Logs
This cache has been damaged and will be replaced any logs for finds for November will not be accepted particularly log book not signed
I'm going to claim the cache as found, but the container is destroyed, and has no log.I will message the CO.I also was one of Simon's close friends in school when he tragically was killed.I thank Darjeeling and otter Creek 29 for this cache, and helping me remember a forgotten past.
Sorry but this one will be unavailable for a couple of weeks until I get to fix and put new container and log book.
After scooting around the cemetery, I headed out here... Easy find. Bullants have made a home in the cache hidey hole. Managed to log it without disturbing the nest. TFTC DD
Cache found without any issues, Except the nest of Soldier ants that now call this place home. Be careful retrieving the cache and dont get bitten!. All looks to be good with the cache, Log signed and returned okay.
Heartbreaking walking through the kids section here. Glad you have this memorial to think of your friend TFTC
Find 5084 on April 1, 2024Found on our way home from the Capital Geobash. Today we traveled from Canberra to Wagga Wagga. Nice quick find but watch the ants. All is well with the cache. TFTC Darzee Di
Finally we are on our way to Canberra for the GeoBash. We set up camp in Coota for 4 nights and visited the town and some of the outlying places.Today was a lovely sunny day and we hopped on the bikes to tour the town and we visited Huddo. Thanks for sharing you history Darzee Di
Found it (and the jackjumpers nest ) whilst collecting an AdLab stage. Sorry you lost your schoolmate at such a young age. Tftc.i
Found it. As an ex Coota person. Did all my school years there. I remember Simon and remember that day in 1976 well.
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 15:After another swim in the mineral pools it was off further south towards Wagga Wagga, making a few stops along the way.A nice quick find at GZ as we wrapped up in this area. Thanks Darzee Di for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY FIFTEEN: Crossing back through Temora, this time towards Cootamundra, then Bethungra, Junee and Wagga Wagga. The ants have decided to use this setup as a neat entry way to their nest. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Darzee Di ~ ~
It was fitzy_1965's birthday this weekend, so we decided to head out west for a bit of caching.Great weather and great company lead to a great couple of days caching.Didn't see this one initially so checked in with the CO. She gave me permission to replace. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.edited to say: CO checked on 21/10/2023 and cache was there. Checking photos, it seems someone has visited in between. I have been allowed to keep my log in place.
JohnoMawbs asked if I wanted to go to Coota today to find this cache and a couple of others.Unfortunately had a DNF for this one! Will come back to find this one another day!
A quick find on a caching trip with Goldenwattle, Decrypter and Trodectus. A nice hide and TFTC Darzee Di & OtterCreek29
We paid our respects to Simon and walked the whole fence line but there was nothing to be found. We are new to this so we could be mistaken.
Doing a bit of cache maintenance today. Fixed this one up a little so hopefully it will stay dry for a while. Look out for the cache guardians!!

A bit of time to kill in Cootamundra, so I walked from one side of town to the other collecting finds.
The cache looked like it has seen better days and I was expecting the log to be sodden mess, judging by the cache's state but it was perfectly dry to my surprise.
Thanks OtterCreek29 & Darzee Di
Find recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK

Off for a couple of days caching with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
Stayed the night in Cootamundra. Completed a few AdLabs and some odd caches on the way home.
From one side to the other. From Nana to Huddo. A soggy cold walk.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19645. Day 3 of a short trip into NSW with Robmc and the geo doggies. Awoke to a very wet and soggy caravan park here in Cootamundra and had thoughts of heading straight home. However, the rains eased so we thought we would do a few caches before leaving town. It was interesting to see water rushing across the roads in the floodways - not used to seeing that.
Left the geo chariot where it was and walked along the fenceline on the outside, probably would have been easier from the inside as you suggested. Must have been too wet for ants today.
Thanks Darzee Di

Found on our way home from a weekend away with friends in Harden. Made the find quickly and went on our way. TFTC
Grabbed this cache whilst waiting for muggles to leave to area so that we could replace the first cache we found in the other section of the cemetery. Nice easy find SL. TFTC.
Thank you for highlighting the tragedy of a fellow school mate. Always a devastating event for friends and the Community. SL at 8.39am on a chilly winter’s morning. #8813 TFTC Darzee Di & OtterCreek29
A sad story indeed.
Cache found quickly, but it is over a bullants nest. Glad it was cold and the ants were really sluggish today.
It was time to move on from Wagga, so we said goodbye to good friends and set off on our way to Cootamundra via Bethungra. Its still bitterly cold, but thankfully today there were only a few showers and we managed to dodge most of them.
It was mainly traditionals today although we managed an interesting Virtual and a couple of multis.
All in all a casual day traveling with plenty of stops..
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Darzee Di.

We followed a caching trail around town which was a good way to explore this area. Certainlt a lot of history on Donald Bradman & Australian Cricket here.

A nice idea to celebrate a friend's memory with a cache. RIP Huddo. TFTC Darzee Di.
Headed away for a bit of a post lockdown trip to central west NSW. My main goal for the trip was to find GC2F6F (2001 cache), but as always I couldn't drive past as if it wasn't there. This was one of the many caches I found on my road trip.
Thanks to the CO's for hiding your cache and contributing in a small way to the fun I had.

Quite an easy find. Very sad story. Had a similar incident as a schoolboy (back in the 1950's) when one of our classmates died of leukaemia.
Cache is in good condition. Signed and replaced. Thanks for placing the cache
