Had a good look over a wide area. So many places it could be tucked away. Had to to move on after a while
Took a couple of seconds to locate the GZ with the GPS bouncing around a bit, but after looking closely enough, something looked slightly out of place and I had the cache in hand. Thanks!

Day adventure to Karangahake Gorge, we thought we should collect some caches along the way! Unfortunately this cache was not one of them! Thorough search in the sounding area... no luck here today. I think this cache has gone walkabout
Out and about with the whole family doing the windows walk. Great walk, very recommendable!!!Did some nice caches on our way. This one we didn't find. We were a little disheartened by the many DNF's and I must admit, we didn't search for long.
Out and about with the shoebs family once again. Today unfortunately we had a DNF.Thanks anyway.
We spent quite a while searching all around, even spotted a likely hidey hole, but no luck for us. GPS moving all over the place.
Another attempt at this one, after trying 2 years ago. Still no luck, although we're pretty sure we found where it should have been
Exploring around Paeroa with rattll during the long weekend, visited Karangahake to complete the Windows Walk adlab. Looked for this one along the way, but no success.
Didnt like the sound of the hint but this proved a QEF and no hands were harmed. PINO TFTC
One of the last few caches of the day while out exploring the area with glenogilvie. We had taken a moment to sit and drink some water on the edge of the river and was very glad we did as a huge train of hikers passed us. We waited them out, and were soon on our way to find the cache. Upon arriving at GZ there were quite a few places we could look, but eventually I spotted a likely location and the cache. I asked glenogilvie to grab it as I wasn't quite sure I could reach it. Thanks for the cache. Good hide. #1654
We contiued ou roadtrip from Tirau to Thames stopping at a nice hiking trail. Was not easy to park the cacr, we had not expected so many people to be here. So we parked a bit away. We took the shorter tunnel loop and found some caches along the route. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.Happy hunting!TFTCschnuckel1[#24247]
### New Zealand 2024 ###On our 1 week tour North New Zealand tour we visited many caches in Auckland, Habbiton, Taupo, Huka Falls, Piha, Devonport and Mount Eden.We had a lot of great experiences along the way and had a lot of fun searching for the caches. Thanks to all the owners for the great caches Team sissifalke
After fast visiting of Coromandel we are going to Matamata but on the left we saw nice gorge and than nice parking. We stop there for a while and walk few nice walks. Thank you for the cache in this amazing place.
Visiting the Karangahake Gorge on the way to Matamata we could find this cache.TFTC
Nice quick find here. Couldnt go much further on this trail due to a big rockfall around the corner. TFTC
Found on the way back, and made sense as soon as I saw it. Beautiful day for a walk. TFTC.
All good at GZ, both container and logbook were in good condition. Dad's comment was: "easy find can be seen from the path", but that is from his 1.83 m high, Mr8 and myself couldn't really spot anything form our smaller sizes, well, once we knew were it was it was obvious, but we didn't spot it as we walked.
After spending a couple of days in Waihi, I then made my way up to Coromandel for a few days of hiking. Found this cache after a quick walk through the Gorge, before having to turn back because of a slip on the track. TFTC!
The complete month march I am travelling on both Islands. Christchurch heading south, next the westcoast.
AbelTasman-Wellington-Rotorua-Hahei and finally Auckland.
This was one of the caches I found; thanks for showing me the area.

Another one where GPS wasn't playing the geocaching game but determination found it. Tftc
Nice find. Took a bit for the GPS to locate. GL is ground level. No need to go down to the river. Look up.
TaurusSix and I are in New Zealand for a three weeks holiday. We love New Zealand and have had lots of wonderful experiences here previously. This time we have decided to focus our attention on three destinations for one week each, all in the North Island. The Coromandel Peninsula, Waiheke Island and The Bay of Isles. We are very mindful of not focusing all our attention of the holiday on geocaching, however it will still play an important part. We are deliberately focusing on caches that involve some walking, great views, interesting attractions , history and general points of interest. And this will all happen in between exploring, swimming , walking, doing touristy things and relaxing .

Day 6 - We are now based for the next little while at Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula. Today was a big day we set off quite early and explored Paeroa before heading to Karangahake Gorge and undertaking the full return walk to Waikino- Victoria Battery. It took about one hour to get to Paeroa and it was a nice drive at that time of day as the sun was rising , it was definitely a good example of the “land of the long white cloud” as we made our way through the mountains. Once at Paeroa we explored the town in the best possible way by undertaking the three Adventure Labs that are there. The third one being the legendary L and P one which finished at the L and P cafe where we had a lovely brunch . Next we parked up at the beginning of Karangahake Gorge ready for our big adventure. Along the way we also walked back and forward through the tunnel, checked out one of the waterfalls, explored the old gold town and industrial operations at waikino, really enjoyed the walk and collected all up 14 geocaches and 2 Adventure Labs. Total caches for day 17 traditional, multi, virtual and questions and 25 Adventure Lab elements. Great day all round.

