a couple of easier ones nearby to make the 9yo (and me) happy. Found with Beelibones.
Found in the dark, after spending the second half of the afternoon not finding eagle rock! Have taken the trackable and will send it on it's way with a relative.
Ohhh yeh, spent 5 mins looking under the wrong tree, lol.
Signed log, thanks for the cache.

Found this whilst with my partner and his daughter... my geobub napped in his pram whilst we hunted for the cache. TB placed in the cache.

Having spent a couple of hours searching for the current nemesis of Melbourne on the other side of the river, it was great to head over to this one and discover a beautiful little area of this river. As others have noted, there was an interesting to see some sort of algae growing on the river. Seeing how it is taking over the surface, I'm sure it is not healthy for the welfare of the river.
Thanks for bringing us to this nice little spot. TFTC.

Bit tricky as my gps was going crazy. Finally found it after looking at the clue. Thanks
A quick and easy find as we were passing through the area. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.
Thanks DudleyDaDog for placing this cache.
Thanks DudleyDaDog for placing this cache.
We were travelling with maccamob and micaparamedic after attending the "Happy Birthday Kinkell1 - LXV" and collected the last of the legends series before coming here to try our luck at "Eagle Rock"
Not wanting to finish a great day with a DNF we continued here to try our first in this series.
This time we were rewarded with a nice easy find and our names have been added to the log.
We were surprised at how many dogs and owners were using the off leash area today.
Many thanks DudleyDaDog we will return for the other 5 another day.

While we chose to ride our bikes around this series, there were quite a lot of dawgs out walking their owners today, not quite sure if any of them were actually named Dudley! This was our first stop and good co'ords quickly had us in the right spot to retrieve a well hidden cache.
Our thanks to DudleyDaDog for bringing us to this location.

Unintentionally, this became my sixth and final find for the day after a pair of muggles decided to settle in for a picnic within hearing distance of GZ as I was just getting started on my first search. As this was the closest hide to my starting point, I decided to leave it and return on the way back.
I did this and was soon signing the log with no muggles to be seen.
Thanks DudleyDaDog, I'll be back for #5 when it is up and running again !

Pity I didn't have more time to spend caching in Werribee. This was the only cache I had time for. Thanks for the cache.
Hey Guys, well because we decided to do a couple of caches on this fine day, we went a few extra kilometres to the next lot of caches, the name had us intrigued "A walk in the park with Dudleydadog" what a name and as we approached GZ witch was spot on and that is great, we sat on a stone just to get our bearings and to take in some of the sights and sounds, that is when we spotted this amazing little thing called a cache, we again had to apply stealth mode as their were muggles everywhere enjoying this magic day.
There were big muggles and small of all kinds, with their dogs being trained and ones just being dogs, muggles on bikes and trikes, babies in prams and music in the air.
so caches beware the muggle, and a big thanks to DudleyDaDog

Werribee river walk part 2 for us today. First find in this park! Lots of lovely dogs bounding in and out of the trees, but the owners seem to be sticking to the top track!
Out caching today with Plymouth and RoadRunna, I was on a mission to find my 300th cache and RoadRunna her 600th.
This was cache #25for the day.
Thank You for the cache

After tackling a few down at Werribee river Park Mrs Blue Duck and I still had plenty of time so we decided to tackle half of this series. We parked close by and ignored the really difficult cache undet the bridge, this one was a great place to start. Well hidden and good condition. A few muggles walking their dogs but that is to be expected. At least it is not the weekend.
Find #2183. Found @ 23:44 with AmethystPig
We made the trek to the area to try our luck rocking out with Ross Wilson and the lads, but it was not to be. To console ourselves we went for a walk to grab the DudleyDaDog walk in the park series.
I levelled the scores by making the find here bringing it to 3 from 6 and 3 in a row... not that we're keeping score. This one was the one that we had the most problems finding, but in the end I happened to locate it.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache DudleyDaDog

Found at 2345 on a night caching stroll with SirJ-Oz. SirJ made the find on this one, after we'd searched all the obvious spots and a couple of the less obvious one. The coordinates seemed OK once the cache was in hand, so I suspect it was a case of looking where we thought it should be rather than where the arrow told us to be.
Thanks for the cache DudleyDaDog.

