Sadly this one is in fact gone despite what I thought was a pretty safe location so I'll free the area up for someone else to use.
Confident in coordinates but were unable to find cache. Did not want to go snooping around private property to much. Notice no find since August, please update if still there OP.
No luck for us today with this one. We carefully worked out our answers, but our total was 28, 1 digit out for the checksum. We took what we hoped was a logical guess at which digit we had misinterpreted, and off we went. Had a hunt at where we hoped GZ was - but alas, we didn't locate the cache.
rustynz tells me I need to catch up with all my logging!
A 3 day weekend of fun with a group of Westies (rustynz, gorby, jag58 & merlot58)
Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks to all the CO for the hides, and the adventure

A 3 day weekend had been planned a few months ago by Rebel98, we had cheap airfares organised for New Plymouth, we took a coach down here because there was too much fog in Auckland at the time to be able to fly. So this is our 3rd and last day for our adventures. We came here and just couldn't get things to work so much later rusty sent of an e-mail to the C.O. As the C.O is now aware we had issues with the checksum of this cache, and he has now fixed the problem, thank you for that tommygun9, we appreciate that and he has graciously allowed us to post a 'found it' log for our troubles now we're all back in Auckland.
So now (myself, Mr and Mrs Jag50, merlot58, rustynz and Rebel98) are all happy campers, thanks again.

Relogging as found with permission from the CO. Seems our checksum was correct after all, and where we looked for it was the correct spot, but the cache has gone AWOL. Thanks tommygun9, your cache has a very apt name as we sure did see the sign
We with a group of West Aucklanders exploring the coastal walkway. On our way to walk out along the "dock" we passed the sign, so collected the necessary information for this multi. After numerous attempts we failed to get the checksum to work. Thank you to the CO for permission to log this cache.
I was visiting New Plymouth for the weekend with a few other Westies from Auckland. Despite triple checking our numbers we couldn't get checksum to work (we kept getting 29). We made some calculations anyway, dismissed one as that had us out in the water but the other looked likely as it had something that matched the hint but despite a thorough search we were unable to locate anything
With a group of Westies walking part of the coastal walkway, and a welcome stop to admire the sign, and time to collect information for the multi. We could not get the checksum to work, and after getting in contact with the CO, after our return, they have allowed us to log with permission.
Thanks for the multi and the hide, caching with Jag50, merlot58, gorby, rustynz and rebel98

Please note that the location and way to find it changed in December.
Cache is still good.

Cache now in a new location, approximately the same distance away but in the other direction.
Went for a rainy walk to check on this and it is gone.
I'll have a new container in place shortly.

Second go at this. Came up with some better coords than last time. Looked like a likely spot. Searched and widened search a bit but still couldn't locate.
Got to where I believe it should be.... Found lots and lots and lots of rocks but no cache......
Quick find early morning on a Tuesday. As previously mentioned the red sticker is a little..ermm...munted! Tftc
Lovely sign for a multi, no problems with most of the numbers but the red sticker referred to is only half there now so made a calculated guess for the number that was missing. Great walk along to GZ and no worries finding the cache. Thanks
Love the sign. Nearly got muggled but my little dog Ellie helped by having a drink break

awesome signs, even worked for the one on the back, nice walk to final way point, TFTC
The word the outfoxed us for a while so couldn't get the co ords right but finally after lots of checking managed to get them to add up! Nice easy find hard not to get
muggled cut plenty to use as a distraction!

Love this sign. Did the required maths, got good looking coords & set off to GZ. Made a nice quick find. TFTC
What a strange sign. I still don't know what some of it means. I see the CO had continued the confusion with the cache attributes, I hope this isn't putting anyone off. The final is a good easy place.
I was working nearby and passed the sign everyday on my way to work by bike. Was always wondering what it is about... but now I know, it's there because of the geocache ;D
nice and easy puzzle and the hide itself too!
TFTC and greets from an Austrian cacher

Planning to head up to the Summit of the mountain tomorrow to claim my 6000th find, so needed a few more finds to get the numbers to align, so spent the morning caching to make it work. I had also marked a few caches to go after while down here, so had them in my sites today as well.
Didn't plan on getting this one, but ended up near the sign so decided to give it a crack. Missed the sticker completely on the first look around, but after reading a few logs I worked out I must of missed it and went back for a second look, which was successful. Messed up my counting a couple of time also so made it way harder than it should of been to get the coords to work out. Had to time the grab at GZ as there were a few muggles about but no real issues, thanks for the multi.