This was our eleventh actual cache find of the day along with several adventure Labs. We relied on geosenses here as the gps played up and had us metres out. It took a few minutes but we were happy to finally have cache in hand. Thanks for the cache vectis

A plan was made with Gorby, tramyard and rustynz for an overnight road trip to Waikato/BOP. We targeted Karangahake Gorge, Waihi, Katikati and Mount Maunganui/Tauranga.
We spent ages searching along the rocks here, waiting for muggles to pass. Finally I spied something just out of place, and then the small hint item that helped confirm I was looking in the right place.

I’m on a 2 day adventure with fellow cachers from Auckland, rustynz, Aiden29 and tramyard. Aiden is our driver in her car, and today we’re walking along the Karangahake valley, picking up trads and adventure labs. Tonight we’re staying at Athenree campground in 4 tents between us, then tomorrow Katikati and Tauranga. Great fun.
Gorse? What gorse? Ooh... there it is, wasn't obvious until I think Aiden or tramyard found it. They're taller than me. Rusty is patient with us, she has found all the caches along here about 3 years ago, but I'm sure she's enjoying herself.

It was nice to turn my frown upside down here after failing to find it a few years ago. We missed this on the first pass but found it on the way back
Found this cache whilst out walking along the gorge this afternoon. Nicely hidden but wasnt long before we spotted it.
Apologies but completed these caches a few weeks ago and forgot to log them. Completed with Keylev.TFTC
Having finished a section of the HRT today we were now ready to tidy up a few of the others in the area before heading home.
Didn't take us too long here...right onto the next one...
Thanks for the cache.

Had a dnf here 5 years ago so good to change it to a smiley. Had a group out today & the track we were going to do was being closed by DOC. So lucky there were caches to find. One of my muggle friends found this in a place we all had looked. Tftc
A group of us set of today to do a walk, but unfortunately that was closed, so just had to find caches instead. it just so happened the one of us that found the cache is not normally a geocacher, in a spot we had all looked in. TFTC
Was really pleased to find almost right away, spotted the small cover stone, and sure enough the cache was tucked in just behind, nice one thanks
Great hide! Took a while and was about to give up. Would have never known what those bushes were called as not from here TFTC
No luck today.
Many places to look with GPS all over the place.
Next time.......

Plenty of hidey spots along here, so using the hint was a massive help. Thanks for setting these up
Thanks for your amazing cache.
I was wondering how I was going to get it until I read the description

Went and did the walk as a family outing with the husband and 4 year old today.
Agree with previous comment, phone GPS was approx 23 metres out- once we realised was a quick find

Been in Auckland visiting family. Now heading home. Stayed in Paeroa last night at the railway reserve. This morning headed to the Gorge to deal with some sad faces. Nice place to stretch the legs and take the dog for a walk. Got to GZ and GPS couldn’t get below 15m however the hint was quite specific and it didn’t take long before we were signing the log. Thanks for the smiley.

Heading up to Northland to meet the kids for the Christmas holidays. Had time to walk part of the HRT trail with the geohound. Found several pot holes but no cache. Will watch.
The Hauraki Rail Trail is closed while the Covid 19 rahui is in place. Anyone geocaching during this time is putting themselves and others at risk by handling the containers, stash and logs. So this cache is disabled until this present emergency ends. I reserve the right to disable any logs dated after the lockdown started.
We were on the way south from Thames to Rotorua. Made a stop here at this stunning landscape and walked the old way. Thanks for all the caches here.

Looked and looked for this one with no luck. Such a beautiful walk will be back for another go at some stage.
Being tall pays off sometimes. Not too difficult for me to spot - much harder for Ra. She wouldn’t have got it anyway - too many nearby spiders webs and she’s too big a wimp with the creepy crawlies! TFTC
Found this one. The previous cachers were so close. Evidence was there. Signed and returned. Cleared the evidence hopefully enough. MATM
In Waihi for the weekend with Supernanny and Jag50. Unfortunately no find for us here
Found we were a little out but easy to see when in right spot. Taken photo TFTC
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
