When you love u have to let it go opening up there area for new caches. The old hedge is gone. Cheers Elliot13
13 month update. 22 of august 2023. The physical big hedge has now been removed & a new subdivision has gone in next door. The cache will still remain and hopefully be active again with in the next 12 months.
This is elliot13’s grandparents house so looking forward to seeing what sort of fence gets puts in and see what sort of cache I can create here. Keep an eye out.

Wife wanted to go pick some stuff that she had purchased. Well, I figured that there could be a cache ready to found. And sure enough there was.

I was surprised by this container. It must be the largest small size there is. TFTC.
I just moved closed and during a break in the rain I came here to quickly locate the container. It was broken and quite dirty, but log was dry and in good condition. Have put it in a new container with some small swaps.
Found with Kiwimykl while out caching around Brightwater, refer to his log for details.

Found with NZDi. Mrs Kiwimykl (aka NZDi) had some retail therapy to do which could only be done in Nelson today. We also popped in to see my Mum at the Marsden Cemetary to freshen the flowers on her grave while we were here. It wasn't a lot of shopping, so she got me to look at the geocaching map last night and sort out somewhere to cache this afternoon. Brightwater was somewhere that seemed to have a high proportion of green dots, (just like almost everywhere in the Nelson/Tasman region despite regular visits to this side of the hill). Which is why we are here today. We had no specific targets in mind, but we ended getting a nice round twenty caches, mainly Traditionals, but with the odd Mystery and Multi thrown in as well. Of course we also did the local Adventure Lab cache and its' bonus cache too. Logs were either logged in full, or where space was at a premium, the abridged version of KM + ND was used.
It was really hard to look inconspicuous doing this one. NZDi parked the geomobile to screen me from the general populace while doing this one. Fortunately it was a QEF PnG thanks to a detailed hint.

Much easier than I was expecting thankfully. Staying in Brightwater for a few days and enjoying the lovely weather. Got on the bike to find a few caches in the area. TFTH
Almost 12 months ago, 16th Jan 2020, we were in Nelson to visit Grandchildren, and found a few caches. Lost the book, now after tidying my desk, there it was all the time! So finally logging. TFTC
Thanks for putting out this container for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*Soon located, plenty of light rain today*
Thanks for the detailed hint - quick find after dark.

Like others we thought this cache might be harder to then it was In the end it was a nice quick find in between cars - log signed - thanks for the cache
Really really really really loved this geocache but be aware for Geo Muggles. I bet we looked more than a little bit suspicious
Out for a bike ride with Lustylass on a cool but sunny day and a chance to hunt down some of the caches around Brightwater that we didn't get to on a previous visit. All good with this one.
This is my second visit to the area and another chance to do some caching with the bonus of a bike ride by the river. i have brought Bovverboy along to do the heavy lifting and dirty work.
Out for a night stroll around Brightwater gathering a few caches ...first time to this area so great to see the sights ..soon found the cache as per hint ...thanks Elliot13 for the.cache

Had to be a bit sneaky crossing this road and not getting Muggled. Found the cache, logged and put back safely for someone else to find. TFTC!
To night was the night for scouts to run around the district and have a go at geocaching. Luckily the rain stopped so the only time we got wet was walking down the tree lined streets and a scout jumped up and shook a branch. Thanks for placing the cache.
Bit tricky with all the traffic and a lack of footpath. But all good in the end!TFTC#124
Thanks to the CO this completes our Welcome to Nelson Caching challenge 2X10 in calendar month with a puzzle, MC, EC and greater than 2.5 D&T. It was hard to narrow it down to 10 cachers given how much we have enjoyed caching in the region so far, in the end it was a combination of criteria and proximity and today the final day was in Brightwater.
Cache was a quickfind and all in good order with plenty of log room left for future cachers, TFTC.

TregearP and I are working on a challenge that requires us to target two caches from 10 COs within a single month along with a couple of other criteria. We noted that we could pair this cache with one a couple of km away and a few others in the area to complete the qualifying criteria within the first half of the month.
A quick find at the final with all in good order. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache elliot13.

Out with Tufty helping him to locate a few caches on the Two Rivers Walkway near Brightwater. This was the thirteenthone on this walk today. I saw it from across the road and rehid it a bit better.
TFTC.

My granddaughter, Redco5, and I decided to have a walk along the 2-rivers walkway. No. 13 for the walk. Very close to the cachemobile and the end of a 8.24km walk.
Cheers for the cache.

It's amazing at times that the most exposed areas are sometimes simple retrieves but quiet areas can at times be quite hard. Managed a quick grab and sign here despite lots of traffic. tftc
Out with JegsBigg Senior on a walk after tea...of course I grabbed some caches along the way. This one came without it's lid initially and after signing the log a quick hunt found the lid and it was returned to the container. TFTC
A thankfully quick find today. Walked past the hedge and made the spot. Grabbed and signed, but had to wait for a woman and her dog to pass before the replace could be made. So all achieved with maximum stealth, TFTC elliot13.
Day 2 of our weekend in Nelson. Today's caching target was Wakefield and Brightwater, places we were not too familiar with. All up a successful day by our standards - 26 or so found with a couple of DNFs for various reasons, but we had a good brunch out at Brightwater and got to briefly meet a CO on our travels. A few good walks and a decent amount of multis to allow us to learn more about these towns. Thanks to all COs for the caches. We will be back, hardly scratched the surface

Early morning walk this morning. Parked up at near Mcglashans pottery and headed to the hills grabbing a few caches on the way. Muggled out of a few. This one though was a quick find. Swapped the Jeep TB for a dragonfly. Also able to claim a walk of 955m for the DGSC Distance challenge. Thanks for the cache.
A weekend in Nelson with The Seagnoid, Toby and Zara. With Twin Rivers behind us we are on our way back to Toby. The Seagnoid had deleted this in error but my new trusty Nigel Navigator showed something here. So lets give it a go. Great size container - snagged and tagged. Cheers
Hey at last the weather is improving! It's been a cold cloudy morning but the sun is showing an appearance now and what a difference it makes.
Taybeedragon and I have just walked the Two Rivers walkway, and are on our way back to Toby, who is waiting by the west bridge. The dragon decided to cross the road - a better foot path over there, while I stayed on this side, as I could see the cache's subject matter yonder. However when i got to GZ, it was the dragon that spotted the cache, having the advantage of being a bit further away. Traffic was not too bad, doid not have to wait too long. Dropped off a jeep. Love the flying pig nearby (photo),

Found whilst cycling the Great Taste Trail. #14 of 27 found today. I am starting to smell the approach of a well deserved coffee break on this hot morning. TFTC.
TFTC! Had to get my brother to physically grab this one as couldn't deal with the bugs!

Was waiting for a rainy day for this one...got the cache filled the log. Now muggles around took a good 5mins before I could replace it lol. TFTC Elliot
A quick find, picked up the TB and will find a new cache for it next weekend. A beautiful sunny day for caching! TFTC.
A busy road , found this then went for a coffee across the road. Dropped off trackable here for some lucky person. TFTC.
Was passing by so stopped off to collect the rather nice coin, which I *thought* had been in here for longer than it had.
Still, I'll help it on its way.

As we have just moved in the area I thought I would show mum around and do some quick GC. Thanks for the spot
