As previously noted this one appears to have been destroyed. The inside of the lair has been completely burnt out
It is with great sadness that I confirm, Bat Cat is no longer with us. Unfortunately vandals burnt his home and he has fled.
Easy access and parking, considering all the traffic that passes on both sides of this park.
Just met up with friends in the Valley for lunch. This one fitted the bill - a quick park and grab on a public holiday.
Tftc peterwitcomb, a nice little park that I have taken for granted as I have driven past.

Early dusk when I came upon this one. Very little light but I was sure i knew where it was. Yep. Gotch ya.
Bat cat needed an extra signature so cape doned as I sprinted from car, grab cache, sign, return to car before unwanted sticker applied to windscreen and dashed off. Tftc! Bat Cat flies again ^_^
Found on a walk around Brisbane to Milton, spending a few hours geocaching before work commitments took over my life for a few days. An easy find, I grabbed the travelbug to take back to Melbourne with me. TFTC
Out testing a new GPS.
There is almost never anyone in this park but of course today there were muggles smooching nearby.
Never did figure out the GPS but still, found the cache using a bit of common sense.
Good to have one in this park again.
Left a coupla pathtags.
Thanks for the cache.

On a run into town, we ventured to this cache.
Parked the geomobile close by and soon was at GZ where the cache was spotted.
Signed the log and returned to hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks peterwitcomb All good with this cache

I really enjoyed this cache. It is a large cache for inner city and not too difficult and not too many muggled. TFTC Peterwitcomb
In Brisbane after the Oz Mega in Stanthorpe, waiting for our flight home, we picked up a few last minute finds. Left one of our Event Pathtags. TFTC

Over in Aussie for the MEGA!! WOO HOO!!!!
My second day out and about, and today I was on foot for the morning only - and then meeting mum and we were gonna pick up our hire car. So I should log these caches towards the Ramblers Reward Challnge (GC2XBA7) as I keep forgetting to do that... I left the accommodation place in beautiful sunshine at about 8am, and returned soaked half a dozen times through at just before 3PM. Crazy!
Wasn't too tricky. Managed to find in the end

Nice easy find at nearly 1am with Totalube. We had to loop back because there were cops very close by on the first loop. Nice sized container! TFTC! - I was wondering when someone would put a cache in this area (or more so back in the area).
Our first visit this morning was met with the flashing light of the police, we decided to tray a nearby cache, but 20 minutes later, they had moved on and Sezzz and I took little time to uncover this cache.
We saw a bat, but not a cat (with or without a hat )
Thanks

1541 - This one is only a few hundred metres from my work location, so I went for a walk to try to find it when the hide was only about 24 hours old, back on Monday 23rd Feb at around 12:10pm. How do I know it was this time, because I saw who I thought was a muggle sitting on the park bench closest to ground zero, eating fast food from a local outlet! So I didn't arouse any suspicions, I kept walking right past ground zero on the walking track and made it look like I was just a random muggle walking during my lunch break. The next day when I read the recent logs, I discovered that the person sitting very close to GZ eating fast food was actually a cacher (Teamtinda) who had probably found the cache only a few minutes before I arrived, because I also saw the people at the cafe, and the traffic controller controlling traffic where a few lanes were closed.
Anyway today I returned and found no one around the area and after looking in the likely spot I found a cache easily and in good condition at 1:12pm. Thanks for the excuse to get out and grab a cache at lunchtime peterwitcomb.

I have found a couple of other caches in this park over the years. I noticed that I was arriving at the wrong time to get a close park and had to find a spot on a side street and cross over to the area.
I headed to the search spot and noticed a likely hiding spot and I had to use the torch app on my phone to check it out before I put my hand in. Luckily the light showed up the cache and it was a twist and turn to get it out.
Glad to see such a size cache in the CBD area. Worth a fav point from me.
TFTC. Pity I didn't have any trackables on me.

Had a feeling of deja vu heading to the cache, as there was one previously close to this location. This is a good sized cache, yes seems like a bat cave. Nice to have a cache close to a busway station too. TFTC
I was heading into town this morning for an appointment so I thought I would find a few caches this way.
I have been to this park before but not here.
Of course I went the wrong way around before finding the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

I called by here on my way home from my radio shift today and found convenient parking A short walk brought me to GZ where I spotted the container straight away, but it was darn tricky to get out of its hidey-hole It's definitely a Bat Cat Cave TFTC, peterwitcomb.
PS: While I was feeding the parking meter I got attacked by a mynah bird Its nest was in the tree right above my head, and I heard a lot of cheeping, so beware!

