have checked the cache and has definitely disappeared will soon have a replacement
Another wet Wellington night. Over them by now. Stopped here and checked a few spots including the one that fitted with the hint. No cache felt. Now reading other logs at home, it might be AWOL.
Made a visit, hoping to find this one. I believe I did find the cache but in a position where retrieval was not easily possible. If my inclination about how this cache hide works is correct, then I think it has come loose from its moorings and is in the process of making a bid for freedom. Towards the harbour perhaps! I'd hazard a guess that without attention very soon then it will be a case of 'rain, rain, washed away'.
I won't log a DNF, as I don't think that circumstance applies. However, nor was I able to sign a log, so it would be too presumptuous to log a find.

Cache very wet and water as erased most of the entries on the plastic log sheet. I dried the cache out and dabbed the log with tissues but I think water will still get in. Placed log in a ziplock bag for protection. The system for holding the cache on is coming apart and may not last too much longer I'm afraid. I tried taping it up but the electrical tape wouldn't stick due to the dampness. Nicely placed cache though. TFTC.
Nice hide Scarlett. I can see why you don't want to have to retrieve the cache a second time. Almost lost it myself but managed to get it carefully. TFTC!
Absolutely waterlogged. Hope my log stays on the waterproof log sheet. Cool spot but needs some repair cheers
Last time I tried for this one I dropped it and had to let the owner know so they could retrieve it. Surprised at the size of the replacement!
On a road trip to Wellington from Hastings, and this was one of the finds here in and around town. Thanks for the cache.
I am suprised at the boldness and size of some of the urban caches in and around Wellington, well done!

A quick find with TregearP.
A bit damp which is not unexpected all things considered, otherwise all good.

1068 Last time I was in the area it was raining. But tonight the rain had gone away. Like the hide.
Quick find today in the rain, so it was indeed "Rain, Rain Go Away" the cache container was absolutely full of water so its just as well for the waterproof log sheet, emptied it out and dried it as much as possible. TFTC
As I approached GZ, very aptly the rain began to fall. Despite this it was still very muggly. I think I was just behind the previous finders and the helpful neighbour across the road came out for a chat and offer of assistance. I had found it by this stage and was just waiting for an opportune muggle free time to place it back. TFTC
Hope this one lasts. Not the place I'd hide a container, but none the less a great hide. Did with Mycro Man. Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from an Auckland Cacher. Was in town for my Dad's birthday, and for work.
Had an hour spare, so out I went
Was only on scene for a minute when the neighbour on the opposite courner came out of her house and started calling me...so I crossed the road and had a good chat with her. She said she knew where it was I wanted to know, which I declined. She told me that when the cache was released she didn't know why all these people were in the area acting so weird. So she called the cops. Then the following day she was speaking to her daughter who then told her about geo caching. Very nice lady, so if anyone needs a hint, go see her :-p
So I left her and crossed the street. Looked a few places, then I saw it....awesome spot. I should really read the Titles a bit more.
Gets a fav point from me.

In the area this evening. A quick grab and sign. Could see it as I approached so replaced a bit further back. Thanks for the cache.

Nice quick find to fill a dot day.
Could see it as I walked up, but still a little surprised by the size.
Took it for a walk around the block to sign the log, hoping the dog walker would stop following me.

I didn't really think about what type of cache hide this could be before I arrived and I had no idea where to look when I got to GZ. I paused to think about what information I had available to me and twigged. It was quite a surprise to see the container.
#1296 I survived the big rain last week and seems only slightly damp!! I am amazed. TFTC
If anyones wondering suprisingly after yesterdays floods cache is still intact GZwas struck quite badly so good to know cache is strong

Have looked at this site before but on another corner the orthographic project issue. Anyway soon had the cache in hand. A bit damp inside but the waterproof paper meant everything was in good order. TFTC
#6534. Parked on William Street on a rainy day for a quick grab. GZ was all quiet at this time. Quick find some 21 metres away. The cache was in good condition, but glad it had write-in-the-rain paper for the log. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find, lucky the log is waterproof paper because everything was soaked.
I could not look properly when I was there as there were workman in the GZ area. So another time...
Not so good co-ords experienced here, I was close to asking for a rain check on this one before deciding to explore a little wider afield. Nice hide. TFTC
Like others, as co-ords took me to other side of road. A look for around spotted it and had to wait fro a quiet traffic/pedestrian moment. Cache wet so tried to try out a little. TFTC
The cache is on the opposite of the road to the coordinates.
Thanks for the cache

Tried for this one unsuccessfully just after publication. As I was passing by on the way to an event, I decided to have another try. I swear this time it waved at me! TFTC, swopped some swag .
Out early to grab a few handy caches on a windy overcast Saturday morning. Went to where I thought was the named intersection to find that GZ was along the road. So headed down the road and as others have noted the coords were out a tad.
Try S 41 13.643' E 174 53.292?
As it turned out the cache was plainly visible and full off water. Emptied the water out but could not sign the log as it was just too wet.
Liked the container which was returned so it was hidden further from obvious view.
TFTC, TNLNSL.

