Day 2 of our 5day trip to Coober Pedy. This is a fun trip for SA Sewer Rats and ttrogg. We quick located the cache.Stamped the log and replaced as found.Tftc
Day two of the road trip to Coober PedyGot away quite early, for me, from Port Augusta but due to a slight fuelling mistake only found three caches before fuelling at Pimba then checking in at Woomera. Got up to Andamooka for the AdLab there and all the nearby physical caches before heading back to Woomera for the two AdLabs there. A nice number of mainly traditionals were found on the way and this was one of the ones I wanted.Another quick find. Thanks to 1ash1988 for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15124.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
TFTC,In this LGA for a day to Cache and add to my statistics, visited trackables.Nana found this one.
Took longer than it should have to spot this one. Quite a bit of rubbish around. Thank you.
LATE LOG - found 21/04/2024Found with a couple of friends while visiting a few places up north. Had a great time, with lots of geocaches along the way. TFTCSigned as "Tricache" - Poisin55, Chubly09, myself
Travelling up north with poison55 and Smartich0ke picking up caches at all the townsTftc
Ocw the Bebes as we stay in RD. Parked close and a short search soon had CIH. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Visiting Roxby Downs for a few days. This one took a few circles to spot. Tftc
We are exploring Roxby Downs and had no trouble with this one. Its a quiet morning so no muggles about... drove the car to within 12 metres and spotted glowing in the sunlight. Tftc
On our final leg home after a round trip up to Leigh Creek, Maree and across the Oodnadatta track and then down the Borefield track, the copper sands have been a big part of our trip, found after a short searchTFTC 1ash1988
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches along the way. What a surprise Roxby Downs is. Thanks for showing us around 1ash1988.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from WA up the coast to NT and down through the Centre to SA and back home over the Nullabor. After spending a couple of nights in Coober Pedy, we headed twds Woomera picking hides along the route and arrived at RD last night. Thanks for the hide.
Day 20 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy.
Now this is one little LGA out here on its lonesome that I desperately wanted to collect, and it took some negotiating to get this to happen. We've parked the van at Woomera and made the trip unhitched for the day to tour around Roxy Downs.
We got pounded yesterday by stones on 2 newly sealed sections of road and have some nasty chips and cracks in our windscreen and as a bonus is we have found a windscreen repairer that has arranged a replacement windscreen for us and says he will have it tomorrow for fitting. So it will be another trip here tomorrow, but at least we will be able to see,
After a very short stroll, we found both the logbook and what we believe is the lid of the container on the ground. We have made a replacement with a preform container and a zip tie, so CO can remove "needs maintenance" attribute.
TFTC SL TB's visited.

A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
The cache is brittle and broken. Log is dry. I fixed it up a bit and put it under stone cement protection.

Out and about today and I decided to check the map to see what was nearby.
I find myself with time to kill so I stopped by here for a find.
Up in Roxby for the night and managed to aquileese this one on before Hitting the tavern.
Many thanks to 1ash1988 for placing and maintaining copper sands. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, a nice quick find, thanks for placing this cache
Thanks for hiding this. We left a few goodies - hopefully they stay dry. This one probably needs a bigger container to protect the notebook. Drakey’s World - find us on Facebook.
A nice quick find while passing through town to the airport after a couple of days in Woomera. No-one around, so after moving in to GZ, I spotted the tell tale sign and on moving something, the container was spotted.
I added my name to the log and quickly got organised to move on.

11/9/22 Easy find! The container is cracked and only log book in it so placed it so that it won't get wet. Thanks
Visiting my son, who works here, Loopy1972 and I did a little caching, finding this one easily. Container and log are in good condition. TFTC.
Found with SpidermonkeysMum on the return of our great trip up they Oodnadatta track. TFTC
What a weird little park. My street map had green “grass” but we had a little drive by but found the freshly attended to logbook was already uncovered so maybe a dog having a look. Signed after the tardis trio and teen. Good way to see the suburban housing.
The skies have been amazing at night and the sunsets fantastic. We haven’t been able to find all the caches en route due to the drivers demands but we selected some old and 360 degree from home special ones. Nothing wrong with leaving a few for “next time” either.
Thank you for placing it for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

The three of us were heading north, and stopped in Roxby for the night. A short walk over and we found the cache.
We replaced the missing logbook.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache 1ash1988.
We replaced the missing logbook.

Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to 1ash1988 from mogni

quick find
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

Day Four: Coober Pedy to Woomera via Roxby Downs
The roads are quiet.
The weather is strange.
And Woomera is slightly creepy.
Last cache in Roxby; I managed to get six of the seven in the area.
Looks like muggles had been at this one - I’ve reassembled the bits and will message the CO.
Thanks 1ash1988

Our main mission today was further out, but we couldn't help picking up just a few caches along the route, along with ilook4geo. This one was a very quick and easy find, both names were soon noted on the log. We had to squeeze only our initials onto a very full log, next to some caching friends who had signed it some years ago. All was returned to place. Thanks for this cache placement go to 1ash1988.
Another quick and easy find while passing through town with goingplaces2. Log was signed (sort of) but it is very full. TFTC.

Out and about in Roxby with Purrfect Di and Jack...
A good find in the sands of the town. Took us on some back roads to get to see a bit more of Roxby.
Certainly a stark contrast with the mining town of Coober Pedy where we spent the last few days!!!
Thank you 1ash1988 for another nice quick smiley on our state geomap
"A cache a day keeps the doctor away" - all part of the 2021 health care plan
----------------------------------------------------
2020 won. it's not over yet!
- - search at a social distance wherever you can - -
Keep away from the nasty bugs ( except travel bugs of course )
- keep a distance from people as much as you can, they spread the nasty bugs! [:o)]
- go out and find or place some new caches in our regional areas where it's safer away from bugs!!

They are indeed copper. Very dry here so no sign of muddy colours.
Thanks to 1ash1988 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Today was our first full day staying in Andamooka so we started the day finding a couple of caches there before heading to Olympic Dam and Roxby Downs. [^]
Had an interesting drive around Roxby Downs and noted a lot of the houses do not have gutters, probably cos it doesn't rain all that often.
Enjoyed our little walk through the bushes to this one and the cache was soon found.
Thanks for the cache 1ash1988.