Second cache find for Pi day. Decided to go for a morning walk and expand the ever growing cluster of smilies around Brisbane.

I have totally cleared out all the caches within about 3km radius of the cbd. So when a new one pops up I feel the urge to grab it ASAP. Well it is about a 4-5km round trip from my work to here. Today I visited the dr at the barracks so added on a short detour to here. A long hot walk at lunch time in business attire. Log all good. TFTC.
Having been a lean caching month, I decided I'd head out at lunchtime today and grab this cache on a nice lunchtime stroll.
Checked before I left, to see if TeamTinda had been out there (as I often run into him in the field - seems we're stalking each other!) No log form him...
Walked the kilometre or so to GZ and spotted the cache pretty easily. Retrieving it took a bit of effort as it didn't seem to want to fit - but it was in there so it has to come out! Cache came out after a bit of fiddling and I moved over to a nearby bench to sign the log.
IT was then I saw TeamTinda's name in the logbook with a "Took TB!"! I could almost see the smirk on his face reflected in his log, I'm sure he knew I'd be here at lunchtime!
Signing done, cache replaced, and it was back to work! TFTC, all in good condition!

Ah, DRML, we very nearly met again!
I grabbed some fast food and headed over around 12, being due back at work for a meeting at 12.30.
You know you've been caching for a while when you can remember collecting long archived caches in locations like this.
I wandered over slowly and kept my eye on both the young ladies at the hip café and my man the traffic controller further along the road, but when both ignored me, I made the grab... with difficulty, because yes, that is a tight squeeze into the Bat Cat Cave. Took the TB with pleasure and admired the pristine nature of the contents. Well done on this cache and feel free to put out some more so DRML and I can arrange more clandestine lunchtime meetings!

I had some excuse to run an errand so detoured via the city and St Lucia - they have hardware shops nearby, don't they?
Found a park nearby and wandere3d over to GZ. There was a man asleep on the seat as I approached. Once at GZ, I took a quick glance toward the seat and he was upright and looking around - time for me to leave.
Back half an hour later and parked on Countess street this time. I grabbed an umbrella as the rain was threatening. No-one at GZ. Turned on torch app on phone and spotted the container. A quick swish around with a stick to make sure the hollow was empty and then grabbed the cache. Seemed like it was covered in blood but I assume it was filtered rain.
Back it went and off I went just as the heavens opened.

I called Selva Girls to see if she wanted to go caching today and get the last ones we each needed for the February challenge. When she arrived at my house at about 12.30 she told me we were making a slight detour for an FTF that had been published this morning but had still not been claimed.
We got parking close by and walked up the path and immediately spotted what had to be GZ. We each walked in a different direction around it and she quickly called out 'got it'.
We sat down and opened the log book to see a beautiful blank page. We were amazed that almost 3 hours after being published we were able to claim the FTF for this one. Selva Girls claimed the FTF prize and we both added some swaps to the cache.

With a tb that only likes new caches, I decided to detour here and drop it off... lovely to meet you nurseyjulie... cute use of the location... tftc... left Hide, Hide HIDE tb and some American coin...
This was published today whilst at work, so I after work I made my way over to collect a smiley. The rain held off too. As I approached GZ, a meet and greet with a fellow cacher at GZ - Peppa. I spotted the cache and he did the honours of retrieving a very nice sized container. TFTC
I was at Shorncliffe when this cache was published and didnt think I would have a chance of a FTF. As I was leaving there, Rhyssa6 phoned and asked if I would like to go caching this afternoon. I said that I would but still had to drop my son and grandaughter at their respective homes before I could swing by and pick her up.
An hour later, I pulled into her driveway. I checked and there was still no FTF for this cache. I told her that we were going to detour to this one before we headed to the ones that we had planned for the afternoon.
We parked nearby and wandered along the path to GZ. We could see that there was no one else in sight, so made a beeline for the obvious feature. Rhyssa6 went one way, I went the other. I quickly had the cache in my hands. As I opened the cache, Rhyssa6 and I were wondering if we would find a signature in the log. I opened it, to find a nice shiny, blank log, just waiting for us to put our signatures as joint **FTF**
I then found the most beautiful "The Spirit- Gallipolli Landing 1915" fob. It is a beautiful FTF trinket. I had left my swaps in the car, so ran back to grab them. I had nothing in my swaps that came anywhere near what I was removing from the cache, so I left a number of other items and a TB to continue on its way.
As we were about to leave, another cacher came along, hoping for a FTF. We stayed and chatted for a while with Cantcachus, before heading off to find another cache
