Well this is our second dnf today, we didn't want to admit defeat, but either the cache is really well camoed or its not there....
A D/T 1.5 with no tree climbing attributes I figured we'd be in for an easy find here but after a lengthy search and reading through previous logs, it wasn't to be. A DNF for us so it maybe time this one was checked on. Cheers NZTravellers.
Gave it 20 mins but between the dodgy gps and extensive evidence of the arborists’ art was not hopeful. No luck today.
Had been looking forward to today all week with another goal in mind to try to grab a few Auckland based caches that "obviously" needed collecting (as it would just be right). So at 4am I met up with RWIMF for a good days caching and an over ambitious plan (Home by 3.30pm).
So today I managed a grand total of 54 finds (only 3DNF's) and plenty of conversation. All I can say for the days activity in Auckland was that traffic was all good till just before 10am and absymal for the rest of the time until we started heading for home so that I could still get some chores done for the day.
A quick walk across the grounds and this one was soon in hand. Like this caching in the dark, especially in Auckland as its all nice and quiet
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Filling the dot days on the calendar. Darthcacher1 had a soccer game in the park here today (in the fog), so we took the opportunity to grab a convenient cache while we were here. Also introduced a muggle to the addictive hobby, he was intrigued by the find. Luckily it was a straightforward find thanks to the GPS on the phone playing the game today and the hint.
Found before I played my soccer game. (Still foggy at quarter past ten!?!?!!) TFTC NZT
I had an early morning meeting near by, and at the conclusion of the meeting I decided to come and grab a cache. I was keen to grab this one as I knew the park quite well as back before this geocaching addiction became part of my daily routine I had a few games of soccer here. Anyway, as I strolled down the path from where I parked the car, I couldn't get over the colour of the leaves. Autumn is definitely here. Once I zoomed in of GZ it was a straight forward find as there was absolutely nobody around. Log book signed and cache returned no probs. The log could probably do with a clip lock bag over it... sorry I would have given one had I had my geo kit on me. This is a great one to do with the kids. So thank you NZTravellers for taking the time to set up this cache. As always... much appreciated
While tinytree and Mrs B were at an event in the area I had time to grab a couple; this was the first. Had to wait a minute or two for a golfer who was taking a side excursion to the trees next to the cache. Once he was on his way the cache was found in good condition. TFTC.
had pizza here a few weeks back, didn't even realise there was a cache nearby, a quick find for us
Down this way visiting a relative in the hospital and thought this would be a straightforward cache to keep the streak going. GPS took a bit of time to settle but once it did the find was made. TFTC
Didn't expect these many muggles here today.. some teens playing foot ball on one side and few playing golf on the other side + some random spectators on both sides. I have no idea how did i manage to hide behind the trees and grab it, sign it and place it back as quickly as possible. tftc NZTravellers.
Another one I have been meaning to get but was never in the area before !
There is a school athletics day in the park so I prob looked a bit dodgy going into the trees !
Lots of family groups ...

second time here, was glad to see it replaced and a relatively straightforward find.
All intact, Thanks NZTravellers

Found ... quick drive by while on the way home ... well that's what I thought it would be ... traffic was a nightmare, & it really wasn't on my way home, it was a detour ... but what the heck ... needed a cache to fill in another hole in my calendar ... short walk to GZ ... then easily found & quickly back on my home ... fighting the traffic the whole way there ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,403 for us.
Found safely tucked away and signed the pristine log book. Can hear the thwack of white balls being sent flying nearby.

It appears the container had gone missing, so have replaced container. Cache is wedged, enjoy the hunt!
Can this please be checked to confirm if this is still there or it is MIA, as has not been logged for 3 months,
After finding puzzle this morning headed up this way for a few more caches,
spent way way to long here, backwards and forwards, widened the search, GPS had me all over at times, but always came back to same area, Is this missing, or am I just blind ?

Quick find on this special day. I forgot to bribg my pen, will return soon. TFTC
TFTC couldn't write my name because had no pen. Easy find. Did this one with my step son
Nice find. Took us a little while but was a good find. Had to hide from the discus throwers though
Wooohoooo fhe time with the famz and guess who finds it first my daddy lol great search and find daddy lol
Was on my way to do a bit of Christmas shopping after work, and happened to be going past this one, so I thought I'd better stop and find it, since I know the COs!!! Flicked them a quick message to let them know what I was up to, and got a pretty speedy response...... so I pulled up near GZ and headed for the cache.
It was nice and quiet here today, which made it easier, and once i got to GZ, it was just a matter of finding the correct hiding spot. Not sure I was quite wearing the correct shoes for the task, as I slid around once or twice- luckily there was plenty to hang on to!!!
Cache was located pretty quickly, in about the third place I looked. Signed log and replaced, and sent a quick message back to NZTravellers to let them know that all was good with this cache!
As I was emerging from the cache's hiding spot, I noticed that some builders at a property nearby appeared to be staring at me.... I wonder what they were thinking I was up to???? Good thing I was on my own, and not with someone else- that probably would have looked worse (I think!!!)
Thanks for the smiley, NZTravellers!!! Nice to have another one of yours ticked off my list!!!