What an absolutely sensational series of caches along this suburban oasis in the middle of Werribee.
I've jogged the track in the second part of the series countless times but never ventured to this side of the river where the first few are located - I'm so glad you've taken us to this hidden gem.
We dedicated this series to our beautiful late dog Lucky the dalmatian - it was fun going on a virtual walk with you Dudley, and we were able to reminisce about our furry friend and how he would've adored this trail.
Geokid was thrilled with the swag - he was so appreciative of 'prize caches' where swaps weren't necessary, yet being the kid he is still insisted on adding some of his own treasures for future geokid visitors.
We had much success here on a lovely day, and managed to find all but pesky number six in the rocks. We were rewarded nonetheless with the amazing rock ford crossing.
Geokid loved crossing the weir - luckily we could today as my last few visits saw water spilling over the wall.
A very well-deserved favourite point here is indicative of the entire series including the nearby clever micro.
Thanks - a highly recommended series.

I have had my eye on this series since publication. Today being my RDO , it was the perfect opportunity to collect some smilies !! With the sun shining and a cool breeze blowing, I jumped on the bike and headed off. There were a ton of muggles with there 4 legged friends here today. Thankfully I wasn't disturbed in my searching. A very picturesque journey along the river was my reward. Thanks for showing me an area I had never visited before. TFTC DudleyDaDog
Wandered around a bit until numbers settled than there it was. Plenty of 4 footed wanderers! T4TC
I was in the neighborhood wasting my time on an unfindable cache. I should have just taken this virtual walk with Dudley! From this first find I knew this was going to be a satisfying experience. Thanks for the series! ps. took a TB.
After coming to the area with a free afternoon, we decided to pick up this one, and then realised it was a series, so off we went. Nice find for the kids. TFTC!
After spending some time looking for the d5 cache nearby came along for a walk along the river. Tftc all good
Found the cache at 12 noon after looking in a few likely spots. Then took Shadow to the off lead park, however after a few chasing games some of the other dogs started playing rough and their owners were rather too unconcerned for my liking. After sorting the fracas without too much loss of skin or fur we left.
We really enjoyed the walk along the the river and finding the caches, but I don't think we'll be back to this dog park.

Decided to grab a few caches to edge that little bit closer to the magic 10k mark. These were on the long way home after a nightshift in Melbourne enroute to Bacchus.
Glad I smuggled Tess the Geodog in to work too, as she enjoyed the run here of this terrific series of good sized caches. I jumped on the bike and we were on our way.
After going to the wrong location first, I soon zeroed in on the correct hiding spot here.
My thanks to DudleyDaDog for the series

had to be somewhere in the evening.

Today was my last day of freedom before starting a new job and my goal was to get to 300 finds before starting work. I wanted a series of caches that was going to get me over the line, and this was it. This walk has been on my to-do list since it was published as, many years ago, I had a dog named Dudley. He was a basset hound, always getting caught up in his ears, lol. I was expecting that the collection of these caches was going to be a 'walk in the park', however it proved to be a little more challenging than that. It was still a pleasant walk in the sunshine, an opportunity for me to contemplate the days ahead and indeed, the days gone by, as I thought of my long-gone dog and how much I think he would have enjoyed getting his ears wet here!
The first cache on this trail was found after a short search and I was on to the next location and my goal for the day—300 finds TFTC!

Found with our mum and dad taking them on their first caching experience.
This was a very pretty spot and one that I never knew about until today. It is always great to find a larger type container. I parked the car and thought a walk would do me good after a rather slow few weeks.
A few dogs out and about but all very well behaved.

I was on a mission with the little Na'wals today to grab some things for Mother's day. We don't travel into Werribee all that much but decided to come this way to day so we could grab a few finds too. So after being at the shops we moved the car to another car park and went in to find these ones. A great place for a series and a great walk along the river [^] I did see too many left dog logs from owners that don't pick up after them Had to dodge many of them. Cache was found quickly. Stamped and returned as found.
[blue]Thanks for this trad cache hide and series Dudley Da Dog. [^] Log and container were in good condition. TNLN [/blue]

What a great walk in the park! There was a series of caches along the Werribee River many years ago, right when I started geocaching. I couldn't finish the series as it was archived due to muggle interference, glad to be back walking the river in search of plastic goodness. Thanks for the cache, and the lovely walk.

We like to go for a nice walk and get a few caches on the way. The walk with Dudleydadog seemed like a good opportunity to do just this.
We were pleasantly surprised by the terrain, the views, the walk and the caches in this park! This was our first find for the day, not far from where we had left the car. The glimpses of all the little "lakes" that the Werribee River forms were just great.
Thank you for this enjoyable tour!
