*Found on the 2 Nov 2024 @ 12:05pm.**Cache find # 15936.* I headed to Wangaratta for an event later in the day but before that, there was time to find a few caches.I had started another cache which I was making my way through but while doing that one, I passed by this one so I stopped for a look.I headed over to GZ and had a look around, eventually I had my name in the log.**Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
We didnt bring the bikes but decided on a short walk to warm up and to find a few caches. After signing the log we headed back along the trail to Bowser. We need to come back with our bikes some time. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for an enjoyable cache.
Out on the bike today with our middle geokid. I've been eyeing off this trail for ages now but just haven't had the opportunity. Today was the day, planned to try get half done starting from Bowser station, this will depend on how the little man's legs go. We ended up not quite halfway but made some good progress, only 1 DNF. A fun ride, we are keen to get back and finish off. Picked up TB here.TFTC!
Hello BettyBoo3747 thank you for the cacheAn afternoon walk to see how many I could find before my legs give out.A quick find.I found this cache during our Newcastle 2024 trip to see the grandchildren.Found on Saturday, 04 May 2024 at 1443**TFTC**
A little smaller that Pollock's Blue Poles, but blue nonetheless! Dropped TB and logged accordingly. We are out on a Sunday drive/stroll in the Autumn evening before the winter cold sets in! Thanks BettyBoo3747 for hiding and maintaining this series.
Robmc and I parked at Bowser station and enjoyed a sunny spring day to do some maintenance. A short ride checking 11 caches and fixing up as required. The hide, container and log are all good.
I found it with my friend so I couldn't do the irl log since I didn't have a account then
Heading home from Albury after a caching in Canberra with friends.
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
We’re only 56 kilometres from Chiltern, but there are a always geocaches along the way.
Stamped as JAMS - JJ52, alllister w, mogni, sir_spectre. All of these teams are from South Australia and after some major planning we managed to find approx 700 caches while being away for a week. Also qualifiied for a variety of challenges, found LGA's and had lots of laughs. Found while attending the Victorian Mega in Rutherglen.
Thanks
Thanks
We took a hike down the bike track, 9.5 km's or so. At the start of the trail the butterfly's were so thick i thought i was going to choke on one. I did enjoy the fact that the co used a number of different container from bison tubes, to cliplock containers, to fruit containers plus the style of hiding was different for the trail.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
We are now caching around Wangaratta finding caches to meet the A-Z challenge along with a few others.
It was a lovely day today and great walking on this trail. I had read all about it from tourist information at our accommodation.
Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747.

Out on my Ebike along the trail today finding these caches all going well so far TFTC
Exploring rural Victoria as part of the SPINZ team: Sidewaze, paddle chick, Isis58 and Nanzie from New Zealand. I’m really enjoying the landscape and seeing what goes on in this neck of the woods. All the different eucalypts, the pepper trees and other interesting plants. The colourful birds, some quite noisy and some very noisy. The many vistas - - beautiful in sunlight and shade. I loved visiting each and every cache and really appreciate the effort required to hide and maintain them. Thanks to the cache owners. Greetings from Aotearoa / New Zealand, happy caching and if you have yet to visit us across the ditch to see what we have to offer, do make sure you enter such a visit on your “to do” list.
This is my first trip outside New Zealand caching and enjoyed getting this cache with Team SPINZ tftc
Found on our Rutherglen Mega trip, all logs signed as SPINZ (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Isis58 and Nanzie from NZ). Sorry about the cut and paste logs. TFTC

Out for a short bike ride today to pick the first part of this trail. A lovely track to be heading down. Loved all the straight forward and quick finds. Tftc!!
Had a nights accommodation booked in Wangaratta as my geohusband had a jet fighter plane flight booked. When the flight was cancelled due to the weather forecast we still made the trip up and hit the rail trail for some caching. The plan was to do as much of the trail as we could. TFTC
Day 8 of our southern trip. Wangaratta to Creswick
I created a cache called Blue Poles up in Brisbane - even did my own artwork.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on January 17, 2022. TFTC, BettyBoo3747.

Nice quick find here, thanks CO.

So excited to be attending my first MEGA and to be out and about after what seems like ages. Have been working very long hours for the past few months on the pandemic front so to have a few days for caching seems like an absolute luxury.
Great to meet new faces and to spend caching time with some familiar cachers as well.
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

In Wangaratta for the Mega, we traveled over early so we could get some local caching in. After stowing the shop in a storage shed so it wasn't bouncing around in the back of the car we set up in the caravan park and can now cache and explore. Today we headed out early to beat the heat but also we were on a timeframe! A quick find here.. TFTC

An easy find to start my day, riding the trail with my e-bike to test out it's range. I was going to ride all the way out to Eldorado Rd from North Cedars CP and cache my way back but it got the better of me and I started early! Thx BettyBoo3747 ftc.

Unfortunately this one has been muggled. New container and log book now in place.
Unable to findthis one.
Te obvious hiding spot was searched well. There was a suspicious pile of sticks but nothing underneath, and all the other nooks and crannies we searched seemed to be bare.
Thanks anyway BettyBoo3747

Out on a sunny winter morning riding the Trail for a Pre-Mega maintenance run. A 20km return trip checking 20 caches and providing maintenance as required. Left some Wangaratta Mega Event cards along the way.
All good with this one, dropped in a Mega card.