My first cache with my son. Yay. Tough to spot. Found first friday of sept holiday
Many muggles around but wasn't seen finding the cache. Foul smell nearby too. Very tricky find though. Tftc
Yay, first geocache done! Very well hidden, forgot my pen, but glad I had my torch
I had tried to get this one a few month back...well...I think it might have been about 5 month ago!! but every time I came here there were some local unemployed muggles doing nothing at the shed in the park which was in full view of the GZ. So I wasn't able to approach safely.
Decided to try at 7:15am after my booty camp this morning. There was a guy running around the field, so I decided it was safe to approach.
My iPhone was pushing me away from the bush into the field, but I knew that was wrong...so I expanded my search and soon found the cache.
Glad to have this one off my hit list.

A few people around in the park practicing throwing discus as we snuck into the bushes. A few minutes later the cache was in hand and, as we were signing the log we could hear golfers approaching. Signed log and headed back to the car for a couple more, TFTC!
Thank you for find number 400!! I actually thought I had come here to early in the morning but my pen has a torch in it and the coords were spot on, TFTC
Another great find on a geocaching holiday in the area.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Nice to get this one found quickly today.

Someone was exercising just beyond the trees so was thankful there were no crunchy leaves to negotiate. Crept in, made the find & left. Exercising muggle none the wiser. TFTC
Had all the joy of golf courses explained to me on the way to GZ.... did I really want to know? No.... but found the cache - Yes!
My boys used to play rugby here when they were younger, but I haven't been here for years. TFTC
After I finished some work meetings not too far from here, I had time to go and find a few caches before heading to the airport and home. There didn't seem to be anyone around while I was here so I was able to search in peace. Took a little while to zero in on the right spot but not too long. Last cache for me today. TFTC, Biggles.
As I got out of the car, a couple of elderly gentlemen were approaching from the general direction of the GZ. As I passed they asked if they could help me as they had just observed a mother and son searching over there for twenty. I explained caching to them and they were interested, wishing me luck as I set off to the GZ, then sitting down to see how long I took. Thankfully I spotted the cache on my first foray into the trees and as I walked back across the park the gentlemen also departed.

On my way south to Manakau for work today so determined to collect a few caches before hand. Mistook a driveway for an entrance to the park but soon realised my error. Well, it would have got me nice and close to GZ...but, trespassing. Anyway, found the correct entrance and made the short walk to GZ. Pondered the options for a bit and then decided that crossing the step bank was the best way to GZ. cast my gaze around and soon spotted the hide. Cheers for the cache placement!
I stopped and had a bit of a think as to where it would be as my GPS said it was on the running track! Quick look in a logical place and made the find. Thanks.
Found easily this time, my second go this time with princess Jasmine and Zarik the Babaric, some times little hands and eyes are helpful but easily spotted this time, can't understand how I missed it last time.

THANK you for bringing us here

Mr F and I decided to find a few caches after lunching in Ptoe today. We saw some golfers on the other side of the trees, but they couldn't see us. We both went in and spotted it after walking in a bit more (hard in jandals). TFTC.
Even though I was at GZ, I wasn't quite sure where to focus my search, and none of the golfers seemed like they were going to be any help. But when I got to the right spot and had the right angle, the cache was quite apparent. TFTC.
Thank u for bringing me to this place well kept grounds and the ting of a tee off. Found with chanellewaru.
Righto then! McA wasn't able to join me on this cache so onwards I went. I see a few cars about but no one at cache area. Initially I thought I was in for a tree climb! But a quick glance at cache page suggested NO-WAY! So, OK, the cache must be somewhere easier, took some searching though I have to admit! But persistence paid off. I was expecting company, being a new cache but no one else showed up. So since that seemed to be the end of these new caches, time for brekkie! McD's at Rainbows End. Thank you for the cache, nicely hidden. FTF#70

Out today with Josh of JoJa1213 today to find these 4 new caches . . . . . . we located this one after a bit of a hunt whilst trying to use the app oN Joshs cell phone . . . . . . went around and around and then narrowed it down . . . . . . . and there it was a hint of something sparkling at me from it's hidey hole. TFTC and seeing the Grange from a different angle
Using the geocaching app was quite hard. With it being quite a few metres out of GL, then having more trouble as cache wasnt at its GL. Nice little hide, out with SethRaven today TFTC