What a busy intersection this is. I think every second Petone resident walked or drove past as we were looking. Has anyone mentioned the coordinates are a bit out? Tftc
First one of the day, about 40 m from our front door! Coords have it the wrong side of the road tho.
Approached this one from the east, saw a likely spot but the GPSr was taking me to the other side of William Street. Crossed the street and nothing there so came back for a very quick find in the first spot. Needed to hang on to it carefully, wouldn't have wanted to drop it! Perhaps a bit of fishing line or similar to secure it might help? Signed log, TFTC
Kids pass it every day on the way to school! Coords lead u to the wrong side of the road. Nice to find one seconds from our house!
Found fairly quickly after having a little wander around the area lol. Log was a little damp but still in good condition. Wouldn't want to suffer from butterfingers with this one!

This one took a little while to find as per the previous logs the coordinates were a fair bit off. A nice hide all the same. TFTC
checked onn the cache and it had gone down but retrieved it and all is good:)!!!!!!!
with the hints and other logs we had a fair idea of where it should be but could not find it hopefully it hasn't been dropped again
Third visit lucky.
Bit worried it might become very difficult to retrieve if I let it go.

#1648 Had some time up my sleeve and it was too nice an afternoon to not get outside. Very interesting hide- thankfully nobody about so I could look in peace. Co-ords out but as other finders have said, there is enough info on the page to point you in the right direction. Cool container too. TFTC.
Had a pretty good idea of where to look, even if we didn't know the exact location. It was found quite easily in then 5th place we looked. Like others have mentioned, coordinates are a good 20 metres out. Nice hide though. TFTC
Second visit for us today. As people have said the GPS was a good 20m out. Great Cache
Out with BigcheeseNZ. Thanks for the clue as assisted with finding cache as GPS was out as mentioned by others. Great hide. TFTC.
TFTC 2ndTF Sorry for the late log had done a day of caching and written them down and then lost the book found it today and so am catching up on the missing caches.
Nice find with Just-Lookin & Princess Emily.
Out and about finding a few caches before an event in Petone.
Co-ords certainly a long way out here.

Another fun day out with tmann421 and Princess-Emily collecting up some local caches.
A nice hide, Log signed and cache safely returned. Now off to attend a local Petone event.

Found this with friends after school. The problem was there was a lot of muggles!
sadly had to replace cache but with a larger container when replacing cache lady came over and asked what I was doing and said she had seen people looking around and even seen the police looking around I explained the whole geocaching thing and thanked us for the explanation.
I was a little disappointed when I saw that this cache was disabled this afternoon, but after picking up the newly published cache down the road this evening I noticed that it had been re-enabled. Certainly a cache container I haven't seen before! TFTC
Found the cache Today but can not retrieve it have email owner will sign when it back in place
Returned today after failing miserably soon after publication. Sometimes I just can't see the wood for the trees, even when it's staring me straight in the face . Lunchtime find, after repeating the same mistakes as last time , and then thinking more clearly. First time i've seen a cache hidden in this exact manner, so it was a matter of shifting paradigms (and the co-ordinates being out didn't help much either). Hope it lasts in this position.
TFTC!

out on a cache checking mission and decided I would give this one a crack as I was in the area, got to GZ and noticed an individual making maneuvers suspiciously like a geocacher! Wandered over and said gudday, turned out to be RobNZH good to meet another cacher in the field

Cache # 2,361 - Did this evening with Downunder Wanderer. Not a quick find at all, as the coordinates had us 18 metres out from the GZ. Thanks for the hint - never would have found cache without it. We were about 6th or 7th on the list, so a fair number of people still to log this online. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found using the hint.
Was avoiding a couple of passing muggles who arrived while I had the cache in hand so wandered off across the road to try and look like I too was out for a stroll.
This seemed to work but didn't fool Dr Bogan one bit who muggled me as I returned towards GZ. Nice to meet you.
Measured the coordinates as above and compared notes with him, our readings corresponded within .001.

First tried this one on my way to my first appointment for the day. Searched for a while before giving it away as (fittingly for the cache) the rain came in. Came back around lunch for another quick look, thought about the clue and there it was, cords a bit out.
Happy Days FTF @ 6:50 this morning. The coordinates look to be a bit out, but to be honest I didn't actually use them. There was enough info in the description and hint for me to find it in the second place I looked. Cheers and TFTC