Rode the rail trial from Wang to Beechworth for 50km on a cold winter's day. Was hoping the sun would come out, but no, it didn't.....temp didn't get higher than 8 degrees. Lucky I was dressed appropiately and prepared for the day. Not many riders about either, which is surprising! TFTC and series.
Saw the blue pole and then a likely looking hiding spot just beyond. Soon signed and rehidden.
Today we loaded up the bikes on the back of the car and traveled a bit further from the caravan park in the pursuit of the elusive yellow smilie! We had identified the rail tray as a great place to start, and with the magnificent weather Wangaratta is putting on for us we were looking forward to the ride. Needless to say we weren't let down. Lovely scenery, interesting spots to stop for a look around, and lots of smilies for us to log. All in all a great ride- 5 km out and back to the car, a bag load of smilies including a multi or two and only one DNF (until we got back to town that is!). Tomorrow we head back home, but would like to say thanks to Wangaratta CO's for the fun they have provided us. Very much appreciated. We will be back, hopefully before the mega for a few days.

This was a nice quick find on our way home. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
The start of our big day riding the trails. It was cool in the morning but became very warm later in the day. The container was found just where the numbers took us, signed in and we moved on.
Thanks BettyBoo3747

Wow, we found a Penny, didnt really have anything great to swap for it, so left half a dozen little swags instead. TFTC
We found this ages ago, and I have only just noticed we haven't logged it. Thanks.
Found while in the Wangaratta area on a geocaching mission. Started following part of the E2W PT with this find and attempted most of the one I could access from a road. TFTC.
Out for a walk this morning, trying to knock off a chunk of this series. Copypasta logs incoming, sorry CO.
It's that time of the year again, Victorian Mega time, so its off to St Arnaud for myself and the ladies of FurfacesLL. A long road trip ahead, heading off Friday morning and getting home late Monday night and a fun filled weekend. We found many caches of all kinds of variety.. Trads, Multis, Puzzles, EC's, Virtuals, Letterboxes, Wherigos, Events, Cito's and of course, the Mega itself. We enjoyed the weekend and there sure are some unique caches here in St Arnaud, we still have plenty left to collect, so may need to coordinate another trip this way some time.
Would have been just plain rude to drive PAST this cache and not find it... we couldnt have that now could we.... so a quick stop for a quick find
Thanks for the hide BettyBoo3747 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another amazing trip away

A trip down the highway this time our destination is St Arnaud for mega event on the weekend with Rapidlywild along for the ride and to join in on the fun. The weather was lovely with a nice cool breeze.

We set a limit of cycling 15km each way from our digs in Wangaratta. A very enjoyable bit of exercise for us seniors. TFTC
With Mr S being on night shifts and needing to get Geokid#3 out of the house I loaded up the car with our bikes and thought we would get a chunk of the trail completed. Went to jump on my bike and I have a flat!! My bike went straight back in the car and on foot for me. I did enjoy the walk and came across a couple of other walkers and bike riders along the way.
I was on the wrong side of the road to start with, but the obvious place for the hide was soon spotted. Log signed and returned as found. Thanks Betty Boo

Today I bicycled the M2M from Wangaratta to Everton. A great ride that I thoroughly enjoyed. Had a pretty good strike rate overall, but there was the odd inevitable DNF along the way as well. Thanks to everyone for all the cache placements, and also thanks to Nigel for the bicycle hire and shuttle service. Cheers and TFTC
Some of this section of the E2W trail we have walked and some of it we have driven by the time we return to Wangaratta we will have pushbikes and hope that the trails will be a little bit less taxing. SL TFTC
In Wangaratta to attend an event this afternoon. It was an opportunity to throw in the bike and grab a few of these along the trail, that I haven't got yet. It was a cool morning but I was surprised to see, so many muggles out and about along the trail.
This was one of the quick find this morning. Only had to wait for the passing muggle for retrieving and signing log.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

With middle child and geowife at cub camp, I convinced the other two that a trip to Wangaratta to do some geocaches would be a good way to spend the day (with the bribe of fish and chips for lunch). After a nice sleep in and some domestic tasks we got away just after midday. Target was a couple of challenges that I had solved for a while and to also clean up a few in a small gap that had eventuated west of El Dorado. In the end got all that I wanted except one (I have the info for a multi but at this stage have not worked out how to get a decent number) and the kids and geohound had a fun time exploring a bit more of the north east.
One day I will do this rail trail, but like the others around here it will be on foot (I did enough bike riding to school in the 70s and 80s). However, always happy to pick one up off a road as I drive by. this was a quick find and pleasingly the only TB I found for the day - swapped for one that I picked up in Sydney a while ago. Signed and on my way.

Havijng seen the devastation yesterday, caused by 6 inches of rain in mid-December (in 24 hours) I thought I had better ride the Rail Trail and check all the caches. This ride was between Tarrawingee Station and Bowser Station checking all my caches along the way. 15 kilometres, 3 hours of hard work and 38 degrees by the time we finished at 12.30pm. Mad dogs and geocachers only out in this heat. Fortunately we had a car and cold drinks waiting at the Wangaratta end.
All well with the cache and log here. Ready to be found.

Hello - belated log - been here before! Never forget a search or a find, but then again I was on da bike on a hop off hop on affair with sprint in between! Plenty further along to find in the cooler part of the day TFTC series.
Next one while doing the Murray to Mountains rail trail. Hmmmm maybe another ride this one. Found quickly TFTC

SueHut had this one in hand as I trundle up late. Winner winner chicken dinner. Actually, it turned out to be croissants and milkshakes back in Wangaratta.
Thanks heaps, BettyBoo!
