I am archiving this cache due to the unfortunate lack of action taken to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, gabs1963, requesting additional time.Despite ample opportunities provided for the Cache Owner to respond, their silence leads me to the conclusion that the cache has been abandoned. In such cases, archived caches will not be unarchived, and as a result, this location is now open for the placement of a new cache by another interested party. Thanks,BalayangCommunity Reviewer - Australia
### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information.. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by gabs1963 and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayangCommunity Reviewer -Australia
Being stubborn I wouldn't allow this one to beat me so returned and found it quick and easy.
Spent another 20 mins here. Was sure I checked every possible rock and searched the tree too. Lucked out on this, my third hunt through limestone rocks in this area.
G’day gabs1963, unfortunately I wasn’t able to find your cache today (Friday 8/4/2022). Cheers for the hunt anyway!
After an embarrassing long list of DNFs since arriving in Geraldton, this was a very welcome instant find.
Called in at Woolies then time to grab this cache as we had to be down the road a little.
Mr dimor, picked the location and I did the deed. TFTC
PS cache size is a micro not small

Found wallet out hunting down detective for clues. I don’t think this road was here last time we came up this end of town we will have to go and explore. Thanks
Outnabout finding geocaches to fill the calendar and to be able to access the vault. Thanks for s quick find. Just lucky I guess.
Hi there gabs1963.
We found your cache **"Columbus"** at 10:31:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22610).
We are staying in Geraldton for a few days catching up with friends. When we had a free moment we started our caching run by nominating a cache some distance from our camp site and then took a route that was sometimes determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our interesting trek around the local area
We ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route. (11 finds today & 4 DNF's). Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We awoke to another beautiful day in Geraldton, fantastic after the two windy, wet days when we first arrived. so what better thing to do than to head out geocaching again.
Yesterday we worked in the central art of town and down round the port so today we decided to head out a bit to the south, along the top of the rise first then returning along the coast.
It was a mixed day with a number of well crafted caches, a number in need of maintenance and some great hides. With the outstanding views it was a great day.
We have found 2 from 2 today of this type of hide, but we still find them a challenge.
Great to get it in a reasonable time frame.

With the geowife having to be dropped off and picked up from hair and makeup appointments and this and that throughout the morning, it made some good time for caching.
A great morning for it not too hot, managed six finds and four DNFs. It was nice to cleanup a number of caches we had previously DNFd over the years.
A lot of micro caches around town, which were quickly found with minimal muggles around town during the early part of the day.
Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

We had to come back today to find this one and geohubby made a quick discovery here. Tftc

This container has been stolen, log was left in a plastic bag under a rock, it is in a temporary container until I replace it back to a similar one
Quick find, but not in a container. Bag with log and writing stick semi in the open. Cache owner will need to replace before rain sets in.
Given the last few logs it should have been easy. But no luck. Think it may have gone
After spending the morning caching on Cape Burney with iluvtrekking, we grabbed a few caches while heading back to our accommodation. First spot the geo-hubby looked. Thanks gabs1963
I enjoyed a very quick,
ride by cache find,
roundabout here

We arrived in Geraldton yesterday and after having breakfast this morning we headed out to find some local caches. We started off ok and then things went downhill with lots of DNFS. We only managed 23 finds today with 11 DNFS and I'm sure most of them were missing with a few tricky ones that we just couldn't find after searching for ages. Hopefully we have more luck tomorrow finding caches. TFTC
A great spot for a hide! Popped out to make this find for the 15th Geo Bday! Thanks for the cache gabs1963.
Needed to fill another blank on the calender and nice weather to try. Lucky I had Mr's S with me as I made hard work of it. Don't you hate it when you search and search and some one just wanders up and finds it. SL and took the TB to join the other TB's. SL Thanks gabs1963, good one.
definitely still there checked this morning even after the flooding that went through
Um, can't see how we missed it but did not find it. Maybe someone should check it.
Another found while teaching driving! Thanks for the place to go while logging the hours! TFTC