Have admired this sign previously and took a photo of it yesterday. Worked out the answers and went back after tea to make the find. We are staying in the camp overlooking the port, so was not far away. Thanks very much tommygun9
Was a our first muti cache... was lots of fun. Red sticker on sign need some attention as it is nearly falling off.
Feeling very proud of myself for finding this as it meant I got the right info I haven't done many puzzles even though I have just hit 200 finds. Lion cub out as ive been thinking about the lion King movie recently and marvels super hero in because thats what I felt like uncovering the cache. Nice way to finish 2015:)
A lovely morning for a walk here today and after staying the night at Belt Road camp how could I not grab this cache before heading home? An easy find TNLNSL TFTC
The room for misinterpretation and miscounting in a simple multi never ceases to amaze us, but luckily, with three heads, we managed to come up with the correct co-ords. Such a well stocked cache! I took the dragonfly necklace and left several things in its place. Thanks for the fun.
After a blustery stroll along the pier, we were quite pleased to be able to sit in the warm car to work most of this one out.
An interesting sign, for sure. Did have to think about a couple of the questions quite carefully, but the checksum added up first time & then we enjoyed a pleasant stroll to GZ, where the co -ords took us straight to the cache. ( always such a relief when it all works out).
Thanks for setting this up tommygun9.
Left a pet rock - a lion.

After 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay', I wasn't completely soaked from the rain, so I tried this one. I had to make a few educated guesses, but my check sum came out correct. No problem finding the final. TFTC.
I surprised myself by answering all the questions and found the cache nice and quickly.
Enjoyed this one after visiting the sign, relaxing over a coffee to solve and a nice walk home. Definitely a sign worth visiting! TFTC
Out and about on the MTBike picking up some local caches. Sat a spell on the handy log while I did the figuring out then it was on to GZ where the cache was quickly located.
Took another seat on the rocks while I signed the log and let a muggle dog walker past.
Cache was returned to its spot then back on the bike. Thanks for the placement.

Nice quick multi-cache, we soon walked to the final cache location.

In the area collecting some caches with tmann421.
Now that's a sign. A quick solve of the multi and we had final co-ordinates in hand. Lots of muggles out and about today even though it was really windy and quite cold.
Had to make out we were photographing a few things while ducking in to make the find in between waves of muggles.

Solved puzzle quickly, then had to dodge muggles also enjoying the great holiday weather. TFTC
A lot of muggles but with so many of us running round and rock hopping there was a lot of distraction. Nice puzzle. Once we solved our dumb mistakes we were set. Tftc

Will move tb to a more northerly location

Pretty quick find when reaching GZ. A few people out and about today but managed to sign the log between passers by. Thanks for the cache and the nice easy multi -I hate multis so I always appreciate ones that don't send me to 50 different locations around the town.
Found this today after a silly hike that was unnecessary lol thank you to malady and niscar
A really nice day for a stroll along the walkway. Not too many people passing here - lots probably at WOMAD . Puzzle worked out fine. Tftc
I picked this up after attending the Meat Pie and Eat Pi Day event. A number of other attendees were talking about climbing the rock so I decided to accompany them for the fun of it so while they were out getting a puzzle cache I came over here.
I must have looked a little like a tourist, as a couple of people stopped to tell me it wasn't a real sign but a work of art, and advised me not to follow the directions on it unless I wanted to end up at sea.
I had no problem getting the numbers out, but trying to get the next stage entered into the phone was another story as it isn't something I have done before. I eventually worked out what to do though, and was at the cache site soon after. After a brief flurry of people I had a quiet spell and managed to get it, sign it and return it without interruption.
Thanks for the placement.

Found after the pie day meet with malady and kjtcs. After going on a goose chase and then recalculating we found the cache. A good day for it.
Tackled this after climbing the rock and it dDdn't take too long to nut out the numbers and then find the cache. The area was relatively quiet so able to retrieve and sign the cache easily. TFTC
I claim responsibility for sending KJTCS and Niscar in the wrong direction. Lesson learned: listen to the whole clue.. opps sorry guys. But we now have a good familiarity with pretty much all the trees in the Belt road Holiday park and succeeded in climbing bank. TFTC
It took a while to get here, but with my mate Chris and a quick recheck of the calculated solution, we soon tracked this down. -Tb Mission accomplished TFTC! Blenheim Bear
We were wondering who would be the one to make a cache out of this sign. It's a great sign but I must admit I don't understand all of it. Thanks for the cache. Really windy day and high tide so had to dodge some spray. TFTC
Nothing on Telly... Other half out for the evening... What else to do but a bit of evening caching especially with a FTF up for grabs... Deciphered and found pretty quickly... Thanks for hide
So after two hours Rogaining in Bell Block, I'm in the supermarket and the notification comes through. Ok I know exactly this sign, having used it as a Rogaine control in the past. Head down to GZ, park up (in front of an SUV - Taranaki Guy's?) so as to illuminate said sign with headlights. Quickly solved and off to Final. I'd noticed a lone walker exit the area, but thought nothing of it. Quick find by nearly full moon in clear cloudless night, using my phone camera flash to locate actual hide. Oh the simple joy! Only to be dashed by a previous entry - not 10 minutes earlier! Oh well, it was delightful to geocache by moonlight. TFTC
