Logs
We continued today our tour of Queensland and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to cache me up for the generation of this nice cache Beach View (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Chasing caches has taken us to some great little hidden spots. TFTC Great spot to stop and have a quick walk along the beach and play in the water.
found quickly signed log at 12.59pm took pics placed back as found, nice vista here also, need to read logs, TFTC
After our event at Grasstree Beach, some of the group left to do the Freshwater trail, some to do the 4 x 4 trail. We decided to finish off some local caches.
Sad to say that we will be leaving area with a sad faces. I had combed photos and logs and really thought I would be able to find it, but it was not to be. Leaving with BLUE SAD FACE WITH BOTTOM LIP OUT.

Visiting Grasstree Beach for a month, so decided to act like a local - geocaching local that is, and find a cache (or two) a day.
Today we took our little doggies with us for good luck, seeing our streak is not doing very well.
Second time at this cache, we were her a few years ago. It is not meant to be!
But there is still a great view.
Easy find but it wasn't were it was supposed to be. I have re stuck it back where I'm pretty sure it's meant to go. Tftc
Thinking back on this a few hours later, I think there are 2 caches here. I did not find a mint tin. I found a magnetic nano with a fresh log sheet last signed in 2019. It was just laying on the ground pretty close to GZ
Queensland beaches. Long, clean and completely deserted.
Love it.
Feisty little green ants are viciously protecting this cache.

Fortunately Mrs SKI had her eagle eyes on today. She found it fairly quickly, and I had looked everywhere else but there!
Day 1 in Koumala, so we decided to mix some sightseeing with caching to see where it took us. First we headed to Sabrina, where we got to see the huge railway yards, we guess is the base for the coal trains we have seen going backwards and forwards. Then it was a short trip around town including the big cane toad and then off out to the coast. There was some magnificent scenery and a chance to see how big the tides can be. They were out for most of our touring. A few great lookouts and then return to our caravan. An enjoyable and satisfying day.
Thank you to all the local COs for the tour and developing and maintaining the caches.

We had planned to leave today Alligator Creek, but on our way to Sarina for topping up fuel and getting some maps in the Visitor Info Center, we saw still some green dots.
You won't believe it: We extended our stay for another night.
So we made an extra tour to the Grass tree beach. Beautiful area.

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, cache me up.

Today is day 5 of our northern adventures with RoddyC, Snickersallan, GrannySmith 1947 & hatzofff. We are caching in and around Sarina then travelling to Mackay caching on the way. Apologies for simple logs as I have a lot to do. Nano log sheet was full with no room especially for 5 more names so I have put a brand new nano log in that Nano for you. TFTC cache me up

Found on second return on same day ( don’t like them to beat me) log bit damp but ok
I came out for a kayak but both the weather and tide was against me. Was going up the hill to look at the view and thought i would stop and see if i could snag this one. No muggles about due to the weather (Aside from a couple of joggers)and i soon had cache in hand. SL TFTC
Cache has been replaced. Still micro, but NOT magnetic. About 2 metres uphill from original gz. You will know it when you see it ... tree roots and stones. Cheers.

Hmmm some concerns here as if it was magnetic nano it may be gone.
Beautiful view though.

Caching day with Frullet in Mackay picking up a lot of caches south of the town.
Used the car to block the muggles in picknick area from looking to closely at us.
Enjoyed the view briefly before heading for the next cache
Thanks for hiding this one
